Hotel Svatojánský Dvůr

It was like being at home, but a more awesome version of home. Very clean, beautiful and cosy.. Extremely friendly, helpful and forthcoming hosts (it is a family business). The quality of the food (breakfast and restaurant) is outstanding. The breakfast is so copious that the double number of people could eat from it and they would still not be able to eat it all.

At times (high demand?) the shower can have small temperature variations. Barely noticeable, but I mention it for completeness' sake. When the restaurant is almost full, it can take over an hour until you get your food. Outside the rush hour the waiting time is short, about 15 minutes.

This is an extraordinary hotel in the middle of a huge social housing area consisting mainly of communist era appartment blocks. It is a traditional style hotel, based on the original farmhouse which has stood on this site for hundreds of years when the area was farmland. Despite its rather incongruous setting it is a superb hotel and restaurant with great staff and good food. It is easily accessed from central Prague via the metro station round the corner. Our room was extremely comfortable, of good size with period furnishings, and the ensuite was exceptional.

We would have liked a kettle in our room though tea is readilly available from room service. A minor detail considering the excellent overall experience.

I think everyone has his favorite places to go and to stay. This particular hotel becomes my favorite place to stay in Prague. It is far from crowded and noisy streets, which is important for me. But public transportation in Prague is so good that you can easily get to the very center of the city in 20-25 minutes. Hotel is nicely furnished with antique furniture. My room was not big but good equipped and extremely clean. The bed is wide and comfortable. I didn’t see the air conditioner, so I don’t know if it will be ok inside in summer time. Restaurant was excellent. Quality of food and size of portions, especially breakfast, are surprising. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Miroslav for his hospitality.

My first time in Prague. Hotel family made my stay a very pleasant one. Hotel Room was comfortable and had everything I needed. With a restaurant being in house, this was a nice addition as full service for breakfast, lunch & Dinner if desired. Food was great & prices excellent, Not your normal high mark up most hotels do. Close proximity to the Metro made getting around easy in Prague. Staff were all nice and made sure your needs were met. Added bonus to me was seeing decorations up for a Czech wedding and customs. Will return to Prague in future and stay again. Had a great time getting to know about Pragues history & history of hotel also.

Absolutely amazing hotel and restaurant. Cozy and stylish - rooms look amazing and decorated using natural materials. The hotel is owned and managed by family. The manager - Mr Miroslav is a very friendly and kind person, the same is the staff. My daughter and I got the most warm welcome. I should mention the restaurant's Chef - he does a great job. We're very much impressed by the variety and taste of dishes (especially we liked spicy shrimp 🍤 and the accompanying sauce). I'll definitely come back and stay in this nice place. Absolutely no doubt.

A very special place to stop, in a most unusual location - it's almost like a fancy French chateau among tower blocks. Decor is antique led, giving the place a pleasantly dated feel. Room was elegantly furnished, with a faultless bathroom, and looking out onto the side garden. A warm welcome and very friendly staff. The main dining room, which also serves for breakfast, is a vaulted but well-lit undercroft. There's also a pleasant garden area to the front. Breakfast is very good. The restaurant menu is both classy and traditional, with a good choice of Czech beers too. The nearest metro station is walkable.

I could not ask for more. The stay and the service we received were spectacular. The hotel is a work of art, carefully decorated with antique or vintage objects; it makes you feel back in time and like royalty. The room was spacious, clean, and cared for in every detail. The welcome from the host was amiable and helpful. The food in the restaurant was of exceptional quality, and the breakfast was plentiful. The location is safe and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the old town. 5 minutes away, there is a subway that takes you to the city center of Prague in about 15 to 20 minutes. It is also close to venues where activities such as concerts are held, so it is strategic for these cases. I totally recommend it for extended stays.

Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, spacious room with a really nice bathroom in an ancient courtyard renovated and managed by Miroslav’s family. The staff was really kind and helpful; they even helped out my partner in surprizing me with a nice bouquet for my birthday. Food was excellent, with custom breakfast including everything you could wish for served at the table and really tasty traditional meals served in the family-owned restaurant for dinner. The facility is located in a quiet neighbourhood, just 8 minutes walking distance from metro line C, taking us within 10 minutes into the city centre. We really had a great time here and will return whenever in Prague. Thank you, Miroslav, for this great stay! 😊

This hotel was 10/10 perfect. The owner personally takes care of the guests and him and the staff are the friendliest I have experienced to this day. It is beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable. We ended up having dinner in the hoteľ's restaurant on 3/4 evenings as the food was incredible. So was the breakfast. It isn't a buffet, but a set breakfast in order to tackle food waste Leftovers go to a local farm, where the fresh eggs come from. During our stay, Miroslav- the owner - even went out of his way to buy and prepare Müsli for another guest who wanted Müsli for breakfast, even though it wasn't part of the usual breakfast We will 100% be back.

I will start with the booking itself - the communication was awesome, all my questions were quickly answered and there was an online check-in, that was very easy to do. The hotel itself is located very close to the highway and a subway station, which was a big plus for us, as the driving in Prague is usually very stressful. When we arrived at the property, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and were guided on how to access the private parking. He also gave us information about the property, showed us the rooms and even helped us with the luggage. We were interested about the restaurant itself and he offered to book a table for dinner. The hotel itself is designed in a very beautiful vintage stile. This style with refurbished furniture is really awesome! The rooms two rooms in our apartment were very comfortable and well isolated from each other. There was also free of charge sparkling water in the rooms. The bath was also very comforable. In the evening we visited the restaurant, which is also really nice. We got free welcome drinks from the owner, which was very nice from him. The food (especially the ribs and their home-made sausages) and the beer were great and the prices are very reasonable. It was a great staying in Prague thanks to the very warm and welcoming owner of the hotel. I would reall recommend visiting this hotel, when you go to Prague.
