Novotel Paris La Defense Esplanade

The Hotel was very close to the Metro Station which has a direct connection to Champs Elyssee all the way to the Louvre , and one station away from La Defense Arch where there is a huge shopping complex with a supermarket and asian restaurants. The room was big and clean, and the bed quite comfortable. The reception and housekeeping staff were quite pleasant.

The room is very warm. The guy at the reception explained that since it is winter, the airconditioning is set at high temperature. The problem is the window can't be opened so even if its cold outside the cool air can not enter the room which makes it verrry warm.

Difficult way to reach the parking, but it’s fine.

Location is excellent as we are walkable distance to metro station. Its also 10 mins walk to Westfield shopping center which has everything you need for shopping, food and supermarket, etc.,

adding breakfast to our stay was little bit expensive and we opted it out. It could be a great option to have as part of the booking as going out everyday for breakfast with family is not great when you woke up from a tiring sight seeing the day before.

Location, conditions and price

They change the password to access parking really often and don’t inform customers, then we lose time to go to reception to get correct one. They suppose to have such type of changes on Fridays for the weekend, but not changing in the weekends.

Location was good, a walk away from the Palais Des Congres and activities around it. I also was happy with the room, especially the cleanliness. And the problem with the flush in the toilet was handeld right after my arrival before I even realized to ask for help. Most of the personnel spoke fluent English. Breakfast was decent but not special.

Hard to say, I basically only spent the nights and mornings at the hotel. Most of the day I was inolved in the congress and free-time activities oganized by our hosts.

Very friendly staff, even gave colours and mini teddies to my children. I requested an eiffel tower view and it was a great surprise for my daughter. Had dinner and breakfast included, very tasty and well looked after by a new member of staff (don't remember his name 🙈) The hotel looked after our bags after we checked out so we were free to explore Paris. Would stay again.

Clean room

Same breakfast every morning and very small breakfast room. Some food missing if you came later. The staff took our bags from the hallway while we seat in the lobby,waiting for a taxi.As an excuse, they said that the luggage should not be left alone in the corridor. after we asked for the cameras to be checked, they return it. so make sure the luggage is always in your sight.

Great location right in L’Defense. Metro station is a few minutes walking. Rooms were clean and relatively spacious (for Paris).

Hotel is going through some remodeling, but definitely needs a facelift. Carpets were old and some of the wall paint was coming off. This can give the impression of dirty, but like I mentioned the rooms were super clean.

Great views of the city and Eiffel Tower. Fantastic service and friendly staff. Thanks to the bar and restaurant staff over the weekend great food and service was quick. Beautiful decor and clean. However we had to wait 15 mins for a seat for breakfast. I suggest for a big hotel they can surely extend the dinning area outwards or use the evening restaurant that was closed on the other side. I am aware they offer room service so definitely go for the room service breakfast. I drove and the hotel said they offer parking but on arrival I was told the car park was full. Therefore they directed me to Safons private parking which is located behind the hotels and it’s very expensive at £32 a night and I stayed for 3 nights so 90quid. I suggest parking further over the river 10mins walk for at least half of that a day. Overall a very good hotel and location and would stay again.

The person at the reception was very helpful we arrived at 2.a.m. and were able to book a spot at the parking and settle down quickly.

The restaurant at the hotel is a bit small for the size of the hotel so people should look for alternatives if it gets busy. Getting in and out of the parking and finding the right way can be a bit of a challenge.
