Mama Shelter Paris La Défense

Nice hotel with very friendly staff with an excellent breakfast that surpassed our expectations and not to forget the daily view of the city/Eiffel Tower from the penthouse bar/dinner/breakfast area. Tip: the hotel is situated in the business district, however, if you care to take a walk in the neighborhood you will be surprised to see that it is also a residential area with some nice restaurants. L'Angle restaurant is around the corner from the hotel for some drinks and dinner and has very friendly staff.

A bit to our surprise the room didn't have a water cooker. Would have been nice to be able to drink a cup of tea in your room after a long day of walking/metro/sightseeing in Paris. The simplest/smallest of devices would have sufficed to give us that little bit of extra comfort.

With mama shelter you can’t miss! Always a pleasure to stay at mama shelter with my family! The room was very clean and the bed was wonderful.. We had a nice few on the Eiffeltower. Housekeeping every day is also very nice. The breakfast buffet was well organized and had everything you would like to have for breakfast. We hadn’t had the change to come for dinner but it was nice to see that they had 3 different kind of restaurants amazing! The kids absolutely loved the game hall! enough parking spots also for the electric cars! We had a wonderful stay Thank you!

Unique decor and so refreshingly different. Modern technology right down to the lift. The masks in the room made me smile (I got Thanos) and the Apple TV was great. Clean room and bathroom and the bed showers were white and crisp. The beds were super comfy and supportive. I want to bring my daughter here asap. My autistic son attended this visit and he loved the games! The mama diner was belting and the club salad was delicious.

If I absolutely have to find a problem it would be the air conditioning in the room. Unfortunately it did not cool the room, however it was 35 degrees outside.

The hotel was very eccentric, cool vibe, and the penthouse bar/restaurant has a view of the Eiffel Tower.

There is no room service. So for small matters such as requesting an ice bucket and 2 glasses. You have to go to the bar and find staff to request it. This is okay during the day, when not so busy. But by the evening. It’s very busy, and you have to que up at the bar as though getting a drink only to request for glasses and ice which becomes a hassle, not only for the hotel guest but also the bar staff. Simple room service for small matters such as this could improve the experience greatly. As not all guests are able to travel to and fro so easily to obtain such items.

Stayed here during Music Bank Paris. The area was safe, walking distance from the train station, Paris La Defense Arena and a big shopping mall. We arrived a bit earlier than check-in time but were accommodated still. Breakfast at the restaurant upstairs had an amazing view of the city with a variety of food options to choose from. We also had burgers from the diner on the ground floor which was equally good. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms / gave us fresh towels daily. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel was so cozy making our overall experience memorable.

The La Defense area is a good neighborhood with lots of work offices. The distance from the hotel to the train is 15 minutes and to the metro 10 minutes. Breakfast was good, had lots of choices. During breakfast, you get to see the city and the Eiffel tower. It is a bit pricey in my opinion.

There was an unpleasant smell of damp in the toilet of our first room. They helped us when we wanted to change the room, but they gave us an L-shaped room (room numbers ending with 12 are of this type, I think). In this room, the bed is against the wall, so it is less comfortable. Also, bring your own shampoo since they only give soap kind of thing for body and hair.

A new ultra modern and stylish hotel just on the edge of the Seine and La Defense district, I chose to stay here as I wanted to be within walking distance of La Defense Arena and this was about 20-25 mins along the esplanade that runs up and past the Grande Arche. The room itself was well thought out, has a small fridge and safe and was spotlessly clean, air conditioned and had a very comfortable bed. There was also a surprisingly good selection of free movies on the large TV if you're staying in for any time. The metro and RER are a 10-15 minutes walk and there is a very large shopping mall in the same area. The two gents who checked me and out were super friendly and pleasant and mean't there was no need for my faltering French language skills. I didn't use the restaurant or on-site bars so cant comment on those. Overall I thought this was an excellent value hotel particularly if you don't need to be absolutely central in Paris and are comfortable with the excellent public transport system in the city. Small tip - the reception is on the first floor, take the escalator to the left of the restaurant entrance. I know I won't have been the only person wandering the ground floor looking for it although it's easy when you know how.

Loved having breakfast on the top balcony seeing the eiffel tower outside. The place had a very cool vibe. Thursdays was very fun with a DJ. For both work & pleasure it met my needs. The staff was VERY nice and accommodating!

Only thing that would be a complaint keeping in mind I am American is the air conditioning kept turning off.

The hotel is in good location nearby subway and shopping area. The hotel service is very good and friendly. The staff helped me to promote to the room with a view to be able to see the river. They allow me to bring my bike to the room. The room is comfortable.

The window is closed and can not be opened to air.

We loved everything about the hotel - the bedroom was a good size, bed was so comfy, all the movies on the TV were great. We also went to the penthouse a couple times and the diner once for breakfast. Everything was perfect and the staff were so nice! Also, while the location is a bit further out, it’s super easy to get the metro into town and takes no time at all.
