Hotel Du Square D'Anvers

Great value for money! Staff was very nice and polite. I got the triple superieure room on the 6th floor, and the view was amazing. Also, no need to climb the stairs, as there is an elevator. There was an electric heater in the room additional to the one incorporated in the room, so this way the room was getting warm. There is also a kettle in the room so you can make your own tea/coffee. The hotel is very close (walking distance) to Montmartre, Sacre-Coeur and Moulin Rouge, and only 2 mins away from metro line M2, and around 11 mins away from M7. I definitely recommend this room!

No breakfast option when booking, but one could book it at the reception

Proximity to some of the key sights and relative proximity to others. The fact that the hotel is not in the "touristy" area meant that food was much better than on the main routes and water cheaper. Cafes around the corner were amazing! And there was a nice bakery and fresh croissants just a 100m from the hotel.

We stayed as a family of 4. Hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel is very close to Anvers metro station, and you can reach many parts of the city by metro. Breakfast was fine, consisting of bread, croissants, cream cheese, jam and tea, coffee, orange juice. If you consider it is only 8 euro per person, it's a pretty good option. If you do not prefer the hotel breakfast, there are other options around the hotel.

We didn't have any serious problems, but I wish the elevator was bigger. However, I'm sure the hotel management would replace the elevator with a larger one if this were possible. I guess this will not be possible because the building is historical.

Your location was excellent couldn’t avast for a better location, everything within walking distance train and bus two minute walk right in the middle of everything plenty of restaurants. Within a few minutes walk couldn’t ask for a better area, hotel staff for excellence, friendly Hi, Hotel is a bit old, but it is very warm and welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend this place.

that I wouldn’t like was I had a room facing the street and block out curtains would’ve been great that is the only thing

The location is superb - right at Montmartre, at the Anvers metro stop (+ there are other metro/bus stops within walking distance). Very cute neighborhood, lots of adorable restaurants nearby. Staff was exceptionally friendly, everyone I had contact with spoke English. Room was cozy. Bathroom had everything thats necessary, my towels were changed during my 2 day stay. An adorable french terrace you can see Sacre Ceur from. Hotel even has a small oldschool lift.

I was a bit sceptical due to some of the negative comments & while I do see where some of them come from (noise from the street that didnt bother me much; shower relatively small but served its purpose, mattress a bit hard but still no back issues the next morning) this hotel is an amazing value for money, will definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

The location was great as it was close to town. The staff was very polite and respectful. The boss was exceptional. However, breakfast was not continental like was indicated on the site. We ate the same thing for 3 days and there were no varieties.

The rooms are a bit old and some facilities are rusted like the sink, bath, and shower net. It could be renovated to give it a better feel and more comfort.

we were suprised to get a room with both sacre cour and eiffel tower view on the 6th floor, eventhough the eiffel was from a far. it was the highlight of the room! the property also has a lift, plus point! also, it is walking distance to gare du nor. if walking with a luggage is an issue, there is nearby bus station infront of the hotel

the only downside is there is no air condition unit, hence it will be really hot during summer. but it was not a big issue for us as we were out the whole day and by time we reach home at night, it was starting to get cooler..however, dont think it will be an issue during winter as they do have heater unit.

Location is fantastic, a quiet square but very close to the hustle.and bustle of Montmartre and Pigalle. Walking distance from Gare du Nord for anyone arriving on Eurostar. Metro stop on your doorstep. For the price, the value proposition is excellent. If you can get a room on the 6th floor, the view was an awesome surprise.

Some of the fixtures are tired, but for the price you can't expect the 5star experience. Some of the carpet cld.maybe do with a good clean

The location was brilliant. 1 minute from the metro and close to walk to monmatre and gare du nord. Super friendly staff. Great view from the little balcony on the 5th floor.

Didn't understand why there was a kettle in the room but no cups. Also there was only 1 plug socket in the room which was so high up the wall I had to climb on a chair. The toilet and shower didn't look like it had been cleaned at all.

The hotel was in an ideal location, he staff, everyone who worked there were so accommodating that nothing was too much trouble, they were all fantastic, if we needed advice about Paris they were more than helpful to offer advice. The hotel was very comfortable after a long day seeing the sights and quiet too! Could not fault anything about the place, seriously recommend anybody who wishes to find a lovely hotel, ideal location, good value and great staff choose this hotel you wouldn't be disappointed!
