Hotel Rochechouart - Orso Hotels

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is on a busy and bustling street, but the room was so quiet. We heard no noise from outside and we’re in a room on the 5th floor facing the Main Street. Check in was nice and they had our room ready early to check in. The rooms are just enough space for 2 people and luggage. The beds were so comfortable! The pillows were perfect and I felt so rested sleeping in the bed. The bathroom was tight which is very normal for Paris, but the shower pressure was excellent. The hotel restaurant and lobby are beautifully designed. The rooftop view is really fantastic. You can see the Sacre Coeur very well and the Eiffel Tower off in the distance. Would be an amazing spot to hang out in the summer. Lastly the breakfast was well appointed and nicely serviced each morning. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The sink in our bathroom was clogged and the hotel rooms had a slightly musty and stuffy smell.

everything was perfect. the staff were all so friendly and kind, the room was the best room I have ever stayed in with a view of the sacre coeur! we had room service breakfast on my birthday and it was just fantastic!!

This hotel is a hidden Parisian gem. In love with its Art Deco interiors, beautifully restored and updated to the expectations of the modern traveler. Both restaurants are amazing, but the roof terrace bar is absolutely unbelievable! Great cocktails and views to die for. You do not find it easily in Paris. I was initially concerned with the location as Monmartre is not really central. But with both Pigalle and Anvers metro stations in 2 min walk you can reach the very central Paris in 7-10 min while staying in a quieter and nicer neighbourhood.

Nothing, everything was perfect! My only suggestion - redesign bathrooms to add a shelve/bathroom cabinet, or just install bigger sinks with more surface space. There is no space to put beauty products, I had to move a stool (!) from the room to accommodate mine in the bathroom.

Great location in Pigalle, rooftop bar with amazing views over all of Paris including Eiffel Tower and Sacre Couer.

I thought the breakfast wasn’t the best actually compared to our last stay in a hotel in Paris. My husband and I didn’t feel it met expectations in terms of the hot food section-the eggs were not good and very runny. That part could have been a little better. They had a pretty good selection of breads/spreads, but there was not much in terms of yogurt and toppings and/or fruits. I think a better breakfast could have made the hotel a little nicer as this is something that makes a big difference for us. The location of hotel was great and we were pleased being where we were so close to our favorite area in Paris & very close to the metro. The room was pretty spacious as we know hotel rooms in Europe tend to be small so it was great to have for 4 people in a room. We also loved the view!! The rooftop was a bonus for sure & quite lovely to go up to during the day.

I’d say the only downside was the breakfast & we did have to ask for service multiple times after no one came back to clean our room the first day.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Although not particularly spacious, the room on the 7th floor had a fabulous view, with Montmartre to the left. We had no issues with noise. Breakfast was really good: don't miss the café au lait. (Note that the eggs in the basket are raw and you need to boil them yourself.) All in all, the perfect base for exploring Paris on foot.

The bathroom door didn't close properly; you had to lock it from the inside to keep it shut, which is a tad annoying. It was disappointing to find that the tissue box provided was empty on both days and that the complimentary bottle of water was not refilled on the second day. One month after the stay, the safety deposit on the credit card (price of stay + 100 euros) still hasn't been released — that's unacceptable!

the style of the hotel, nice restaurant and roof top bar is a bonus

only a small lounge area to have a drink which got busy at peak times so that was frustrating as the restaurant takes up so much of the space. also our check in was 3pm, but the room was not ready for another hour… until 4pm. considering they charge 50 Euros for an early check in by an hour. we had already hung around an hour to avoid the early charge only to find out it would be late. all we got from staff was a sorry. complimentary bottle of wine would have been nice!

Everything was to our satisfaction. The rooms are small - this is Paris - the bathroom was of good size. Both were very clean, had all amenities and beds were very comfortable. AC worked smoothly and effectively. Location, 5 minutes steep walk to Sacre Coeur along the narrow little alleys of Montmartre is just perfect. We walked downtown Paris twice, 30 minutes and there you are. Bus and metro is also very close. A very well equipped Carrefour supermarket is around the corner. The rooftop terrace is the gem of the hotel - we had free access and lots of tables to choose during our 3 days visit. The view is amazing! Everybody who works at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good! Fresh orange juice, homemade granola, good ham, sausages and cheese. The scrambled eggs were of good quality but cold. Coffee specialties upon order, rest as buffet.

Aesthetic, vibe, historic building, very very comfortable bed, well-equipped rooms (kettle, water, nespresso, slippers, good mix of toiletries), large windows to let air and light in. Conveniently located near Pigalle, Anvers, and Cadet metro stops. Lots of places to eat and drink in the vicinity. I’ve stayed in Hotel Grand Pigalle and Le Pigalle before, this hotel is much better sound-proofed and I had a better night’s sleep. There is a club (Mikado) and an oyster bar next door though they sadly weren’t all open on the days I stayed. Drinks at the bar were excellent. Also the bar staff were very accommodating when I was looking for a late-night water refill - thank you. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we will stay again as I prefer it to other hotels in the area

Room was on the small side (although it is a historic Paris building so this is normal). Not complaints but suggestions: - Small attention to detail would have made the size less a problem if there was maybe a shallow shelf or coat hook in the entrance hall (long and narrow in my room so could be utilised). Side tables are glass/mirror and don’t double as storage space - this could be a subtle change which makes a difference. Likewise, had to use the sink itself as storage so a small shelf above the sink would make a big difference. - Booking.com/Website info could be more clear about the club/roof terrace/restaurant opening hours (no problem caused but speaking to another guests it could be useful to know when making a choice). - Room service options could be more varied.

Our stay here was perfect, the hotel itself is styled beautifully and the staff were very kind and friendly. I think our bed here was the most comfortable one we had on the entire trip, sheets were so soft and lush. Our room was so quiet and relaxing even though we were in a street facing room directly above the restaurant, sound-proofed really well. The hotel is close to a few metro stops and a short walk to many gorgeous patisseries and restaurants throughout Montmartre. The rooftop venue was amazing with a great view of the city, a perfect spot to have a drink before dinner. I really felt like we got great value for our money here and would highly recommend!

The rooms were a bit tight but that's pretty standard for Paris!
