Grand Hotel du Loiret

Great location

Completely cold in the room and bathroom. There was no heating at all with temperatures outside at 10 degrees on 6 November.To their credit, they had a mobile radiator provided for the night (many hours later) . At night, however, we did not ask for any more just for environmental reasons. But it was not possible to stay in the room at daylight, it was cold.

Breakfast was typical European. The location was central to places we wanted to see, visit & a very vibrant evening social area. Restaurants, eateries, gay bar, shopping area, public transport. Awesome!

The heat had come in earlier than usual for Paris so, we wish we'd had some A.C. No air conditioning. It still cooled off at night. Highs, hi 70s, low 80s, lows, 69s, 59s so, not bad. Just spoiled Americans

breakfast was simple but affordable and not bad for the price they ask. if you want to spend more there are many options just around the corner.

The location is amazing. There is quick access to metro, buses, RER as they are only few metres away from the hotel. The property itself is in excellent conditions and there is room service every day. The hotel is surrounded by different caffè and restaurants. Also, there is a Boulangerie and a bagel store. The receptionist are very friendly, kind, and most of all, they communicate both in French and English. I would highly recommend it to consider your stay at this place. You will not be disappointed! The place is next to the opposite side of the Hotel de Ville of Paris, a magnificent view of the building. Overall, I had an amazing stay!

This hotel was in a perfect location to explore all the tourist attractions that are in and around the louvre. (16mins walk from hotel!) However, the Paris metro is so easy to use and at €2.10 per journey ..is not expensive at all, so you can cover anywhere in the city within 30mins. The hotel kindly stored our suitcases for free, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated, on our last day. The hotel is situated in a vibrant area surrounded by many restaurants of all different cuisines, open from breakfast onwards, bars, and multiple shops all within a 10min walk. There is a lift within the hotel if you need it. Closest metro was Chatelet. About 10min walk. All staff were lovely and spoke English too... a bonus. Didn't notice any air-conditioning. But our room had 2 sets of doors that opened onto Juliette balconies. There was a safe in the room where you set your own combination. Very handy for peace of mind. Bed was a 4'6" double.(comfortable) Might seem small if you are used to bigger. We didn't have breakfast...preferring to wander out into the sunshine. The breakfast room is in the cellar. The shower was very good with both normal and overhead rainhead attachments. The hotel provides all in one bodywash/shampoo and separate conditioner in large pump bottles, attached to the wall. Our shower cubicle in room 519 was quite small.. might not suit someone of a large build. My sisters bathroom and shower in 520 was twice the size. Good blackout curtains which kept the room dim. The room was spotlessly clean and bed remade and room cleaned every day. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel!

My pillows were quite hard. Felt like they had folded fabric inside them. Very little 'bounce'. There is a bar on a corner facing the hotel which plays loud music, however the windows are very good at blocking the noise. Could be a problem if you needed to leave windows open but didn't affect us at all. Honestly, you will be exhausted from walking around all day so I expect you would sleep anyway! ;)

The location was incredible. We walked almost everywhere, but for tourist sites further afield (e.g. Montmatre and Eiffel Tower) we were in easy walking distance from a metro. The breakfast was fairly good but there are lovely cafes nearby so we mostly ate there instead. The beds were comfy and shower was great. I was originally put off by the pictures of the hallways and staircase online (which showed quite bright purple and yellow decoration!) but I was pleased to find that these spaces have been re-done and are now a more tranquil blue colour. Great hotel!

The room was a little smaller than expected and we didn’t both have a bedside table, neither of us had a plug socket to charge phone by the bed

Location is great, walking distance to Notre Dame, Louvre, Centre Pompidou. The street is noisy in the evening, but the windows, when shut, provide good soundproofing. The checkout time is 12, which is great, as I could have an early stroll around before leaving.

I don't think there is air conditioning in the rooms, when I was there it wasn't a problem, as it was colder, but it might be a problem when the weather is hot, particularly as leaving the windows open would mean a very noisy night. The room is quite small, so is the shower box.

The location is so good. Walking distance to Louvre, Notre D., cafes and restaurants, Pont Neuf… we even walked to Eiffel from the hotel. The metro station is so closed so you can reach anywhere with transportation. The staffs were amazing. They were so helpful, friendly and nice to us. They even asked us everyday how we feel after one of us getting sick… All in all deserves the price so much.

The breakfast was a little weak. Even though it was supposed to be until 10:30 around 10 it was done. The room was small however it was okay for two people for two nights. The clubs near the hotel were making noise but it was okay with closed windows.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The entrance was bright and clean. The lift was bright and clean without issue. The location was in a busy area and provided access to several locations

The bar across the street closed very late (3am) and tje patrons were across the outside drinking until this time. They were incredibly noisy. This was NOT under the control of the hotel but did mean whilst the weather was warm that to sleep you could not open the windows

Exceptional location, absolutely cannot fault the location. So many things within walking distance, and a patisserie in the same building too. It was a clean room and bathroom, and cleaning staff put my flowers in a pot of water when I'd left them lying around, which was so nice of them. Staff at reception were very friendly and kind and helpful.

The only thing I would say is a con is not having a kettle in the room and instead needing to buy hot drinks from a machine on the ground floor.
