Hotel Dupond-Smith

The location of Hotel Dupont Smith is ideal. Although it is a short walk to some of the sights the best was to see Paris is on foot. That said the Metro is a five minute walk so Paris is easily accessible. The Marais area, in which the hotel is located, is welcoming and friendly and there is plenty there to see and do with a great variety of restaurants. The Hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the staff will do all they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible - we could not have asked for more. Hotel Dupond-Smith will be the first place we would look to book when we return to Paris

There truly were no negatives

Location is great, right in the heart of the Marais. Next to a lot of shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Junior Suite so that was great because it was huge.

Bathroom fittings are not ergonomic. The shower taps were difficult to handle and also not intuitive, and the overhead shower would not turn off immediately. The taps were particularly difficult for my elderly mum to use. Sink is too shallow and the counter top would get very wet after washing your face. The fragrance diffuser in the toilet was empty and so useless. The hotel is very poorly signed so it can be difficult to find.

The hotel is well situated. You feel the life style of the Parisien. Little shops, cafés, bars in the neighbourhood. The hotel itself is beautifully equipped. The receptionist, Justine, even baked a fantastic chocolate cake for her guests and was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt at home. In our room we even had a little terrasse.

That we didn‘t stay longer.

Incredible property. Located in a wonderful district with shopping and food galore, yet tucked away in a quiet alley so you don’t get the noise of the streets. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a great smile and wonderful, fresh baked cakes. The service was impeccable by all three receptionists’. Any request we had, it was completed right away. Call this restaurant for me and make a reservation, can I get an ice pack for my ankle, call me a taxi please- all of these requests were done promptly. They always went the extra mile. As for the facilities, the rooms were spacious as well. Superior room perfect for 2 people, and the suite was quite large for my family of 4. Overall, this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The service, location, amenities, facilities and even breakfast were excellent. Hope to visit again soon!

It was a perfect location to see all of the main tourist attractions . The hotel team were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble; they made our first visit to Paris a breeze , with recommendations for restaurants, directions and best ways to travel. We stayed in a suite with a terrace which was lovely . The toiletries were so delightful that I ordered some for delivery to home to bring me a little reminder of our wonderful stay for months to come .

We loved it all

the location is great around narrow streets and good places to eat and at the same time quite area. The room was really spacious! and everything was organized and clean. the terrace was something else! specially for smokers however I don’t think all rooms come with one please check.

the only down side is that some noise was there from the streets, not too much but sometimes you can hear people chattering. Also, this is a small cozy boutique hotel, so if you are expecting big lobby and 5 stars vibe this is not your place. however it is really comfy and cozy

Hotel Dupond is located in a lovely area that is very central and well connected with trains from the airport and the metro to all the major sites. The room was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful. They gave us a welcome drink and warm cookies on arrival which was so nice.

Ideally it would be nice to have a bigger lobby or a bar to relax in but we were very happy with our choice nonetheless

Very comfortable and great location. Betty at the reception was adorable and very friendly.

The breakfast was good, but did not include eggs. Also, the guy who delivered the breakfast, who does the night shift at the reception, is not very friendly. He should have made more of an effort given that this is a five star property. Also, the tablet in my room, which is supposed to be used to order room service and other stuff, was broken.

Everything at the Hotel Dupond-Smith is done with style. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts scrumptious and the service is fantastic. The staff-especially Dany- is thè most professional people I have encountered in a long time. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. There are always smiles on their beautiful faces and hands willing to help. And Dany's dog Gibson was full of kisses and cuddles and reminded us all of our pets at home. I recommend this charming hotel with 1000% confidence.

Nothing

Location in heart of the Marais, fabulous. Although only 8 rooms in the hotel, each one is different. It's more like apartments with a concierge than a hotel. I say this in a very good way. Fantastic bed, clean. We had room 10 with an internal patio. Feels so spacious. Shower with seperate toilet ( important). Front desk very helpful with reatuarant, taxi, Covid tests. We never have breakfast at the hotel but they give the option in a small closed room in the entrance.

Note to management: The door to the bathroom creaked and wasn't taken care of. Didn't impact our stay at all.
