Hotel Louison

super location close to Hotel des invalides and Eiffel tower. lovely decor, comfortable well equipped rooms. loved how the hotel left wine and nibbles for the residents to enjoy just before dinner time.

we asked for a quiet room and it was quiet from the road, but you could hear the old fashioned lift shaft gojng up and down anytime someone used it.

Lovely hotel, with all the amenities we needed inc. shower toiletries, hair dryer, teas, kettle, fridge etc. Small but tidy and efficient room. All staff were lovely and provided information regarding transport and vegan restaurants in the city.

-On arrival and our first night, the room was very dusty (almost like the room had been made up for a while before being used) and it was uncomfortable to breathe/sleep in. Staff was very apologetic and had it cleaned for the next day. -We were told in advance that vegan breakfast would be available but it wasn’t, which was an issue as there were no vegan-friendly places nearby. Staff was apologetic and helped to find other vegan places in Paris. -The doors/walls are thin so you can hear neighbouring rooms open and close doors (which didn’t really bother us, but just a heads up) -And the road can get quite noisy with the traffic, even through the night.

Very welcoming, staff extremely helpful Lounge opened at 6:30pm for drinks, canapés and games- all free! Reception 24 hour so didn’t need to take the key out There’s a lift for the heavy suitcases!! The pillows didn’t leave much to be desired for me. I tried every single one available in the room but all were too uncomfortable for me to get a decent nights sleep. Parter had a great sleep though so it’s hit and miss. I would prefer to have a choice of firmness as some hotels have extra choice in the cupboard. Our extras were all the same On a chilled holiday I could cope with not sleeping too well but on a touristy holiday you really need the energy for the walking. The pillows is literally the only thing I would say I didn’t like so on the whole I think that’s pretty good

The reception staff were charming and kind and very helpful. We had 2 breakdowns But after we complained Tipal took charge of the morning and compensated us with breakfast. The hotel was clean, convenient location and close to the metro, a little small room for the price, there is happy hour which is nice and a coffee machine accessible to everyone

Lovely room - not too small considering most rooms in Paris can be quite small - fabulous decor throughout the hotel - very friendly staff - great location - very central for sightseeing.

The shower was a bit inefficient - the showerhead was pretty small and hadn't got great water pressure - I assume because of older plumbing as the building is obviously quite old...it was ok for the couple of days that you might be there - good size bathroom otherwise.

though the rooms are small, the staff was incredible. friendly, accommodating with every request. the breakfast was fantastic and we often used some of it for lunch. every staff member from room cleaners to manager were wonderful. even though my hubby is 6’3, and hallways are small, the bed was extremely comfortable and long enough. easy bus, subway and walking access to many noted places

for some people, the room sizes might be an issue. but we have zero complaints the place is very charming and well outfitted

I really appreciate the attitud of the personal! They were really nice with us, even when we did a mistake with the reservation, they were able to extend our stay! And helps us yo get a taxi at 3 am to get to the airport! They were really nice people!! The location of the hotel is really good

I think everything was good!! The only little thing (that it is not a problem) is that they asked us to deliver our key when we go outside, and when back, they return the key to us, but i think everything is good!! 😀

Liked the friendly staff!!! Always there to help if needed. When you enter, there is a nice calm feel in the lobby area with several sitting areas, with organic tea and citrus water available throughout the day. The complimentary happy hour wines were set out at 6 pm and are an appreciated amenity. Various board games are available for visitors to use. The room itself has a window that opens fully if desired. The heating and cooling system is effective. The location is close to various Metro stops but the hotel itself provides guests with a quiet area for sleep. The bed and linens were nice and the room is refreshed daily. We really enjoyed the hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

The staff is amiable and ready to help you out. The room was clean and kept very clean during our stay. The beds are relatively hard, perfect for me, but this might be a thing for others. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood near metro stations 12 and 4 (busses as well). From Gare du Nord, it takes 20-30 minutes to get there by metro. Wifi works really well in the room.

There is a very tiny fridge, a mini-bar, filled with expensive stuff. But I rather see a fridge where I can bring my own drinks in, especially when the weather is so warm during the peak of the summer. The room does not come with coffee and thee making facilities.

It is easy to recommend Hotel Louison. Their staff is super friendly and helpful. It's top notch. I loved the nightly drink bar, the breakfast was great, and I loved the still/sparkling water bottles that we could bring to our room. The room was large for Paris and the shower had a bathtub which was nice. We did not expect a small refrigerator, but it was an amazing surprise and so helpful during our 5-night stay. The pros definitely outweighed the cons -- you couldn't go wrong staying at Hotel Louison. Such fantastic customer service. They have great umbrellas at reception. They also hooked us up with a fan during our stay, which was amazing. It helped us sleep that much better. They also had great AC. For Americans and other ice lovers: If you ask they reception for ice, they may give you a small/medium sized cup -- but you can ask for a champagne bucket and it's perfect. We thought we might stay an extra day, though we ultimately didn't, and were grateful for the staff's willingness to help us find a solution (on a holiday weekend, no less).

There are only 3 things that come to mind, but I do no think they would dissuade me from staying again: 1. Bed could be a tad larger, 2. Bed could be more comfortable (it was the best hotel we stayed in, but maybe my least favorite beds during my 2-week trip to Europe), and 3.) the shower water pressure could be better (but it was sufficient and I am grateful for the hotel's efforts to reduce its environmental impact.)
