Hôtel Marais Bastille

Great location close to Le Marais and Bastille. Only a few stops on metro to Gare du Nord for Eurostar. or into central Paris via Bastille. pleasant outlook onto Rue Richard Lenoir which has a park running up the centre. Small friendly hotel with helpful staff. No bar but small breakfast room serving reasonable continental selection which was ok value for the price and probably cheaper than eating in a local cafe!

Breakfast was pleasant and the woman serving it was delightful. The bathroom was small but there was a surprising amount of counter space. The room itself was small as well, but not oppressively so, and the bed was comfortable. The windows were double glazed and kept out most of the street noise. The hotel is located near the Place de la Bastille and the Place des Vosges. There are several metro stops close by.

The wardrobe was small and had only two or three hangers. Some of the staff at the front desk were friendly, but others seemed indifferent. The Boulevard Richard Lenoir is a bit nondescript.

Hotel’s location is very close to metro and bus to visit major sites. Really very easy to use, we didn’t use our car at all. Parking nearby in nearby Ibis hotel. There is a boulangerie ( coffee not so good) and a bio market very nearby. Marais is walking distance with plentiful restaurants, Bastille one minute. Hotel itself is a small city hotel, renovated, rooms were ok size for two, even though not too spacey. We stayed with our two kids and had two rooms one facing the street and one facing backyard. Front one had a small balcony and a larger window which was nice. No issues with noise. Bathroom clean and good, bed was comfortable. It was a comfortable stay overall. Front desk is quite reserved and serious at first but efficient and helpful at the same time with good communication with kids : ) Thank you Jose! Didn’t have breakfast but looked quite standard and sufficient from what we saw.

Shampoo in the bathroom could be improved and a conditioner would be useful for those who have forgotten!

This is my second stay in this hotel and I got an even better experience now, with a room with a balcony, that was so cute to watch the sunrise from!

Not much except the elevator is a bit slow to wait for. Especially if the hotel is full

Our family of four had 2 rooms, together at the end of the little hallway- very handy to be next to each other! One room was pretty big for Paris standards with 2 french balcony windows that let in nice light. (Unfortunately, the other room was quite small with one window looking out onto walls of other very close buildings.) Cozy beds, water and coffee/kettle provided, even a refrigerator (loved this for leftovers and wine!)! Nice lobby with fun furnishings! Coffee/cappucino etc. can be ordered any time of the day for a small fee! Front desk staff always pleasant and very helpful, securing us a taxi to the airport at a decent guaranteed price. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the nearest metro. A pharmacy is less than a block away. There is a major market on Thursdays right down the street! I would definitely stay here again!

The street outside the hotel was very busy (but we didn't hear it at night). Overall, though, a very positive stay!

Front desk staff was very hopeful with directions for walking, Metro, and buses. Hotel located very close to a Metro station on a line that offered many transfer options.Room was very clean and provided nice view of boulevard. Nice sample of teas in room

Shower.door was difficult to negotiate.. it was almost impossible to rget in and out of shower when another person was in the bathroom and to retrieve any items left in shower without stepping into it. Shower door was not watertight and allowed water to spill onto bathroom floor.

The staff were all exceptionally helpful. The room we moved to was delightful. The shower room was a little small. Overall the hotel was well situated and very reasonably priced.

We had asked for a twin and that room was dark and small with a window into the light well. We were very disappointed to find that all the twin rooms were at the back and therefore had no views on to the street. We had to move to a room where we shared a bed. It was a queen so was quite comfortable. We were very happy with our new room.

Lovely staff made our stay here exceptional. From the warm welcome when we arrived late in the evening to the help on offer whenever needed it was like staying with very kind friends. The room was immaculate and cleaned every day. Good bathroom with powerful hot shower and a big comfortable bed. Kettle and a fridge in the room was a great amenity. There is no end of bakeries, bars, brasseries and shops nearby. Location was superb-5 min walk from Bastille and 1 minute walk to the metro. Brilliant market outside the hotel on Sunday morning (which was very quietly set up-we slept through that no problem! We loved it.

A great little hotel in a good location, very convenient for the metro, only 5 minutes walk to Line 5, and close to lots of cafe's and restaurants. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the room was small but had everything we needed for a city break and was spotlessly clean. We would stay again

Good location. Felt safe. Clean and comfortable room. Light and airy, with curtains that block out the morning light. Basic amenities: safe, instant coffee, shower gel/shampoo/soap, decent sized room for Paris, clean bathroom with bathtub. Nice welcome gift of biscuits and a handy tote bag.

Would be nice to have an ironing board and coffee machine
