Splendid Etoile

The BEST hotel I have stayed at in Paris. Super clean and I want to emphasize this because I hate staying in hotels because they always give me the ick but this one was sparkly clean. The cleaning ladies were amazing when I tell you everyday they left my room sparkly clean. You get the option to have your breakfast in your room which was also another thing I LOVED about this hotel. More hotels should implement this. The staff was so nice and helpful. My room was a superior room with balcony which gave my a view of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. Honestly will be staying here when I come back to Paris. Truly an amazing hotel.

Oh my what did i like?! I loved the surprise upgrade. Was given a lovely suit on the top floors. That blew my mind. The rest was just simply amazing. The cleanliness. The charm. The Elegance..oh my the elegance of everything. The bathroom. The breakfast and the sunrise behind the Arc de T. The sweet smiles of front desk. Really well done and Bravo to all staff. You know how to reward your clients with emotionally beautiful memories.

Emm...i was very disappointed that the bathroom slippers were abit small for my feet ( i am trying hard to find something bad!!) Seriously this hotel is just superb.

Everything from the location of Splendid Étoile to the view to the room itself was amazing. The true standout of the stay however is the staff especially the concierge Levis. He acted as our point of contact for much of the stay and was instrumental in making the vacation so deeply personal and memorable. In one standout example he was able to recommend not only four different restaurant choices for us but also track down last minute Moulin Rouge tickets. Can not recommend this hotel enough.

The pricing for the in room breakfast is not fantastic when there are so many great cafes right around the corner (literally).

The hotel is clean and very well located. Next to Champs Elysées and Arc de triomphe. You can hop on a bus or metro to take you anywhere. If you want the hop on&off tourist tour, the bus stops every 20 mins or so at the Arc de Triomphe and will give you a 2 hour city tour for 40 Euros.

The people at the reception are not welcoming. Uptight, not a smile. Is it a Paris thing or just this hotel? Having to leave the key at reception every time and pick it when I come back. Not sure why that is, I have paid for the room but you can't trust me with the key?

We had a room with direct view to the Arc. It was awesome. It is pretty easy to reach des Champs-Élysées, which goes into the main plaza. Eiffel Tower is 20 min walking

I absolutely love this hotel! I stayed 7 years ago and had a great time, so I decided to book again. It was the same this trip. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The location is great with a close-up view of the Arc de Triomphe. Close to public transportation and a taxi stand. The staff recommended restaurants were authentic and within walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

Location was incredible. I was traveling with my dad who has been diagnosed with long term illness so I needed something easy for us. Our experience was perfect. The staff were fantastic, the room was fabulous, and the view and location was easy to find and remeber so exploring felt easier. We had a challenge with the bathroom but the hotel staff fixed it immediately which was fantastic on a sunday and I was very grateful. Cant recommend enough for a relaxing time in a great part of the city.

Nothing, it exceeded my expectations.

It was near all the main areas and cafes. The staff were exceptional and made the stay very comfortable. They helped us with our queries and accommodated us in every possible way. We cannot thank them enough!

Nothing really, except that they could have put shower caps in the bathrooms. They could also add water instead of only the one bottle when we arrived.

This is a fabulous hotel - the staff were so helpful and the location means it's excellently positioned to visit all of Paris. Our Eurostar was cancelled due to local strikes and the hotel had no issue with updating our booking, and also supporting with a room upgrade which meant we got gorgeous views of the Arc de Triomphe. We're already looking at our next booking with this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel was its location- within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, but also a few minutes away from the direct bus that takes you to either Orly or CDG. It is also conveniently located steps away from the line 1 metro. This can be convenient during public transport strikes, because line 1 doesn't have drivers; and goes straight across Paris from East to West every 2-3 mins! Other than that the hotel itself was great; the room was of decent size for Paris (which still means small, but comfortable!). The room was spotless and the view was mesmerizing! There is an elevator, convenient for the heavy packers and mobility impaired. Staff was very helpful and polite. We were allowed early check-in with no problems. Excellent value for money, I would definitely come back here!

You are asked to leave your room key at the front desk when you go out. We declined to do so and were able to keep the key, but the person at the front desk was displeased and expressed it rather strongly. We had a very pleasant experience with the rest of the staff though!
