Hôtel Le Daum

The location is further away from the city, but we enjoyed it because we did not see that many people when we get in or out of the hotel. There is a coffee/chocolate maker at the front desk for free hot drinks 24/7. Saved us a lot of money. Breakfast cost 15 Euro per person per day, but the left over pastry is at the front desk for free, They are still very good when we have the late night snack with the hot chocolate. One more item, they have an electric water kettle inside the room and we have hot water whenever we want.

The room is definitely small, no dresser, no place to separate your clean and dirty clothes. However, if you know how to live off your suitcase, there is plenty of room. The bed is definitely a queen size bed, very comfortable. We stayed for a week and we feel fine on the room size.

Loved the staff, super friendly, spoke English and very approachable. Facility was very clean. Loved how close the hotel was to the metro, and how close restaurants and grocery store was. We felt safe in the area as well. I didn't get the name of the hotel employee, but she had red/ginger hair, but she was so nice! Super helpful, she helped us with directions to get to places as well as giving us info on how to use the metro system and helped print our photos for our navigo cards.

The wifi always kept going on and off, had to go outside of hotel room just to reconnect, and the room was small. Pictures of the room were a bit misleading because of how small the room was. The addition of our suitcases did not help and it was difficult to move around the room, however, the decor and cleanliness were great. Size shouldn't matter if you plan on just using the room for sleep and storage of your stuff anyway if you are constantly on the go.

Very clean, friendly staff, metro station just 150 meters away, also monoprix market very close down the street (100 m away). A very good deal for the price.

I liked everything, but for some people the hotel could be a challenge: for instance, elevator is located in middle floor, meaning that you first have to climbe narrow steps - could be an issue for elderly or persons with mobility impairments. Also, the subway ride to main paris attractions Louvre, Eiffel tower and other locations can be long - sometimes more than 10 metro stations. My room (63) was also quite small - but hey - you're in Paris! You most likely wont spend long time in your chambers ... so for me this was not an issue.

This beautifully modernised hotel in a quiet street stands just minutes away from a metro station on line M8 that connects easily with several other convenient lines; also several bus lines and the tram run nearby. Access to/from the main railway stations is thus easy. A variety of shops and restaurants, cafés, bakeries are to be found nearby. The large wooded park, Bois de Vincennes, barely 10 minutes away, is great for jogging, cycling, and more. The staff i encountered were delightful - friendly and helpful. My room as spotlessly clean and in perfect state of repair.

The location was in a quiet residential area, about a 25 min taxi or Uber drive from the sights. There is a metro station near but the bed bug infestation of the metro prevented us from using it. The rooms were very clean, linens were nice, breakfast and coffee were excellent. The staff was very friendly and as 4 single woman traveling we felt very safe there. There is a lovely commercial street very near for bistros and shops.

The bathrooms are very tight and the sink faucets make it impossible to brush your teeth or wash your face without getting water everywhere. I know space is at a premium in Paris but if the faucet was shorter or located at the side of the sink, it would be more functional. Also if you are elderly or in a wheelcahir this hotel although lovely is not very accessible (although there may be one room on the main floor?); the eleavator only goes between floors and the stairs are very tight and spiraled.

Excellent space, tasteful, spotlessly clean, smiling staff, very kind and helpful, amazing bed with perfect mattress, breakfast basic but very good for my taste, beautiful neighborhood, safe, very close to a metro stop to easily reach the center of Paris.

There was noise on the wooden steps from guests walking briskly and outside my window on the street from guests coming out to smoke and shouting loudly. Because the spaces are small and close, everything can be heard. On the last day I was unpleasantly surprised to be woken up by shouting from the breakfast area by a group of rude and uncivilized hot-blooded travelers who were screaming loudly and laughing regardless of whether there were others around. It's not purely the hotel's responsibility but a sign not to disturb others would be helpful...

Everything! When the staff learn that I booked this hotel because the hotel I was staying was awfully noisy, I was given a different room than the one they gave me originally. I got a row at the 4th floor at the end of the hall so it was great. They have a coffee machine when you can help yourself whenever you want. The bedroom was class and I loved the bathroom. It was super clean. The air conditioning was brilliant because I could set the temperatures myself. It was 36 in Paris so I enjoy it 😁. The TV was super cool as well and the WiFi perfect! Loads of room to put your luggages and more.

The only downside was the fact that the walls are thin so you can hear the people next to you if they make noise. But I was able to sleep few hours the first night and the last night was just perfect!

Personnel: The personnel was very nice. Pleasant atmosphere with individual service. Room: Everything was impeccably clean. Sheets were changed by default at 3-day intervals but individual wishes were taken and welcomed. Breakfast was good. Very calm (quiet street). The check-out hour limit (12PM) was convenient. There is free coffee (many sorts) available in the lobby whole day/night. Location: Good, reasonable-priced restaurants are just a few steps away (in the Avenue Daumesnil). The closest metro station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, as well groceries and other shops.

The rooms felt a little tiny at first, and the stairs are narrow (however, there is an elevator). To save space, there were no chairs with back/arm-rest but only a stool.

Charming and refurbished hotel close to the metro (fairly easy to go anywhere in Paris). The staff is exceptionally nice, they are really going out of their way to ensure guests are comfortable. Amazing and personalized welcome. Practical rooms (small but well-thought). Free tea and coffee all day. Great value if you have a small budget. Probably the best hotel in Paris at this price that I’ve experienced (and I travel a lot). Very quiet neighborhood.

If you’re sensitive to noise, the rooms close to the staircase might be a little inconvenient at times when some guests aren’t careful when climbing upstairs at night, as the sound resonates a bit.

I loved the location of the hotel, it was a metro away from all that one would want to do in Paris. The staff were incredible and were always there. The hotel was so clean and felt like it was newly refurbished. lovely windows that open to a little balcony, lovely for reading in the morning.

The only problems was that the sink size was really small and the water from the tap kept spilling on the floor and on my legs. But other than that it was magical !
