Hotel Daumesnil-Vincennes

A very smart, recently refurbished hotel in a superb location, close to Metro lines directly into the centre of Paris, and also the excellent local restaurants and the Château Vincennes. A clean, comfortable room, with excellent soundproofing and effective air conditioning and a good bathroom. There is a comprehensive breakfast and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. An important aspect from our point of view was the super parking, in a separate location on the other side of the road, offering spacious safe parking for our classic cars, amazing for Paris!

I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, it felt cozy and welcoming from the second we stepped inside. It smelled incredible as well and everything was clean and tidy from the lobby to the rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful and helped out in english when our french wasn't clear enough. Definitely coming back if we're in the area.

The mattress and sheets were great and comfortable. However, the pillows on the bed were a little too flat and soft for my taste, and despite there being 2, they were the exact same.

The room was very quiet and peaceful (facing away from the road, with black out shutters) which is amazing for Paris. The hotel is in a location with very quick public transport connections to central Paris. The hotel’s parking across the road was very convenient. Breakfast was great with a good selection of food. We loved the crepes, fruit salad and croissants! There are also some excellent local restaurants a stone’s throw away (Titan and Barto) which are much better value than restaurants in Central Paris. We visited when the day time temperature peaked at 33oC and the near-silent air-con overnight was very welcome.

A bigger bathroom would be good but I can see the space constraints of the building, and it was adequate.

Cute, updated place, conveniently located. Staff were helpful, though one of the night staff seemed to struggle a bit with English, but we figured it out anyway. Rooms were clean and cute, small but comfortable. We had two different rooms, one was slightly larger than the other and that made a good difference (full length shower rather than corner shower, and more room by the foot of the bed). Kettle and tea in the room, some English tv channels, and good location. We would stay here again.

The elevator is not technically handicapped accessible, as you must go up/down steps to/from the elevator on each floor. Still helpful for heavy luggage. The walls are very thin, and we could hear the tv and talking of the neighbors very clearly on one night. I would also keep an eye on your credit card used, because I have 4 different charges while I should have 2, and I'm still waiting for 2 to stop pending and hopefully be reversed. Not sure how this happened, and when trying to talk to them about it, staff didn't seem to understand. If the charges go through I will of course bring it up again.

Nice hotel next to the Metro stop Berault in Vincennes in a good neighbourhood. Safe place to go also in the evening and there are some nice restaurants and shops around. During the day easy metro access to the centre, which is very comfortable. The hotel rooms are nice, friendly staff which is there 24/7 and we enjoyed it very much and will come back for sure!

It’s not the properties fault, but they are in Vincennes, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Paris. We went during the riots, so we’re more comfortable taking Uber’s, than public transportation. Transportation into the city, so if you’re down with that, it may not be as much of a hassle.

This hotel really cares that its guests enjoy their stay - they go out of their way to ensure that any issues are identified & dealt with. I also really liked the staff - friendly & courteous. The location was perfect for me - really close to the metro & also the Bois for a run in the evenings after work. The room is a good size & having an inner & outer door meant that you didn't really hear other guests - which for an old building & a busy hotel is unusual).

The breakfast got really busy at certain times & with COVID limitations on occupation, it was a little challenging for the staff & for guests. I personally was up early for work, so it didn't impact on me much (except the Sunday a little), but I know people were queuing at other times. However, this is a small point in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Hotel was very stylish, newly renovated with very good breakfast and in good location. It was easy to get to the main street, nearby were several groceries and train station. Room was nice and the street view was great.

We had a problem with ventilation system noise. It was okey during day, but it didn`t stop while we were sleeping and it was very disturbing.

The room was spacious and clean. Both sofa bed and master bed were comfortable. There are multiple metro stations close to the hotel and it felt safe to walk back during late evening. There were plenty of choices at breakfast.

The hotel is on the main road and there is no dedicated space in front of the hotel for loading/off-loading. It is nice to have a car garage for overnight safety however it is located across the main road.

Very nice hotel with excellent location, nice staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms and comfy beds! It's excellent for both solo travellers and for families with kids. The area is very well connected to both Metro and RER train line A to Disneyland. Also, do not miss to visit some of the restaurants nearby and of course the medieval age Chateau de Vincennes!
