Athenian Montaza Hotel

The hotel was great cleanliness and attention from the first moment of arriving in the country, everyone is at your service, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the most important thing is that it is close to all metro connections or a real bus station. I chose the great place. Thank you for all the services, especially the reception, and I hope to go to you again

Very good location. A street with lots of good hotels. As a result, the neighborhood was safe and clean. Public transport and hop on hop off bus stop very close to the hotel. Both the city center and the beach could be reached by bus in several minutes. The hotel was very nice and clean. Air condition and wifi was efficient. We arrived at the hotel after midnight and there was no any problem - the reception was open. The breakfasts were delicious, everyone could choose something for themselves. The service and staff was very polite.

Room not so big, but I was aware of that. Besides, I didn't come to Athens to stay in room, so that's not a problem.

The price was very reasonable, the bed very comfy. The room was stylish and clean. The hot tub was excellent for relaxing on an evening after lots of walking and the patio area is beautifully decorated. The TV had a Chromecast which was greatly appreciated!

The hotel is on a very busy road so there was a lot of traffic noise on the balcony although not so bad once the patio door is shut. We assumed the hotel would be well connected being on the major hotel road but surprisingly was only served by buses which were fairly frequent but busy. The breakfast was a bit lacking in variety and especially healthier options.

It is good value for money. The rooms are small, but everything was there and the hotel was very clean. The personal was very friendly and managed some last-minute changes to my travel plans well. There is also a good breakfast. Overall, it is a good place if you just look for a place to sleep during your stay in Athens.

The hotel is located next to a highway. If you are used to an urban setting, the noise is not really a problem, but if you are used to sleep in absolute silence and to wake up with tweeting birds, this may be an issue. The neighborhood is in transformation: the hotel is located next to a strip club (and there are two more in the street), but there are also several large hotels, coffee shops etc. Personally, I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood neither during the day nor the night.

Breakfast was amazing, a lot of options to choose from (yogurt, fruit, bread, cake, cold cuts, sausage, eggs, coffee, juice...). We had lunch in their restaurant as well, which was great too. Room was clean, had a great shower and comfortable beds. Reception was very welcoming and helped us calling a taxi the next morning.

We could hear a lot of noise from the road, windows not soundproof. We are heavy sleepers, so that didn't bother us much, but it would've been better to not had been waken up by sirens and car horns in the middle of the night.

The staff at the reception and restaurant are great. My room was quite spacious and I have no complaints about the cleanliness. It's possible to walk to the city centre and take a bus to the beach in half an hour. The food from the restaurant is really reasonably priced.

There are at least three strip clubs in the street, one of which is right next to the hotel. It blasts loud music until about 7am so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be for you. The area didn't feel particularly unsafe, it's just three bizarrely placed strip clubs, I think.

Room was smaller than we expected but it was clean. As well as the bathroom:)

Street next to the hotel is noisy and the windows are not very soundproofed so you can hear everything. Walls in the hotel are also this so you can hear some noise from other room. Breakfast was ok. It is nothing special and no variety.

To make a 100% experience I would leave disposable silverware in the rooms since you offer a water heater for coffee/tea. But this was easily solved as we were able to borrow some from the kitchen.

Very nice rooms. Perfect if you want to discover Athens

A very good spot not far from central Athens. There are two nearby metro stations (Syngrou-Fix and Neos Cosmos), both within walking distance (1 km, more or less - Neos Cosmos also gives you access to the tram for a coastal ride). The room was very tidy and comfortable, although small (not an issue for 1 person, to be honest). Colours were nice and everything seemed modern (no signs of usage or anything damaged). Quite happy with the spot and the price-quality relation. The bathroom was impeccable! Nice TV and even a desk for some work time. The breakfast was OK for the price, a good choice and quality food and coffee. All employees were extremely nice and helped me check-out at 2 am, including calling a cab; even offered an early breakfast! So, if you do not wish to spend a lot during your stay but want a nice spot, this is it.

It is not really a complaint, as this depends on each person. The hotel is located next to a busy, 6-lane avenue, so traffic is intense all day and during the night. If you cannot sleep well with external noise, I recommend some ear plugs. I had no issues, but it may be an issue for other people. Also, several strip clubs and studios (aka legal brothels) are nearby. Again, this is not an issue, but if you are staying with kids, just bear in mind the signs outside, they are quite obvious. :)
