Athens Avenue Hotel

Standard 4* hotel (easy to find) in short distance to visit Acropolis and related museums and other important points. The room is designed for 2 people so if you are 3 with the extra bed then it is not so big and some equpiment is missing (glass). But finally OK. Secure parking is available in hotel's undergraund garage (10 EUR/day), WiFi is sufficient, breakfast is a bit wider which corresponds to the hotel category... public transport stop is in very short distance... and as a small benefit = reception can provide public transport tickets (with a small increase...)

Hotel's staff is a bit disinterested, no cordiality at all... what is probably normal for bigger hotels.

Friendly staff, clean, good value for money and great room service, replenishing towels and toiletries every time. Breakfast was satisfactory as well.

Parking that belongs to the hotel, would have been better, although finding a spot in front of or very near the hotel is quite easy. The only remark would be that when you are paying for a triple room, the third bed should be a bed and not a pull-out couch. Especially when a teenager or child is sleeping on it.

Clean and spacious room, good quality, helpful and kind staff, well functioning air-conditioning which was very pleasant due to the heat outside; fully met the needs for a work trip.

Though booking suggested that the room will be with the view, in reality it was to internal courtyard of the hotel and other buildings; no additional facilities in the room, i.e., to make coffee/tea.

The hotel and the room were scrupulously clean! Everything seemed very new and in great condition. I used the Fitness Center and it was very small so I confined myself to the treadmill and dumbbells, however if you are comfortable using a multigym then you might get use out of that as well. The lobby was pleasant and the staff was very helpful and friendly. They set up my taxi the night before which was much appreciated so one less thing to worry about in the morning.

As a woman alone I would have liked motion sensor lights in the -1 level where the Fitness Center is. I went down there at 5am and had to use the flashlight on my phone to find my way in the dark to the Fitness room and it was a little spooky. However it was perfectly fine, it just would be a nice touch if they could have lights automatically switch on when you come out of the stairwell or elevator at -1 for safety and comfort.

The hotel was exceptionally clean,the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was reasonable, it was within 20 minutes walking distance to the Acropolis.

The hairdryer repeatedly stopped working after 3 bursts of heat, the hairdryer cord was too short (one had to stand against the shaving mirror due to the length of cord), there was only one small towel rack to accommodate two large and two smaller towels.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. the breakfast is just great! we booked two different stays, the first one was in a normal room and the second one in an executive room which is more expensive. both rooms were exactly the same, although the executive was more expensive. the only difference is that the executive had toothbrushes, shaving things, slippers and bath robes. also the executive room was on a higher floor so you couldn’t hear the traffic. when we booked the normal room, I asked for it to be facing the inside and not the highway, so we couldn’t hear any traffic. that was perfect!

The food at the restaurant was awful. I ordered chicken marinated in oil, rosemary, etc. and got dry chicken that wasn’t well cooked so I didn’t eat it.

Large, clean and modern room. Lots of useful, good quality toiletries in the bathroom including robes and slippers. Quiet room with easy to operate air conditioning. Very welcoming staff who helped with travel arrangements. Very good buffet breakfast.

Could have done with local and hotel information in the room, e.g. no room service menu, travel guides.

The room was big enough for family of 3. bathroom was clean and spacious. breakfast was having so many varieties including fresh fruits and glutton free items. I seen maple syrub and variety of cheese also in breakfast.

The location is a bit far from metro station and hence location was not that comfortable for us.

Clean, upscale hotel, comfortable and smooth stay. Central airconditioning effective and silent at low speed. Nice size room, very nice, stylish and clean bathroom. Superb, good quality buffet breakfast. Practical and reasonably priced restaurant--not wide selection, but good quality. The staff was helpful and polite.

The bathtub is a bit narrow for showers--a simple shower would be more convenient for me. I asked for a quiet room on a high floor; I got a high floor with no/bad view and it was not that quiet when there was traffic. The garage cannot fit SUVs with rooftop--check the height if you need it. The bed was too soft for my preference, but I think not that good for the back more general--it feels great at first, but I think it's not the best in many ways. It needs a bit more attention to details to make it really top-notch... e.g., small patches of mold in some parts of our bathtub--even though the bathroom looked spottless... the small safe was inoperational--somebody left the door open but in locked position. One elavator door was making noise and seemed like it will get stuck...

Staff friendly , room was bigger than I thought it would be and very comfortable. Hotel is slightly outside centre of the city but this was no issue as the bus (I used the A2 or the 40) was fast (about 5 to 10 mins) to get you into the main square (a bit closer to the stop for the Acropolis.

Maybe some bottled water in the mini fridge (the tap water was fine but never cold enough) , no other issues
