Athens Psiri Hotel

fantastic location for all tourist attractions, food options, and transport. Rooms are comfortable and clean and modern. Staff were knowledgeable of local area.

They have a ‘no visitors allowed in room’ policy that isn’t displayed on booking.com. I understand not wanting to allow groups into the rooms for the risk of parties, but as a solo traveller I would have liked to take someone back to my room. This information should be displayed publicly in advance on booking.com under ‘view all policies’.

perfect location, very nice and attentive staff! I felt very safe in the hotel. of course, it s 2 stars but it was exactly like in the fotos and very clean. I would stay there again, also for 1 week or more...

Very very kind and helpful staff:) They go beyond your expectation👍 Convenient location (Direct Metro from the Airport) Walking distance to Acropolis. Many restaurants and cafes nearby. Clean and newly renovated room. €5 buffet breakfast offered next door was really good choice. Great value overall. Highly satisfied:) I’m glad I chose this hotel instead of AIRBNB and I’d like to come back again next time.

Spacious room, very clean. Good position, close enough to reach plaka and acropolis just walking. Easy check in and check out process, with free luggage storage and helpful english speaking staff.

Surrounding areas might seem quite degraded, close to the hotel there is the central market so sometimes the smell might be very strong, and the streets are full of trash. Area between the hotel and the archaeological museum is sketchy, with lots of junkies around. All in all, one might just need to prepare for the state of the areas outside the central plaka.

The rooms are spacious and have a fridge and AC. Comfortable bed and extra pillows provided in the wardrobe. The location of the hotel is excellent - ignore anyone saying it's not a safe area. omonia square might be unsafe late at night but it's a few blocks away.from the hotel its a 5 min walk to monastiraki square and metro station. The guys at the reception are very friendly and helpful. You can buy water, soft drinks and snacks from the reception - there is a vending machine. Do not let the outside put you off. It's true that there is only a tiny sign outside the hotel but this is the case for most hotels in athens (budget hotels).

I stayed with a group of friends at the Psiri hotel for a week in April 2023. We were all very impressed. While looking unimpressive from the outside (there is just a door fronting the street) inside it is bright and airy. The rooms are a good size and very clean. A fridge was in each room and we borrowed kettles which made our stay more comfortable. The staff were always helpful, friendly and in good spirits. The location was ideal, it is in a lively, interesting neighbourhood packed with places to eat and drink and an amazing array of shops. The majority of Athens attractions are within walking distance and three are 2 metro stations close by if you wish to travel further. Overall the Psiri is a great place to say - a budget hotel yes, but a very clean and comfortable. A great stay.

For a budget hotel the rooms were great, the hotel clean and confortable. There was nothing I didn't like about the my stay there.

Psiri Hotel has good "quality-price". It is new renovated building, tidy, cleaned rooms, fridge and air-conditioning too. My mattress was comfortable, as well as the two pillows available. Bathrooms are hygienic with shower, hairdryer, soaps, daily change of towels and sheets. My room was bright and quiet facing the back. The concierges are very helpful, welcoming and kind.

From Psiri Hotel it is suggested always move towards Monastiraki Square (which is the historical & center area of Athens). This area is safer with tourists who move comfortably. On the contrary, the opposite streets behind Psiri Hotel are less safe for tourists.

The hotel was good for us, overall. I liked the building very much, it's old and with those wide Athens stairs and high ceilings. The personnel was very responsive, e. g. they provided an electric kettle on request (at the same time, there is hot water for free at the reception and some tea, coffee, and water for a small fee). Our room for 4 was big, and oh my, with those ceilings! Rather basic, but clean. And the picturesque market is opposite the street!

It was +40 in Athens, when we were there, and the air conditioner didn't manage with the size of the room. The window faced the wall basically (which was ok for us, because we only slept in the hotel). Also, check the Psiri district before staying there, it's quite specific. )

Very clean hotel The coffee machine at the reception is very convenient, especially useful for our morning coffee and our late evening tea Within walking distance from Plaka, Acropolis, Syntagma Square, Monastiraki and right next to the beautiful area of Psiri with full of taverns and bars. Very close to the hotel, the Aiolou Street begins, full of small bars and cafes, which leads you to the well-known Ermou Street

The soundproofing on the windows is not good, so the front rooms facing the street have quite a lot of noise, which starts very early in the morning around 05:30. For this reason we requested a room change and immediately the owner offered to move us from our triple room number 201 to a quadruple at the back of the hotel. Finally since we liked our room we decided to buy earplugs and the problem was solved In general, we did not hear any noise from the other residents inside the hotel

The room was big and clean, the location simply perfect to visit Athens on food.

Well, the area Is super central, but kind of poor, I wouldn't reccomend this location for a woman travelling alone
