When we arrived,the house looked so welcoming and our bedroom was facing the sea,very comfortable,very spacious and extremely clean. We pre ordered our breakfast of which you were spoilt for choice. Our hosts,Barbara and Peter were the friendliest people you would like to meet,and the breakfast was amazing. There is a pizza restaurant 2 minutes walk away and plenty of other restaurants within a few minutes drive. Can thoroughly recommend this bnb.

There wasn't one thing I would change

We loved our stay at Summerfield lodge, we had our son & girlfriend travelling with us. We were met with a very warm welcome from Peter. Our room was very comfortable & the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice, the Breakfast room had a stunning view out to the ocean. The best thing was our friendly host’s Peter & Barbara for making us feel so welcomed in their beautiful B & B. Louise, Steve, Tom & Claire

The place was spotlessly clean. The rooms are very well appointed . We stayed in room 1 with 2 singles. Nice modern bathroom. Barbara and her husband were very kind and helpful. Very welcoming and chatty. The location is wonderful too. Only a few minutes drive to the beach. Plenty of parking space. Nice view of the sea from the breakfast table too. Would highly recommend. Everything about our stay was 5 star!

We can't say enough about the location and our host and hostess. They did everything to make us feel at home and helped with dinner suggestions and bookings. We had a beautiful view and a warm and friendly welcome.

It is not a matter of "not like" but the only item that kept us from a perfect 10 was that there is no sitting room or area where we could relax. It would be nice to be able to relax without staying in your room sitting on the bed. There was only one chair. Maybe if the breakfast area was modified to allow guests to sit at the tables and play cards or something would definitely help. But again, our stay was fantastic.

Everything. The warmth of the welcome, to the guiding in (we came during very bad rain). Swiftly shown room, which was exceptionally large, warm and comfortable. We only stayed one night and arrived after 9 so didn't get much chance to see too much. Informed whereto get something to eat and drink if we wanted it. Did manage to walk to the beach in the morning.

Difficult to find but that may have been because we missed the turn in the dark and heavy rain. A quick phone call and we were guided in

Care taken in the details of the room decoration. Nice touches in the way breakfast was presented. Excellent food and room and very kind and friendly hosts. Close to the village and other areas for exploration. Parking space was on site and spacious.

Barbara and her husband welcomed us from the start. Bubbly and originally from Youghal, they definitely know every good place to go and visit. The rooms have just been redecorated and upstaged... They are perfect and match any high end hotel. The breakfast is just fantastic and fresh. The choice is abundant. We wIll definitely come back and stay on our next visit to Youghal.

We had a lovely stay at Summerfield Lodge, our bedroom was really gorgeous with beautiful views over the coast, spotless clean and very cosy. Barbara our host served us the most delicious mini Irish breakfast the following morning, exactly as we had ordered the previous evening. Will definitely return when next we find ourselves in the area. Highly recommend 👌

Our host, Barbara, was a fount of information on the local area, as well as providing a scrummy breakfast - YUM! Plenty to do in Youghal, in addition to day trips into Cork and the surrounding countryside. Our drive on the coast road between Dungarvan and Tramore was lovely and well worth the extra time to savor the sparkling green fields of Ireland.

I honestly can’t speak highly enough about Summerfield Lodge, it was an exceptional stay! The room was beautiful and the view was so nice. The bathroom was nicer than most hotels I’ve been to in my life. Barbara, our lovely hostess, could not have done enough for us from fantastic dinner recommendations to cooking us a perfect breakfast the next morning. I will absolutely stay here again and I’m already looking forward to it. Thank you Barbara for taking such good care of us, you’re one in a million!
