White Sands Hotel

Very friendly staff. Exceptionally good food in the hotel bar/restaurant (seafood linguine).

Sad to see disposable cups in the room, seems like unnecessary waste.

The room was a very good spacious size, very comfortable beds. It had all of the items we required - e.g. a clean bedroom, a TV that worked fine, there was a hairdryer and fresh towels changed on request. The hotel location was perfect for my 6 year old child and I to spend hours at the fabulous beach across the road and return to the room afterwards to freshen up and enjoy fabulous meals in the hotel bar area. The evening meals were practically cooked to order and the service and attention from the staff much appreciated. There was a small shop within a two minute walk from the hotel for general supplies and a bucket and spade! The hotel had ample car parking and fabulous uninterrupted views of the sea. We loved our stay and will return for another Irish beach holiday within the year. The reception was always staffed, (Bravo) and really happy to help or chat about our plans for the day. The inside and outside areas were always being swept and kept clean too. Well Done and thank you to the whole team.

The staff were lovely. 24 hour reception. Easy check in on arrival. Easy process at breakfast. The dining area was lovely with a seaview and breakfast was very nice also. The location was perfect. Free parking on site. We will definitely stay again.

Despite reading about the towel rack being too close to the toilet I still managed to burn myself with it when I arrived. It's unavoidable if you want to sit on the toilet however I turned it off and had no problems afterward. I found the bed and pillows uncomfortable but that's a very subjective thing and varies from individual to individual so it's not really a complaint at all. The bedding was soft and clean and the room had everything we needed.

Superb location with an amazing view. Lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed. Very welcoming staff who answered all my questions. Early check in was not a problem which was great. Lots of places to eat nearby and there is a lovely coastal walk just across the road.

I don't go to a hotel to watch TV, however when there is a TV in the room I expect it to be usable. Unfortunately the reception on all but one of the channels made it impossible. A minor complaint in an otherwise excellent hotel stay but one that needs to be addressed nonetheless (I stayed in room 103 if this helps).

White Sands Hotel was our base for a family gathering to remember a loved one who had died the year before. We all arrived at various times from places as far away as the Caribbean and as close as Trim. The Hotel was our home from home for a week and we had everything we needed - good food in the Oasis restaurant, a convivial atmosphere in the bar, coffee on the terrace, quiet "sitting room" areas, friendly and efficient staff. Plus a beautiful beach for long walks, right at our doorstep!

Unbelievable location right beside the beach, I really impressed my partner! We got up at 6 am Sunday morning and decided to go for a swim and to our surprise there were lots of people on the beach taking early morning dips and a yoga class on. There's an ashauna in the car park aswell it's a nice extra novelty to the trip, and you can get a coffee on the beach. We were lucky too we got nice weather!

Only stayed for one night. I had no complaints

You can't pick a better location than this hotel. It is across from the beach and has amazing views. I may be biased, my room faced the ocean. The restaurant / bar was large enough to accommodate a large number of people including locals stopping by for a pint and to watch the game on TV. It was a fun vibe.

My room was fine. I didn't expect to spend alot of time in my room so I just needed a bed and clean bathroom. This room had both. However, the TV did not work and it took two days to get a replacement. I didn't book the room to watch TV but it was a bit of a hassle when trying to wind down at the end of the day. Also, there were very limited channels. But the location of the hotel was perfect!

The location across from the beach was fabulous and as I was attending a concert in Malahide it was a perfect location with the bus stop to Malahide just outside the hotel, so convenient.

The room could have been a little cleaner but it didn't merit a complaint. The room I was in, the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. I did mean to say it at reception when leaving but not as a complaint merely just to inform them as they may not have been aware of it. We just used the bathroom without the fan on as you would be deaf leaving the bathroom. Again this did not warrant a complaint but perhaps for future visitors the fan in the bathrooms could be checked.

this is a typical seaside resort. it is directly across from the ocean. it is not a new hotel, but we found it quite pleasant. lovely staff and comfortable and clean room. we had a room looking at the sea and we loved it. they have a lounge and restaurant right in the hotel. we ate dinner there the first night and it was crowded. we had a lovely meal, Caesar Salad with prawns and a salmon dinner. we began with the squid. everything was very good. although the Hotel may seem slightly worn to some, it has a great feel and personality. we took the bus back and forth to Dublin City Center and it stopped right around the corner going there and in front of the hotel on the return. the H2 bus. 2.60 per person Euros each way. the parking was great.

The location was beautiful and the hotel and food were lovely. The best part of my stay was most definitely the staff, particularly Anne on the front desk - just incredible customer service and a genuinely lovely person. The staff made the stay memorable.

Larger windows in the room to enjoy the beautiful sea view would be wonderful, but that’s not a dislike, it’s just something that would make it even better.
