Kettles Country House Hotel

We stayed here on 10th of June for concert in Slane. This hotel was fab all around from the spacious clean rooms to the bar area, outside area gorgeous lobby and staff. It had it all. We arrived from a long journey and had our meal in the bar which was gorgeous with plenty of choice. The fab Fiona served us and was so friendly and helpful with her recommendations. The bread and butter pudding was divine! We returned from the concert and went to the bar for a few sociables which was lively on a Saturday with brilliant kareoke which we are told is on every Saturday. Would highly recommend. Even though the hotel was busy we had a lovely peaceful and comfortable sleep in the very comfortable beds. Check out receptionist was so friendly and lovely too-didn't catch his name. Would definitely return and bring the family the next time.

We missed our flight and understood it only when we already arrived to the airport. Thankfully airlines changed our flight to a new one for free, but we still had to stay somewhere overnight. We found Kettles online. It’s proximity to the airport is very convenient . Front desk - very helpful. Checked us in in few seconds and assisted with booking a van cab for the middle of the night. Rooms so generously spacious, we were all surprised! Restaurant was packed and had a great vibe. Food most definitely the best in Ireland!

Very nice hotel in the countryside and very close to the Dublin Airport. The hotel has ample parking and is close to the town of Swords with a castle and round tower that are free to visit. Our room came with a unique hair dryer in a drawer that was a nice touch with the mirror. One feature that we were familiar with form a hotel in Sweden was the device by the entry door where you place your room key. If you don't insert your room key none of the lights work. There was a good selection of items on the menu in the attached pub and our choices were very good.

The hotel was quiet and clean. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. About 10 miles from the Dublin Airport, so it was easy to get a taxi (Shout out to Patrick, our driver), who was funny and punctual. Food in the restaurant was good.

Only stayed one night, so it's hard to judge.. The toilet in the room wouldn't work, but maintenance man was quick to fix and very friendly. No air conditioning, which is common but with the heat wave, it was difficult to sleep. Even with that, I would definitely go back if I were in Dublin.

The place was lovely...but we were at.the end of the hall and never had hot water. Also the toilets would not flush on the 1st or 2nd try. They tried to fix this issue...couldn't and gave us breakfast for 2. The man at the check in worked really hard to make our stay pleasant!! All in all the place was lovely!

Never got hot water for shower or bath...but we were at the end of the hall. Also issues with the toilets.. They tried to work out the situation but could not resolve. Other than that the room was lovely and the food was very good!

Fantastic stay. Lovely friendly staff. Our room was ready so we could book in early. We were attending a concert and the drive back to the hotel was a nightmare but it was so lovely to be welcomed in at midnight when we were hungry and thirsty and Jamie sorted us out with a smile and pleasant conversation. Highly recommended beds...so comfortable and the room was so spacious. Breakfast was amazing.

The weather was really warm and there was no air conditioning but we opened the windows and were fine.

Lovely friendly staff every one was smiling. A lovely young man who checked me in after 1am i got delayed in Dublin Airport..also fabulous atmosphere in the Breakfast area between staff and locals . The bed was so comfortable I had the best sleep.. Bottled Water also Tea/ coffee facilities in room. Plus lovely toiletries and a Hair dryer. Great shower/ bath plenty of hot water. Breakfast was really tasty g/f toast, available I had scrambled eggs and bacon. A credit to the owners, and staff. Keep up the good work many hotels should take a leaf out of yer book...A most delightful stay.

Great location, close to airport (10 mins), perfect to dip into Dublin (20-25 mins) and/or explore the rest of Ireland. Swords centre is close (7 mins), as is Airside shopping centre (8 mins). Onsite cafe serving proper coffee was a bonus.

Menu in restaurant had nothing for vegetarians (except nachos and chips), not an issue as Swords is so close but would have been nice to stay in one night and try it.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful- all of the staff were courteous and very polite and extraordinarily helpful which is unusual to find these days. I would highly recommend this hotel - it is a 3 star hotel but on the basis of the staff would certainly state everyone was so kind and accommodating that based on the staff one should rate this hotel to a higher level. I recently stayed in a 5 star hotel and have stayed in many 5 star hotels but the staff here outshone any in these hotels. For sure it is rated as a 3 star but when you are welcomed by a friendly staff after a long day and are tired etc one needs to praise the hotel for its staff. Kindly extend my gratitude to the proprietor of this hotel

Nothing of note-

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good. The bed is super comfortable. The grounds were immaculate, and the area was very quiet and really handy.

Overall, the hotel was clean. However, there were a few areas that sometimes were overlooked. Around the shower screen in the bathroom for 1. The room was warm but the weather was very hot. Maybe a fan in the room, which was probably available on request, so that's nothing major.
