Zanhotel Regina

We received a very warm welcome from the receiving staff and this warm friendly manner continue throughout our 3 day stay from all staff at the hotel. Our room was a great size, the bed was very comfortable and lovely pillows. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a great selection and being able to order a latte with breakfast was an unexpected extra. Upon leaving we needed to get a taxi to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. There were difficulties with taxis in Bologna at the time which we knew nothing about. The night receptionist spent almost 40 minutes calling taxi after taxi trying to find us one. His persistence paid off (for us). We send our thanks for his diligence.

When we asked the reception to order us a taxi from the night before, we were told there is no need as there won't be a problem at that time of night. Unfortunately there was and it did cause us and the night receptionist some stress. However, it all ended ok. The toilet brush could do with replacing.

Beautiful, clean, friendly, comfortable, and in the center of the historic district. Really wonderful breakfast with great variety - eggs/bacon, cheeses/hams, fresh fruit, fresh pastries, coffees, juices, cereals, etc . Surrounded by great restaurants and bars, right next to an outdoor market with many vendors from clothes to food. Right between the train station (800 meters) and the Piazza Maggiore (700 meters), so can walk anywhere. All the staff were extremely helpful with advice, making dinner reservation (absolutely required in Bologna), calling cabs (difficult.) Small but functional lift. On a noisy busy street but great soundproofing. Really loved this hotel and would recommend in a second.

Would have been nice to have a chair or two in the room, but not uncommon in Italy. Only thing provided was a single low makeup stool.

Everything was 10/10. • The personnel was kind enough to call me a taxi at 4 a.m. (in the morning) to get to the airport (there is also a taxi station in front of the hotel); • My room was everyday clean and my bed was made by the staff; • The breakfast had a lot of options to choose from and you can get easily full. Coffee (eg: cappuccino, latte machiato etc) , water and/or tea included; • I had AC in my room and could easily switch between temperatures; • The hotel is situated right in the center of Bologna and you could get right to the city attractions; • The staff had a positive and fun interaction with us, always helping me and others with our needs and smiling which gave everybody a good vibe, per general;

I did not identify any inconveniences during my stay.

I looked for a hotel not far from the train station just for two nights. This one had a good price, so I took it, without much expectations. But it turned out to be a great location and I will surely go back. The location is just great, close to all attractions, and in an area full of restaurants. There is a square nearby where you have on Saturdays a huge market of cheap closes, shoes and bags. The room was tiny, but very cozy and clean, and the bed extra comfortable. Everything seems to be new. The breakfast was rich enough, even for non-Italians. And the staff was very nice and helpful.

Nothing really

The stay at Zanhotel Regina was fantastic - the location was close enough to the main street and a 10min walk to Piazza Maggiore. Because of that, it was nice and quiet for sleeping at night but still with a nice view of the city. The staff were exceptional, they can speak both Italian and English and were always friendly (both front reception and housekeeping). The room itself was a great size with complimentary water in the fridge. And it was modern with ducted aircon and a nice new bathroom. I loved staying here and I'll come back again!

As the hotel was in a busy period, my check-in was late (after 1pm) but they looked after my luggage whilst I wandered around the city.

The hotel is beautiful and the employees are very friendly. I was staying as a solo traveller and therefor I booked a single room. My room was clean and well equiped, but when I looked through my window, I could only see a tiny court, where the laundry carts where stored. That wasn't really nice. But I think the bigger rooms have a nice view. Breakfast was very good and diverse - you could find sweet as well as spicy things. The position of the hotel is perfect. A 10 minutes walk from the railway station, and 6 minutes to the city center.

Location is perfect. A few minutes walk from the central station and very close (by walking) to all the turist attraction in down town Bologna. The staff were friendly. We rented an apartment which was big, clean and beautiful. There's even a washing machine and a dish washer. The room was very clean and the air conditioner was really effective.

The breakfast was not very good. Not much fruit. The bread was boring. The bacon was cold. But I wasn't horrible. Just not good. I would suggest you skip the breakfast and find it somewhere else in the city.

I've been to Bologna a few times and have tried other hotels and AirBnBs. They've all been fine, but after staying at Zanhotel Regina, this is where I will always stay now. I had a single room, so it wasn't huge, but it was clean and a good size for one person. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The wifi was fast enough for remote working. The location is perfect for exploring Bologna and also not far from the train station. And the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

Big bed filled the entire room but the little table had wheels. So it was very handy.

Theret was only one shower head on the ceiling. So you washed your her if you wanted or net. Manual shower head would have been more handy. I leaved early and asked the receptionist if they might pack me breakfast. He said he would leave a message for his colleagues. Somehow the message did not go through. Anyway they give me a box and I could pack my own breakfast. It is not a big deal but I do not think it is proper customer care.

This hotel was totally the gem of the trip. We totally loved it. They gave us un upgraded room so we took an apartment, which was superb, very big and comfy, super clean and modern, eqquiped with everything. The location was close to Piazza Maggiore (about 10min walk) and very close to the train station, which was very convenient for us. Also, the reception staff was very friendly and super helpful. I want to thank the guys who helped us to find the bus for Unipol Arena ( we were there to see a concert) and helped us to book a taxi when we left to the airport. I , also want to mention the breakfast, it was delicious and fresh and so many choises. Totally satisfied.

The attitude of the staff at the breakfast room. I accidentally spilled a bottle of juice and when i asked the lady for a napkin so i could cleaned it, she just gave me a rude look and didn`t answer at all. Such unproffesional.
