From the start, Carmine was attentive and informative, ensuring we had a fantastic stay. The location was unbeatable, less than a 10 minute walk tot he train station and all main tourist hotspots. Would definitely stay again without hesitation and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you Carmine for being the best host we have experienced and for providing such a lovely, large, clean room.

Unfortunately you are on a main street, which means you can hear everything outside, including people chatting at night and the market which is set up outside every day - bring earplugs and you'll be fine.

The location is very nice for sightseeing, 3 minute walk from Duomo and 5 minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. Bed room and bath room are very clean and comfortable. Staffs are very nice people. I'd love to see them again.

I have so many wonderful things to say about this lovely B&B but let me start with the man who truly sets this establishment apart from all the rest - the proprietor, Carmine. If Michelin stars were awarded for service, Carmine would receive them all. My parents and I were treated like family. No matter the ask, Carmine always treated us with kindness, patience and was extremely generous with his time. To give you an idea: he accommodated my super late check-in (11:30pm) with a smile! Provided numerous recommendations for anything we asked about, scheduled numerous tax pick-ups on our behalf, consistently checked-in via WhatsApp to ensure we wanted for nothing. The man did my mom's laundry!!! He's a baker and provides a generous breakfast, complete with a delicious cheesecake that he makes himself. When it was time to leave, Carmine helped us with our luggage by wheeling it down the street to catch the taxi he had called for us. It's clear Carmine loves what he does and when you stay here you will feel safe, cared for, comfortable and you will never want to stay anywhere else. Trust me - we are in Rome right now - and we keep saying, we wish we had Carmine!! Additionally, the location is second to none. Mercato Centrale is across the street - just look out your window. The outdoor leather markets pave the streets during the day and you are a short walk to everything, but specifically the Duomo, the Accademia, and the train station. Our room was spacious, clean, and modern, which is exactly how I like it. After a long day of viewing so many Renaissance master pieces and Baroque art, it was nice to come back to our room where our eyes and mind could rest against the beautiful clean stucco walls and tall ceiling. The complimentary bottle of Chianti, free daily water - all of these details mattered and we will always come back to B&B Lorenzo de'Medici when we return to Florence.

The room was really nice and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was offered daily and there were good options to choose from. The location could not have been better. But the best part was the staff/host. Before our stay we were sent tons of information about things to do, places to see, restaurants to eat, etc. We got assistance with planning our trip, suggesting and booking delicious restaurant reservations and even doing laundry for free!

We enjoyed our stay at this convenient location. Rooms were clean, modern, and soundproof! Breakfasts were delicious with a broad assortment of sweet and savory options. The most outstanding part was the host. Carmine is so impressively attentive and accommodating. It's clear he cares a lot about his guests and pays great attention to detail. He went above and beyond before, during, and even after our stay! Carmine, thanks so much for your help when we got drenched in a flash hailstorm AFTER we'd already checked out-- what a lifesaver. Lorenzo de’ Medici is honestly the best kept in Florance! Extremely clean,spacious, and in a perfect location! After a quick 5 night stay, I’d be happy to call Carmine a very good friend. He made our stay absolutely perfect…from the moment I looked “lost” trying to find the B&B up to the last minute before departing Florance, he made our stay wonderful! Such a gracious host, he’d bend over backwards to make anyone feel at home. His dinner recommendations were perfect. At one of the best (and crowded) steakhouses in the city he was able to secure reservations for us on a Friday evening where others book months ahead. If my wife and I ever come back…or if I have any friends visiting I would recommend this B&B without hesitation!

Absolutely Nothing!

The rooms are beautiful - contemporary furnishings with huge windows that bring in natural light. Very clean! Remarkably quiet, given the central location. The location is perfect! It was an easy walk from the train station and we walked to all the major sites in Florence from the B&B. Great restaurants and cafes right there. The breakfast has everything you could want. Very generous. Carmine, the host is exceptional! I texted him two days before to let him know when we would arrive and he was there and ready to receive us. He is available to help - gave us great recommendations and can help with booking tours to Cinque Terre, etc..His staff is also great! We will definitely stay here again and will recommend to all of our friends. This is definitely the place to stay for a perfect few days in Florence!!

It was amazing.

The owner treated me like I'm his own personal guest, making my stay free of any logistical concerns and providing me with all the info I needed about the city, places to visit, recommended restaurants, etc. The room and all its accessories (doors, windows, cabinets, etc.) are brand new, freshly designed with a minimalistic modern look. The room is equipped with all the needed facilities (refrigerator, safebox, electric kettle, etc.), which are in a perfect working condition, making the stay very convenient and pleasant. The Wi-Fi was very good as well.

The only thing that I can think of is the fact that the B&B is located at the second floor of a building that has no elevator, which can be a bit of a challenge for the elderly.

this property was situated perfectly for us to be able to easily navigate all the attractions we wanted to see! the property was comfortable, had beautiful shutters, soundproof windows and everything you need for a comfortable stay! mini fridge where the water was replenished daily free of charge, and on arrival we received a bottle and of complimentary wine in our room! nothing was ever too much trouble for these hosts. i unfortunately had a mouth abscess during my stay & was even offered pain killers by the host- simply amazing hospitality! he showed us on a map where to go and what to see, he recommended restaurants for the best of everything from Pasta to gelato! a continental breakfast was provided, had more than any other continental breakfast I’ve been offered from fresh pastries to toast, preserves, meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, soft cheeses, to spread, juice & a selection of cereals! on our departure day we had an early flight and had left the property by 540am, however our host remotely opened the kitchen allowing us to grab a fresh pastry so we weren’t hungry! I can honestly say I’ve never experienced hospitality like it- and sadly probably never will again! I can’t recommend this residence enough!

Location was ideal - close to the train station (how we arrived) and close to Duomo and center of town. The owner, Carmine, was also exceptionally helpful in every way possible. He carried our bags up & down the stairs, gave us so many restaurant (Zaza, which was a block or two away was amazing), cafe, pizzeria recommendations, made sure we were comfortable and set up a cab ride to the airport for us. He would respond very quickly to any message or request and his answers & insights were very helpful. The availability of a crib was great. And thank you for the bottle of chianti.

This property is a 2 story walk up so if you aren't good with stairs, you may be disappointed. I traveled with my wife and toddler so one would take the stroller and the other the baby, but we deal with stairs in our home every day so we had no concerns. The room was a little tight with a queen bed and a crib, but comfortable. It is located in a busy part of town behind the leather market which can be tricky if you are trying to arrange a cab or travelling to the apartment. We met with Carmine a week earlier and got a lay of the land so we knew what to expect. Very short way from the Santa Maria Novella train station so ideal to walk from there if possible.
