Hotel Botticelli

The hotel is located in a quaint historic building, and rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel's location is super central for sightseeing in Florence, steps away from the Central Market and barely a 10 min walk to the Duomo. The hotel's central location also means it's in a quite busy area, that can get a bit noisy at night, but manageable with ear plugs :) The staff were all friendly and helpful, with a special shout out to the gentleman at breakfast who always made sure the day got off to a good start!

bathroom a bit cramped, had to lean against hand basin whilst sitting on toilet. staff entering bedroom at night to “prepare room for evening” left lights on and a window open and put small sheet beside bed to stand on. Reception staff didn’t know anything about this practice. Seemed unnecessary to me.

Hotel Botticelli is an older hotel, with dated rooms, but it is clean, and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable, which I have not been able to say about all the beds I've had at various locations during my extended stay in Europe. The breakfast every morning is a great bonus and adds great value to this property. You couldn't ask for a better location. The Duomo is about a 5-minute walk as is the Acadamy Gallery. Ponta Vecchio is about 10 minutes away. The train station is about 10 minutes walking or a short taxi ride.

The TV could be a bit larger. It was hard to see even with my glasses on. :)

The hotel is splendidly located between the train station and the Duomo, near everything that matters to tourists in Florence. It is in front of Mercado Centrale and a gazillion stands selling leather wares around the Mercado. The hotel and rooms are simples, as the 3 stars indicate. The room was clean, breakfast was good and the service spectacular. From the breakfast server to the reception attendants, and the cleaning lady, they were all attentive, helpful and kind. There was some miscommunication on my part and my room was not cleaned on a certain day. When I notified the front desk, the gentleman seemed worried because the cleaning lady was supposed to be gone by then. I said OK and left for the afternoon. When I came back, the room was clean. Firstly, the reception staff were absolutely lovely. They allowed us to check in about 3-4 hours earlier than we were supposed to. The room was very large (and cool which was great in the Florence heat). The hotel itself is in a great location, within walking distance to all the main sights. The breakfast selection was great and the service at breakfast equally as great.

To be picky, the beds were maybe a little bit tough. The balcony is in a communal area not individual to the rooms (however, we were hardly in the room - too much to see and do in Florence).

Hotel strategically situated to get easy access to the Duomo and surrounding areas, which is what I was looking for. There are many nice little restaurants available nearby to suit all budgets and choices.

The pictures give the impression that the hotel is bigger than it really is. It is not luxurious but it is a welcoming and comfortable place and the housekeeping is efficient. The room was always left clean and nicely arranged. The bathroom was a bit all fashioned but there is nothing to complain about.

The location was excellent. Next to Mercato Centrale and the train station. It was not dangerous at all until late at night. The breakfast was very good and the staff served us freshly baked bread and croissants. They also prepared for us a lunch box for our daily trip to Tuscany. The were really kind and helpful to everything we asked for. The room was spacious and offered the basic things a traveler needs. It was very clean and they changed their towels and sheets every day.

The room had old furniture, carpet etc and in general it needs to be rennovated. The walls look somehow dirty... Also, the shower was so small that only a thin person could fit in.

Located conveniently within short walking distance to attractions, museums, markets and a range of restaurants. The staff were always available to help and also offer recommendations of good places to try. Very comfortable room with attentive room cleaning every day, and a nice breakfast offered with many options to chose from. Highly recommend for other solo travelers as I felt very safe.

Excellent location, on a small street but near many attractions (Central Market, Medici Palace, Duomo, etc.). Staff very friendly. It was SO HOT and I asked for ice a couple times and they gave me some.

My room was next to the elevator on the ground floor - it was fairly loud. The A/C was constantly on, but it was still very hot and I needed to cool myself with a cold shower and ice packs.

Terrible blow dryer Small room as you only have about 2.5ft of space on each side of the bed, about 3ftx3ft area by the closet, and the restroom is so small the door hits the person in the toilet if opened.
