Hotel Masaccio

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the center. The staff were really nice and once we arrived the receptionist gave us map of the city and told us all the highlights of Florence. We were following his recommendations and didn't regret it. The room itself is clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Our room has a garden view so there isn't any noise comming from the street. The balcony is super cute.

We had only a huge problem with the mosquitoes. They were everywhere and were struggling with sleeping. So if you are planing to visit this period I suggest to buy something anti- mosquito because you will need it. Secondly we were at room no.1 which is close to the reception so sometimes can be noisy. We have that lack that the guests were really quiet and we hear only when the door was opening.

We stayed in 2 different bedrooms (we decided we wanted to stay one night longer). Both had their own shower, one its own toilet. The rooms were really nice and clean. Nice staff, at checkin we got a map and information about the city and at checkout we were offered the option of leaving our luggage. Very nice hotel, would definitely stay again. Neighbourhood felt safe to walk, even at night.

The water from te shower leaked under the showerdoor onto the floor, which is made of tiles that get really slippery if wet. I fell because of this, so some anti-slippery thing right outside of the shower would be nice. We used a towel. Also you can hear everything on the street if you sleep on the street-side of the hotel. Didn't bother us to be honest but some people might want to wear earplugs. Also it's a 25 min walk to the city, so if you decide to go to the center, just hopping back to the hotel to get something will take you some time.

The hotel is quite well located: a 20-minute walk to the historic center, with a direct evening bus that goes directly from the train station to the hotel. The room was spacious, with a private shower. The shared toilet was always clean. The staff were super friendly and offered many good recommendations of things to do in the city!

Our room was facing the main street which was quite busy and loud at night. Would recommend light sleepers to bring earplugs.

Hotel Masaccio was incredibly welcoming, with staff almost always on reception and happy to help with directions, they were kind enough to give us a map with directions to our concert venue. The rooms with painted walls and ceilings are absolutely gorgeous, we could look at these all day! We also had a balcony which was beautiful and gave you a lovely few of the hills in Florence!

The room came with a fan, the only possible improvement would be the instalment of A/C for hotter months but this did well for June!

Single room with a lovely view from the window. The bathroom was small but modern and the shower was good. The terrace looked nice, and the area is quiet but convenient. All the staff were helpful.

Unfortunately I contracted covid so had to leave early.

The staff was very friendly and easy going. Thanks to their recommendations, I was able to find lovely places to eat and drink in town. The house has a lovely tiny balcony in the reception area with a nice view on the garden.

The room I stayed in was on the top floor and very hot. There wasn't much air circulation. There was only one socket and it was not working, it damaged my charger which I discovered only a day later when I had already left the city.

Good hotel to stay on 1 night. Good location, just 20 minutes to the center of the city. The staff is wonderful, always ready to help and ask questions.

The hotel is quite noisy if you open the shutters. No air conditioning.

The facilities and the personal were great, they advice you were to go for attractions and food.

The only problem was that the wifi signal was not working and there was only 1 electrical plug in the room.

Receptionists were very nice. Every single one of them were cheerful and helping. We had heavy luggages and room we book was upstairs but they gave us a room at the main floor to not to make us carry out luggages one more floor which is very nice. They also let us leave our luggages until 4.30pm (this is what we asked for. Maybe if we asked it could be later) after check out. Room was clean. We had shampoo, soap and towels. Bed was comfortable.

This hotel is very good value for the price we paid for it. We had our private room and shower, with a shared bathroom. All facilities were kept clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful in every sense. There is a supermarket close by which was very convenient for us.

It would’ve been nice if there were a kitchen which we could use to cook our own food.
