Hotel Orto de' Medici

Excellent location we were able to walk to the majority of attractions we visited. Breakfast was great, has something for everyone. Rooms were of a great size with a wonderful shower. The front desk staff really stood out to me, they all had such wonderful, genuine customer care. Gave us great advice of where to eat. They were so friendly in every way. The staff that work at this hotel are a true asset. I really thank them for making our stay a special one.

The property is in a quieter section of Florence and is in walking distance to all of the historical sights, museums and fantastic restaurants. It is beautiful hotel that is exceptionally well maintain and spotless. The garden area and breakfast rooftop is wonderful. The staff is so pleasant, helpful and can not do enough for you. We stayed at Hotel Otto de’ Medici for 5 nights and our stay was one of the best we have ever experienced. I highly recommend Otto de’ Medici to anyone who wishes to stay in Florence.

The staff were always very friendly and professional. The breakfast was very delicious. The room very spacious and clean. I really liked that you gave 2 computers available for visitors.

I would have given an excellent rating except that the noise outside at night kept us up a lot. The bar close by with the patrons yelling and talking loud prevented us from having a good night sleep. And banging outside starting at 6:00 am wasn’t appreciated. If you book there, make sure you ask for a room not facing the road.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff and one of the best rooms we stayed in on our 3-week holiday in Italy. The breakfast was reasonable, and as always the coffee didnt disappoint. it was around an 8-10 min walk to the duomo and had lots of interesting coffee, gelato and restaurants on the way there. 5 min walk to a carrefour market for basic necessities. and Firenze is, well Firenze :-) Try out Trattoria Zaza for some really good italian pasta and seafood!

last minute booking so was a bit expy but main tourist season so, I guess its fair.

The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. You get a free welcome drink and even free popsicles! The hotel itself was very elegant and clean and situated within walking distance of many sights. I especially loved the 16th century garden and the terrace overlooking it. You could book various trips and get tickets to several places at reception (which was always minded). My room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was varied and filling.

The bathroom door opened and closed too loudly. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Hotel Orto de' Medici is such a stunning hotel but it is the history behind the hotel that really exceeded our exceptions! Such a historical hotel which is around 10 minute walk from the city centre - especially Duomo church. The check in process was easy and the receptionist helped us with our luggage for early check in so we can continue exploring Florence. The room we got was a quiet, comfortable which a lot of space for luggage. The bathroom was clean, and their bath products were amazing! I loved all their Olive Oil products :) Breakfast is a typical hotel breakfast affair but the food was fresh and the attendants were very polite and always happy to help the guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence and I can't wait to visit this hotel again.

There is nothing to complain about. This hotel was perfect.

Best room we stayed in. Very comfortable and large junior suite. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Which was a nice contrast to the wait staff of restaurants in Florence. Loved the city, not dining in the restaurants. But hotel is very close to the mercato centrale market which we chose to eat at most meals we stayed and absolutely loved.

Breakfast buffet could have been better. It was lacking in vegetables and variety. It also did not have any restaurant or room service available besides the breakfast.

The location is excellent, close to the center of town and all the main attractions. The hotel was clean, warm and the breakfast was varied, plentiful and delicious. The best feature is the staff, from reception to dining and cleaning, everyone we met was friendly and helpful, and very patient.

There was nothing about this hotel we didn't like. Real, true value for money. The room was well appointed and the bathroom was spacious. Both were cleaned on a daily basis.

This is a historic hotel with a local and slightly luxurious feel. We felt personally welcomed by Juliet, who is warm and welcoming and takes an interest in your comfort. Breakfast was excellent, with as much espresso as desired, and included local breads, eggs, tomato, cheese, and salami as well as fruit tarts.

For a hotel of this quality, the beds should be better; but the linens were very nice. The hotel is not as centrally located as we expected.

Where do we start? The minute we arrived at check in, the staff were fantastic - so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast team were great and the breakfast itself was spot on. The lovely cleaners gave extra towels and cutlery so that we could enjoy a meal one evening from the balcony. We had the additional stress of a cancelled flight so had to rebook for one more evening and the room we were allocated - alongside the kindness and helpfulness of the team - was second to none. Grazie!

Genuinely, nothing that we didn't love.
