We stayed in the Actor Suite. Loved the charming 18th century decor and elements that were from the original room/building. This gave a very different feel compared to a modern hotel. We especially loved spending time in the outdoor courtyard, had our breakfast there and also sat out there to wind down for the evening before bedtime. 5 star location! only a few minutes walk from the Duomo. And a comfortable stroll to river. Ulrike and Satya were amazing hosts, they texted me to confirm our arrival and departure timings, were there to greet us when we arrived and also sent us off when we left. They also provided useful tips on the sights to see and recommended restaurants.

Not much to dislike about the place. But one practical improvement- provision of mosquito repellent would take it up to the next level! had to kill a number of mosquitos that managed to get in probably through the front door (insect screens were intact)

We booked the Golden Suite (2 bdrm 1 bath) since we were staying 5 nights and wanted more space. Both rooms are very spacious, and the bathroom is very clean with 2 sinks, and the shower pressure is great. The bed is also very comfortable! The location is also quite nice since it’s central and walkable to all the tourist locations, but still located on a street that’s quiet at night. It’s also around the corner to a really nice restaurant. Ulrike was also a very friendly and responsive host. Overall really enjoyed the experience! Just note that there is no elevator. So if you have bulky luggage, will probably need to take it up one step at a time.

The room was plenty of space for the 3 adults travelling together. It was very clean and comfortable. Ulrike was a great host who was welcoming and helpful. Room had an electric kettle so instant coffee or tea was available. If you prefer brewed coffee there was a small shop just around the corner that was open when we went out in the mornings. Very quiet for sleeping. Close to shops, restaurants, and sights.

The fixture in the shower was not working correctly - it would not stay high on the adjustable pole which made showering trickier. Plenty of hot water though.

The location was perfect! The property is a short walking distance from all the major tourist attractions in Florence. There is also a tram station nearby that is convenient for getting to and from the airport. The suite I stayed in was quiet, tastefully decorated and is well-stocked with clean towels, shower amenities, coffee, water and a light breakfast. Our host, Ulrike, also made us feel very welcome and was very helpful and informative during our short stay. We were also able to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out.

Ulrike is a great host who made us feel very welcome and comfortable and ensured we had everything we needed. The accommodation is superbly situated within easy and quick walking distance to all the main sights in Florence, in particular the Mercato Centrale where you can find a great food hall upstairs. We had two bedrooms with one double bed and two singles which were comfortable and clean. The air conditioning worked a treat which was so welcome in the heat of the Italian summer and the tea and kettle in the room were unusual for Italy but very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Relais & Maison Grand Tour as a quiet, understated and comfortable place to stay from where you can visit Florence's sights on foot. Ulrike recommended a lovely café for breakfast just around the corner so make sure you ask her for her suggestions. Thanks Ulrike for a great stay.

The rooms were a little bit small for all four of us but that's just the price you pay for being in the heart of Florence!

Ulrike was a fabulous host. From check in to check out, she was always available to answer questions and assist us as needed. Ulrike provided great advice on our visit, including the logistics of transportation to Cinque Terre. You couldn't ask more from a host. The room and bathroom were very clean and wonderfully decorated, and the location was perfect for walking everywhere. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Wow what a kind host Ulrikke is! She cheerfully welcomed us and offerred to store our luggage since we arrived before the check-in. The hotel is in a nice street close to the Central Market and the shopping street that leads to the Duomo and the main square. There is a beautiful dreamy courtyard outside the room full with flowers. The room had such a cool atmosphere, very renaissancy italian touch. The room was very clean, with 2 beds (a huge one and another single one), big wardrobe, chairs, desk, hot pot, breakfast basket with toasts and jam. Ulrikke thanks again for such a wonderful welcome! 🌸

Ulrike is a wonderful host with great knowledge of the city. Her rooms are clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The location is perfect, close to all the sights, shops and restaurants but far away enough for a quiet night’s sleep. We loved our stay at the Relais Grand Tour and can highly recommend it, we’ll definitely return!

The location is very convenient to the heart of Florence. Loved the room- full of character, some of the original frescoes maintained in the room design. Owner was very helpful in giving recommendations to wine tours. Enjoyed the stay and highly recommend this hotel!

Nothing we didn't like. There wasn't a TV if that is important to the traveller-wasn't an issue for us

Very nice place to stay! Each room was unique in a good way. Beautiful furniture, comfortable beds. Large bathroom. Nice courtyard space downstairs to hang out with the others we were traveling with. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Close to everything.
