1. Excellent communication from the very beginning: prompt replies, attention to our requests, detailed information provided in advance so that we knew exactly what to expect. 2. Our room wasn't too big but clean, well organised, nicely decorated, and very quiet (as requested). Well, the church bells were working as alarm clock but what can one expect in the centre of Florence?! Bed was comfortable, although, perhaps, a little soft for people with serious back problems. The whole building is quite lovely with modern lift and tricky old staircases, nicely decorated, mixture of original features and new facilities. 3. Bathroom: spacious, lovely toiletries, good water pressure. Small plastic stool was a very nice detail showing that they understand the needs of elderly people. 4. There were lots of mosquitoes and flies in Florence; they were everywhere. The hotel did very well putting a small device in the rooms that prevented those pests entering and biting. 5. Last but not least, the staff! You only need to ask and they will help you with any request. Unfortunately, I remember only one name, Clemente, who happened to be on duty when we were checking-in and -out, and most of the time when we needed some help. He was superb, very professional, welcoming,.... Young lady who made us coffee each morning was lovely. Everyone else we spoke to was very nice and helpful.

The reception staff at this hotel were so welcoming and friendly and an absolute delight to deal with. Both Clemente and Piero went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite and were able to check in early to leave our bags, offered advice on attractions and directions etc and given glasses, plates and the all important 'cavatappi' to enjoy our wine and cheese in our room! The beds were really comfy and the bathroom clean and spacious with a good shower. The hotel is charming with traditional decor and the breakfast was varied and plentiful with barista made coffee included. Situated in a a great location for exploring this hotel gets 10/10 from me!

Staff was excellent. Location was amazing, central to everything. Grocery store minutes away, also McDonald's and Subway steps away for that quick bite. Fridge in room. Main train station 10-12 minutes away so great for day trips to Venice, Pisa etc. Also tram to the airport in front of the train station. The hotel is charmingly historical with all the modern updated amenities. As Florence does not have a metro, location is everything. I had a double room with a huge comfortable bed and living room area with a couch and table. Honestly, all things considered, you will not do much better than this hotel. This from a much seasoned traveler.

The location was great. The buffet breakfast was good. The rooms have a certain charm wit high wooden ceilings.

We came for a 5 night stay and we were give a small room that was dark ( there was a wall covering half of the window) on the ground floor without a dresser. We had 2 suitcases - one of which had to be kept open on the floor at all times as there was no room where to unpack.There is a big armoire in the room but does not have shelves - only 2 drawers at the bottom. I told the administrator that I was not happy with the room but he did nothing about it.

It is not the newest hotel full of charm and it is very well maintained. The location is excellent, just a couple hundreds meters from Medici Riccardi and Academia. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated with the window overlooking inner yard with big trees. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. You can have your breakfast in a wonderful inner court decorated with plants. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The breakfast is really a thing to think about for the hotel owners. Very limited choice of hot dishes with the main "star" - the driest scrambled eggs I have ever had in my life. Have no idea what they do with them. No vegetables (in summer in Italy). Constant line to the only coffee machine. It would be good if they start serving breakfast at 7 00 instead of 7 30 in summer as the city is full of tourists and many museums open at 8 15.

Great location, very short walk to main tourist attractions. Everything we needed was only a short walk away. The included breakfast was wonderful (no other hotel we stayed at in Europe had complimentary breakfast), with many options included in the spread. Always had cold water available, and gave us ice to fill our water bottles, which was nice with the 100 degree weather experienced during the heat wave. Room was good size, comfortable bed, bathroom was bigger than we expected, room stayed nice and cold with AC. Everything was clean and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful hotel.

No real complaints about stay. Unfortunately when we booked online over a month in advance, we used a credit card that they were unable to process. Upon check in, we had to pay with another card and the amount was larger than what we were expecting when we booked (not sure if it was due to exchange rate changing). Didn't affect our stay in the hotel at all, staff was apologetic about inconvenience.

Lovely friendly accomodating helpful staff. Great Italian facilities, in the centre of town in a fantastic location within walking distance of everything you could want in Florence 🥰 Yummy breakfast included which is a massive bonus. Very accomodating of us with a baby, a cot was provided, we were there during this weeks heat wave so the air-conditioning was essential, the beds were super comfortable 👌 and the room with the shutters was pitch black meaning we all had a really good sleep. Little things like this make a big impact on a family with a baby. Highly reccomend

Great location,the guys at the front desk(Clemente & Pietro) were very nice and super helpful.The room was tastefully furnished,bed comfortable ( advertised as a single but more Queen sized) the bathroom spotlessly clean.AC and mini bar.Breakfast was good with also alternatives to the usual sweet pastries.It more than exceeded my expectations!!

The room was small but as I was there to sightsee all day it might not suit someone wanting to spend more time in the room.

The location was excellent and even with my cane was able to walk to museums, shops and restaurants. Breakfast had way more options than i was expecting and was always fresh. Staff were helpful and courteous. Bed was comfy and had 4 pillows. Housekeeping staff did a great job! This boutique hotel and Florence was a real highlight for me and i would definitely go back.

Mini fridge could have been restocked more often.
