The location is perfect for a 15-20 minutes walk to/from the city centre and its attractions. The bedroom, bed, and bed-linen were all top quality, as were all the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was also well-equipped. Unobtrusive air conditioning was always available, and the fridge in the room was ideal for keeping drinks and food items cool. We had a room (Rame) at the front overlooking the street and with a balcony and slight river and city views. The 2 sets of double-glazing there was no traffic noise at all. We enjoyed a very generous cold buffet breakfast which we ate in the garden. In addition, tea, coffee, cake and snacks were always available during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and cleaned our room every day - which made it a real pleasure to return to at the end of the afternoon. They were also very welcoming towards our dog. We decided to pay the €20 per day for the private parking - we thoroughly recommend this as it is very nearby, safe, secure, under cover, clean and bright. (On-street parking would cost at least this in parking meter fees.) Finally, we needed to take our dog for the mandatory tapeworm tablet before returning to the UK, and found a super veterinary practice (Clinica Veterinaria Il Marzocco) less than 50m away on the same street - highly recommend. We would be more than happy to return to La Fonderia and would highly recommend to others.

The room was very stylish with high ceilings and muted colors and some contemporary furniture. The bathroom was also lovely. We arrived early and the lady kindly showed us to our room and explained breakfast. There was a kitchen area that guest could use in the day for a hot drink and access to sweet treats. Breakfast was a continental style buffet with ample choice and a member of staff was there to make coffee etc and answer any questions. We sat outside and had breakfast in the quiet, lush gardens. We were only at the acommodation for one-night but the road behind seemed to have lots of little bars/restaurants that we would have explored if we were there for longer. Great little place. We also asked for a taxi to be booked which was kindly done too.

I booked the smallest and cheapest room at this property - single bed with separate bathroom. It was comfortable and extremely clean, cute spiral stairs to get to the loft where the room is too which added to the charm. I am 175cm tall and I could only stand upright at the door of the room, but that didn't bother me. If you want to splurge spend the money and stay in one of the bigger rooms. They are beautiful. Well styled, chic and funky are words I would use to describe them.

The location is not ideal, a 15 min walk to the city centre. I don't mind walking but good to know for people who want to stay more centrally. Although the walk is worth it considering the standard of the rooms !

Our Host Joan was fantastic! So welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. Our room was small but perfect in every way. Had everything we needed and the bed was really comfortable and shower excellent. Nice 15 - 20min stroll into the city was ideal for us, leaving the hustle and bustle of town behind and enjoying how peaceful our accommodation was at night. Breakfast was also fabulous! Slightly different each day and loads of choice

The garden was beautiful and very well kept but word of warning.. Take lots of mosquito / bug repellent and some cream!

Extremely helpful staff, good communication and friendly. Room was a very good size and bathroom was very clean with all toiletries provided. Breakfast was tasty with a large selection of food. Location was easy for getting around with good restaurants and gelato nearby.

We were there three nights and the only thing I was suggested is that while there is Aircon it is not very strong so it was a little hot for our tastes. Also you can hear other guests in the morning for breakfast. But I would still recommend this place.

Our room looked super pretty and faced the indoor garden which is dreamy. The design is tasteful and qualitative. Breakfast is served by the place's staff who were extremely nice and hospitable.

Our room was extremely small. We travelled around Italy for 2 weeks, so our full sized troller had to block a nightstand to fit. All the other rooms seemed great in size. Also, a bit noisy as the room is next to the common area where breakfast is cooked. The smell of fried eggs wakes you up before the alarm. Location is a bit of a trek from the central area in Florence, around 20-30 mins by foot.

From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond what is required from them. They were so helpful and kind. The apartment was immaculate and beautiful and one of the best stays we have had in Italy. It really felt like home from home - even better I would say. I could not fault it, and will look forward to coming back again soon as we have fallen in love with Florence. Many Thanks for such a momentous stay, we couldn't have asked for more. Nothing, absolutely nothing!

The place is very cozy, with lovely furniture and a cute little garden. The staff is really friendly, forthcoming! The location is within a 10-15 min walk from the main station. Breakfast is great too :)

Please bear in mind that the small single room has a very low ceiling, you might not be able to stand. It’s separate bathroom is very nice, I didn’t mind it being across the hall.

This B & B was exceptionally good. The staffs were very well mannered and really cared about our comfort and requirement. Our room was a duplex which we loved! Especially our daughter had a gala time running upstairs and down time and again. This room also had 2 bathrooms! One on each floor. Which again was immensely convenient especially in the morning when everyone had to get ready together. They have a nicely maintained and very cozy terrace garden. Where you can have your breakfast and meals or just seat there to take a rest. They even kept a freshly baked pie in the kitchen as a nighttime snack for the guests. I don't have any complaints at all! I will definitely recommend it!

Everything was taken care of. But you have to howl your own luggage up and down the stairs as there is no one to help with that. If you would like to stay very near to the main attractions of Florence like Accademia, Uffizi, Cathedral etc. then it can seem a little away for you though we were able to walk across the river to reach the attractions.

Enjoyed our stay there. Perfect location. It's about a 15-20 min walk to the city center. We reserved a parking spot which is gated, safe and not too crowded. Arrived a little late and called Joan who was very helpful and helped us get situated with the parking and settled in our room. She also had breakfast ready in the mornings. She made our stay there a happy memory. The room was nice and clean and access to the outside patio/yard was a plus. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to Florence.
