Hotel Kraft

Rooms are very nice and furnished with luxurious touch. The rooms were very clean. The roof terrace is beautiful, ideal for breakfast (same everyday during our stay but large offer). Our room did not have a balcony, but the pool terrace, which is above the lightly landscaped roof terrace, made up for it. The roof terraces are ideal at any time of day - in the morning for breakfast (perfect view of the cathedral and city rooftops) as well as in the summer over the hottest afternoon hours or in the evening / at night (beautifully lit).

We prefer local hotel over the big chains. Hotel z Kraft was a nice size, charming, clean and comfortable. The roof top pool and one level below is the roof top restaurant/bar. It’s a nice feature, I wish we could have used it more. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed and the small veranda was a nice place to get some fresh air and enjoy the roof top views. The bathroom was a good size with decent water pressure. The hotel is out of the major tourist area, which we enjoyed, but its an easy walk of about 15-20 minutes to be in the thick of things. The staff was kind and helpful.

On our 8 day stay, we had breakfast once. Breakfast was very nice and in the roof top restaurant, it was not included with our room, and it was pricey in our opinion.

Hotel Kraft was a great spot for our first trip to Florence. The staff were respectful and accommodating and surprised us with a room upgrade free of charge. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean with a super comfortable bed, large bathroom, and plenty of space. One of our reasons for booking was due to the rooftop pool and bar, which we ended up using quite a bit while we were there! (Especially after a long hot day of site seeing and exploring). The pool was awesome and the views of the Florence city line were amazing.

The location was great in terms of the rooftop terrace offering views of the city skyline, but most of our walks to sites and restaurants was at least 10-15 minutes. We didn’t mind, but it’s something to consider since it ends up being a lot of walking.

I can't fault the Kraft Hotel. The start of our holiday was a bit of a disaster as we missed our flight from London and therefore arrived one day late. The train from Pisa was easy to navigate and the hotel walking distance from the station. The hotel was wonderful - welcoming, polite staff, A really nice room, 404 with a balcony. A lovely location 'far from the maddening crowd' but close enough to all the attractions. We walked along the river bank to the centre - 10 to 15mins walk, depending on how many handbag and shoe shops my better half wanted to look in. Rooftop terrace for breakfast was delightful, with really attentive, friendly staff. I didn't like the filtered coffee, but the espresso doppio was perfect. We also had dinner at the hotel and the food was really tasty and the wine even better! Thank you to everyone at Kraft Hotel for making our short holiday such a memorable one.

The hotel and rooms were lovely with a rooftop terrace with beautiful views and rooftop pool. Our room was very spacious and had a little balcony which was nice, beds were really comfortable and there was a big bathroom with shower. The rooms were spotlessly clean . It was in a quiet area with a short 15 minute walk along the river to the center. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming . Breakfast was nice.

Whilst the front desk reception staff were polite, our experience of some was not positive and some could benefit from customer service training. Service was somewhat impersonal and could have been friendlier. On checkout the reception person on duty made no effort to engage, no greeting , no smiles, no ‘how was your stay with us’ or ‘I hope you enjoyed your stay’ . In fact he didn’t even look at us ! We have stayed in hotels all over the world and it’s very important to guests to have reception staff with interpersonal skills. Also if you are on the 4th floor you can be woken early by the noise of chairs being dragged in preparation for breakfast on the floor above.

We loved the rooftop views for breakfast each morning. It's a shame the weather was so poor on our 4 night stay that we didn't eat outside once nor get to use the pool! Breakfast was excellent, a great mix of options. Room was large, clean and comfortable. We loved the covered balcony area. And great to have additional seating in the room as well as the large bed. (We had a chaise lounge each to read on!) Excellent shower pressure. Friendly and helpful staff. Happy to top up tea/coffee supplies in the room. It's about 15mins walk to the centre, we thought this was definitely worthwhile for a lovely hotel. You can walk in either side of the river. And only 10 mins walk to the train station for our trains to Lucca and to Pisa.

Nothing really! We'd happily return again. Hotels are definitely more expensive in the last 1-2yrs, but this is across the board. It was a little pricier for the superior room with balcony but worth it to have a spacious bedroom to rest in late afternoon when returning from our day trips or wanderings around Florence, especially as it was too wet to sit outside in the bar on the roof.

Delightful hotel. Not too far from most places of interest. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Lovely large bathroom. The roof terrace breakfast dining area looking over the tops of Florence landmarks was fabulous. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices of either cooked breakfast, smoked salmon, cheeses etc, fruits, eggs, pasties and delicious cakes. White linen table clothes with fresh flowers and waitress service for coffee tea etc. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious for our stay and infact was such a terrible forecast we decided to leave Italy and flew to Spain where the weather was better but a lot of Europe is having bad weather. The pool was warm and there were plenty of sun-beds. The waiting staff made sure we were supplied with drinks and nibbles. Really good staff - well trained and all smiling and exceptionally good. All the team inc Managers were excellent.

The newly installed sauna did not work. 3 of the Management came to sort it and they thought they had but unfortunately it didn’t work. We gave up in the end but I’d say this was just teething problems.

We loved the location, friendly welcome and lovely Staff, amazing to have a pool in the City, the roof top restaurant was fabulous, our stay was super relaxed because of such a lovely environment

It would have been good to have extra choices for dinner, we stayed a week with the same menu, although no complaints, we enjoyed our meals but had to repeat our choices, more attention to the pool area too would have been appreciated, it was a tight fit, but…. We always found a sun bed so again no complaints

We loved this hotel. The staff were the most friendly and helpful ever! We had an amazing recommendation for a local restaurant which literally made our stay. It is lovely and close to the train station which was very helpful for our trips to Pisa and Cinque Terre. Its also very close to the river and a very short and pleasant walk to the Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast was epic - so much choice and prosecco available for Mimosas each day! Was so full every day! When we had to leave early in the morning, they made us up a breakfast bag to take with us. We literally couldn't ask for more. The pool was lovely, the view was outstanding and the restaurant was actually fantastic too. We have every intention of returning to Florence and we will definitely come back here when we do.

The property is situated about a 10 minute walk from the center of where all the tourists go. It is a quiet charming area with good restaurants around it. The hotel is clean, artsy, and has a great rooftop restaurant and pool with beautiful views. The room was very charming as well with a modern bathroom

No fault to the hotel- there was construction going on outside my window from the city. Not sure how long it will go on
