Staff friendly and the room was very clean. The ability to sit in comfort outside was a bonus. The hotel is in a quiet upmarket area outside the busy centre and in walking distance from all the main attractions.

The hotel was a little further from the centre than anticipated but the walk into the city was a lovely walk.

This funky looking hotel is set back of a local road, on the edge of the inner part of Florence - in the San Frediano neighbourhood. It's surrounded by everything you want in an Italian neighbourhood, such as pasticceria, restaurants and cool bars, and well as a brewery. It's a short walk to the Porta San Frediano (the medieval gate) through which you find even more stuff. The room size was ample, and clean. The restaurant was excellent - we ate a bit late a couple of times and Fedele and the young chef were most acclimating and helpful. Whoever chose the music for the restaurant also had excellent taste. Overall a great experience, and we would go back again.

I don’t understand why am I being charged for the garage/parking since I am guest of the hotel? It’s 20e per night, but it’s first time I have to pay extra for parking/garage of the hotel. I would understand if it’s public parking or something, otherwise it’s not ok. Also we were being charged 14e per day for staying tax (42e in total for 3 nights)? In other cities we were charged 14e for like 10 days in total, that’s just crazy. And what’s with the smell in the hallway, it smells like toilet??

The attentive, warm and friendly staff. I had a week stay and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel and the staff very much.

The hotel and rooms are at the same time stylish, quirky and comfortable. The staff were very efficient and helpful. In terms of the breakfast the baked foods (croissant, cakes, etc.) were superb.

As is the Italian way - some of the facilities suffered from style over performance. For example, the lovely big black enamel bath took ages to fill because the tap was slow and the plug didn't fit well so water was escaping even as I was trying to fill it up. The breakfast service started about 10 minutes late which was an issue because I had to be out by 7:30.

The location was very good, easy to walk to the city, calm, cafes and bars nearby. The room was comfortably large. The interior of the hotel was interesting and beautiful

There was little problem with air in the room. When you turned off the LED lights, the air conditioner also turned off. The window could not be opened because mosquitoes came into the room. At this price range, the breakfast could have been richer.

I don t give less points because of it, but I think you have to explain to the lady, working at breakfast, what is kindness. we didn't expect special treatment, just normal. no one in a hotel has ever spoken to us in such a style. She shouts grumpily and loudly. Educational style. She didn't bring cappuccino even after several requests, because she didn't understand the room number in English and said: then she won't bring coffee and left. She also spoke to the other guests in a very bad tone. (plus size, wearing glasses). The other lady was very nice. she should meet the guests, not the grumpy lady. :(

The hotel was built in the art gallery style. The hotel is located 30-35 min by walk from the Train station. The room is big. Room is separated by zones. Comfortable bed with incorporated bar counter, area with closet in which incorporated fridge and safe, huge bathroom with window-wall. Breakfast was well served with standard hotel dishes. The city center is 25-35 min by walk from the hotel. Supermarket is located 5 min from the hotel.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the breakfast buffet was served from the staff. Even though on sunday there were many people having breakfast at the same time, the staff was excellent, quick and was able to treat everybody in perfect manner. Warm thanks to everyone. The location was a bit further away form the center than I originally thought. However the distance was walkable (and we were lucky with the weather). Another positive fact is, that the hotel is only few minutes ride by taxi to train station and bus station. (or 15-20 min walk) So if you have some days at your disposal to explore the region using Florence as a base, it would be a good choice.

We had some minor problems with the lighting in the room. However i must admit we did not inform the staff. I am sure they would have solved it promptly. However they really were only minor problems.

UNAHotel was really nice and had very attentive staff, it’s good value for money and they have some really nice rooms with great features and some really cool additions (like cool tiles with coloured lights). Breakfast was good, classic Italian hotel breakfast but there was a good number of choices so definitely something to please. Without doubt the best thing about the hotel is the location, it’s the perfect place from which to explore the city (the centre is a 15minute walk) and get it all the sights, but as it draws to evening the hotel is right near An area called Borgo, just on the south side of the river, this street is pack full of cool bars and restaurants, not much to note about it during the day but at night it comes alive, the best place to grab something to eat and bar hop, then it’s a few minutes back to the hotel.

While everything in the hotel is perfectly fine, it does feel that it needs a bit of a refresh, a bit of a paint job here and there and a few renovations and it would definitely be a 9, maybe even a 10, but still good value.
