Hotel Principe

Overall breakfast was good all the essential so sweets and salted; good location 12 minutes from the train station Santa Maria Novella and 10-15 minutes from the main attraction. Our room had a view on the river side which was amazing. The atmosphere that surrounds the building is really regal and antique which is really calm, relaxing!

The beds were decent but the biggest concern was the AC. Our room was on the top of the building and just one day (it was really sunny) it was hot and during the night make our sleep kinda difficult. We needed to open the window outside even if the external temperature wasn't that crazy

Great location. Not far from all necessary central points to visit. Not in the historic zone and is accessible by car. This hotel has its own parking on the backyard which is perfect. This hotel is quite old hotel with its history. So You will not find modern style here. However, if you would like to feel old style hotel and cozy atmosphere - you've made a right choice. Our room had enough space, high ceilings. The staff is great and very friendly. So the stay was really great and we have wonderful experience staying in Firenze. This hotel is pet friendly and this is very appreciated. The terrace view is also great.

Nothing to comment. This hotel is a hotel with its own history. You can't dislike this.

Everything about this property is elegant. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the decor, prints and rooms are exceptional. We had a room overlooking the garden and city which was great. It faced east so you don’t get the hot sun in the afternoon coming into your room, especially in summer when we were there. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room with pastries served to your table. Cereals, bread, fruit, eggs etc available as well as gluten free options. Is out of the busiest part of the city but an easy walk in. Just a footnote, the Property Management and laundry around the corner do a fantastic service, fast and folded into articles and dropped back to the hotel

Hotel Principe was a beautiful hotel right along the Arno River! I loved that we were so close to the river, but set slightly away from the center and the busy tourist area. Everything was a short walk away. Our room was beautiful and we loved our little balcony too. We especially loved the rooftop area and thought it was so gorgeous, with amazing views, way better and of course less crowded than a rooftop bar would be. The courtyard area was beautiful too. I really liked this hotel and would definitely stay again when we return to Florence!

The breakfast was delicious, but it was a bit confusing. Other than, everything was great and we loved our stay!

Upon arriving at the hotel, the room was stunning. True royal experience! The staff gave us a tour of the premises and a brief history of the hotels' origin. The room was huge and super comfortable. Thankfully the windows were soundproof as there was bar on the other side of the river with extremely loud music (perfect for young, hip people wanting a good party) The breakfast was exceptional, please keep an eye on the majestic art on the ceilings of each room. We ate breakfast in the back garden which was a super peaceful space perfect for couples and for families.

No particular dislikes. The parking facilities were excellent however we were unable to keep the car parked there for the full duration of our stay due to other visitors arriving and lack of spaces.

Architecture of hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Room had an amazing view with balcony and staff went above and beyond to please. Location was central yet quiet.

Room was on top floor and very hot, ac did not cool down enough and we had ants coming in from balcony. This room was not 4 star worthy. However the third night the hotel upgraded us to a junior suite and this room was big, beautiful and cleaner. Despite the first 2 nights, we would definitely return here in same room as the last night.

Perfect location, the staff was very personable and accommodating, and the hotel was kept clean. The view was remarkable and the included breakfast was very nice.

It was quite warm in the room and the A/C didn't seem to do much of anything. We had to keep the window open at night to stay cool. The window doesn't have a screen and there's a bright light just outside the window that attracts bugs to the room. The traffic is also quite loud so earplugs were definitely necessary to sleep. Rather than a king size bed, it's two full-size beds pushed together and they do separate just a bit to make it slightly uncomfortable. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, we just had to make some accommodations for ourselves to make it work.

Fantastic breakfast with lots of options—croissants (regular, chocolate, pistachio), fresh fruit and vegetables, hard boiled eggs, chocolate cake, breads and crackers with hams, salamis and Swiss cheese. Various fresh juices.

Internet connectivity was a bit spotty. Would go out randomly, usually only for short periods. Wasn’t a big issue for us, but if someone was staying here while on business or planned on needing to use the internet a lot while there, this may not be the place for you.

Location is the best, we had a room with the river view and this was the highlight of our trip, every morning and every sunset. It’s the best view of the city! And fresh air, city can be smelly. Also close to the river means easy access to the other side of the city, with has the best restaurants.

Hotel is nice and charming, nice sitting rooms, spacious rooms, comfy beds, coffee machine to have your morning coffee good! it’s florentine style all in. This is hotel is a small hotel, with a family feel. You have to look past things and enjoy the view and location! Good breakfast, typical italian spread- fresh croissants, good choices for all sort of yogurts, granola, and you ask for eggs, fruits.. If I could recommend is to add some sort of higher shelves in the bathroom to put things on, and minimum glass wear in the room - wine glasses, spoons, sausers. As said italian experience, so you just ask.. All on we lived our stay, embraced the culture and would definitely recommend!

The breakfast was OK. Didn't start until 8 so wasn't able to have it the first few days since I had tours booked and had to leave before 8. Location was nice. Luckily I had a room with a balcony overlooking the river. I wish it was a bit closer to main sites but overall was happy with the location, plenty of restaurants nearby.
