The b&b is lovely, our room on the ground floor was charming, it has a small table with two chairs outside which was very nice for breakfast. Our host was wonderful, very accommodating, friendly and kind. The location is quite close to the city walls, it took us about 15 minutes walking to come to the Saint Donato port. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you :-)

The courtyard is quite small and busy, but it also has a homey atmosphere. The free parking is in a one minute walk from the property, but it was quite difficult to park the car in front of the villa to unload the luggage, though the street is not busy, so we managed. Overall it was a good stay!

Anna was very kind and received us very well. Checkin and checkout were smooth. Anna kindly allow us to let our luggage during the day after checkout what was really convenient. Room is comfortable, bathroom is big, the place is cozy and cute. It is around 10-15 min walking from city center - so possible to go and come back easily. Breakfast was good, one of the best ones I had in Italy so far - juice, cappuccino, fruits, croissant (I would only maybe add eggs ;-P) I would recommend and come back at this place! Thank you!

Parking - parking in Italian cities are generally difficult and paid. That one is for free which is good. Just writing here to let clear that is on the street, in front of a school. The place looked safe, it is allowed to park and it is free. But is not private. 2min walking from the hotel. Pillows - pillow was to high for me. Normally I prefer them low.

Out of all the hotels we've stayed in this trip to Italy this was by far our favorite place. Anna could not have been more welcoming, professional or kinder. We absolutely loved our night at Il Villino on New Years eve -- it will be unforgettable. The room was meticulously clean and the beds were super comfortable. Wonderful bathroom with lots of hot water and pressure. Parking was available very close by. Absolutely loved the creative eclectic decor. There is a lovely garden to sit outside in. There was a perfectly made roaring fire in the sitting area fireplace on New Years eve to which they invited us to join them for delicious Armenian food after midnight cooked by Anna's lovely mother. Anna makes a great cup of cappuccino in the morning. She was the perfect host and her family and friends were some of the nicest people we've met in Italy (or the USA). We wish our stay was longer. We look forward to returning to Lucca and seeing her and her family again very soon. We'll be recommending Il Villino to anyone we know heading to Lucca. Thanks and all the best in 2023, Anna!!

Super nice owner, it felt all very familial. Got immediate help for everything i needed, and good recommendations for what to do in the city, or where to get good food for a fair price. The breakfast was very nice, lots of fresh fruits, which i value a lot, and the usual other stuff to get a good start in the morning. You were able to reach the city-center in a 5 min walk, and there was a nice restaurant, bakery and ice cream shop right around the corner of the hostel. Altogether i really enjoyed my stay, and was probably the best place i stayed on my trip through italy. Ended up booking an extra night cause i really enjoyed it there

I stayed in the dorm area strictly by mistake, but it turned out to be very nice. I met two long term friends and fellow travelers. Management did try to assist in upgrading my room but I declined, trusting my initial decision, which turned out to be correct. Also, an easy walk to public transportation and the city center.

Very cozy guesthouse in walking distance to the city center of Lucca. The breakfast was great, with even the possibility to have cappuccinos and everything else you might need for a good breakfast.

The host advised us against parking right next to the guesthouse itself. This is however not a big deal since, as she suggested, there is plenty of free public parking space one road further away from the guesthouse,

It had a lovely homely feel to it. The room was very spacious with a huge bathroom. There was also a lovely terrace on the as MB E floor as my bedroom to sit and relax in the very hot outside.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.

Beautiful accomodation run by a lovely family who were very helpful and accomodating. Great facilities and a comfortable bed! A short 15/20 minute walk to the city centre where there are no shortage of restaurants. We highly enjoyed our stay!

we originally booked another hotel in town but we arrived late and it was in a very remote place next to a graveyard, so we booked this guest house instead at short notice. we planned to stay 1 night but we extended another night as it was a pretty nice town to check out. the service was amazing, room was spacious and clean. we did laundry and it was neatly pressed and folded within a couple of hours

A bit loud We have had a room downstairs and beside the entrance and living room. So we could not sleep well-people did check in check out, early breakfast, or smoking in the garden..we could smell it.
