Hotel Minerva

Lots of hotels in Italy are airbnb type, so there are no front desk area. The staff resides only at check in. some charge extra if you are checking out of their time frame. Also we have to deal with three keys, building, interior, room. some keys are notvworking smoothly. What I like this hotel is it is ‘real’ hotel, 24 hours staff is at the front desk. You can leave the luggage after check out,too. Great location with metro and tram. This hotel includes good breakfast,too. Staffs are not super friendly, but I feel they do their job well and they are working hard.

The building is very old. It needs to repaint the room at least. But the room is clean.

This hotel is about a 20 min walk to the Cathedral, so it's a little out of the way of the main attractions, but it is close to the Naviglio area, which is fantastic for restaurants and nightlife. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the courtyard, as the outside rooms face a tram interchange and is very noisy if you want to have the window open. Sheets are clean, the air con works and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also decent and fresh.

I had forgotten how small the European bathrooms were. The shower had some mold in the grout and the shower head had a lot of crusting on it, so that was a minus, but overall the cleanliness of the room was good.

The location was convenient for grabbing something for lunch or dinner (Darsena area). Close to the Subway (M2) to get access to the train station and different places. The breakfast was good and with different choices. The staff was always willing to help.

Since I travelled alone, I had a single bedroom and it was slightly small (but still ok). Not as modern as other places (but still worthy in the budget). Quite alive area so it can be annoying if you are sensitive with noises (not my case).

Good hotel, nice location and excellent personnel, polite and helpful. A bit expensive place if you travel alone but good price if you share it for two. Many restorants and cafes around. Lively, but quite neighborhood.

The hotel is in an exceptional location, to get around by metro or by foot. All staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The breakfast was awesome, and the whole premises was incredibly clean. Complete value for money all around. I hope to visit again very soon!

The free wifi was choppy and it may get a bit noisy at night, but if you close the balcony doors it's fine.

The Location is perfectly in between the city centre and the canal area navigli, especially for people who mainly visit Milan as tourists. For us young people: coming home from a night out is no problem, the staff is very aware and open the door quickly. (The door is closed during the night hours) Additionally: I’ve booked the room the day i checked in, very smooth and fast service at the reception.

Friendly staff, great location for nearby canals, restaurants and bars, as well as 100m from tram, rail and metro.

Like a lot of Italian hotels, this hotel is not bright and shiny like modern hotels, Hilton etc, however that is somewhat the charm of it, in being a real Italian hotel and not just another generic stay.

Close to Navigli. Good staff and fair for the price. Pretty breakfast is a bonus.

Shower cabine is too small. A small fridge would be great. Should be cleaned more properly but totally it was good.

First of all I really liked the hotel's location. It is perfect, I could say in the best part of the city.
