Dharma Luxury Hotel

We stayed in a standard room the first segment of our stay in Rome and did the Royal Wellness Suite the last segment of our stay in Rome, and it was magical! It has a large walk in Steam Shower with a bench, a spa tub and a large balcony. - Hands down, the staff really makes the stay a 5 star experience! They are wonderful, fast, helpful, friendly & eager to help. - The rooms are modern and bright. - The Restaurant is just next door and their staff is also lovely. - The Breakfast included is extensive with something for everyone. I already miss my morning cappuccinos :).

My only negative is the spa tub, the water comes out so slow that we had to have someone come up to check to see if it was broken. It took almost 40 minutes to fill. Also, when we first ran it, dried rose pedals started coming out, that was odd. BUT! On our last night in Rome we sat in the tub for hours drinking good wine, watching Christmas movies on Netflix, wonderful memories. :)

The staff was exceptional. Andrea and the other front desk clerk (his name starts with an F) were very professional. Our bags were delayed during our stay but both of them went out of their way to track them down. The restaurant next door was very good and the prices were affordable. You even get 10% off if you're staying at the Dharma. Our room was exactly like the one pictured on the site. Room service was quick, efficient and fresh. Although we only spent a couple of nights in Rome, we will definitely return to both Rome and the Dharma Luxury Hotel.

There was nothing that I didn't like about our stay!

I had a very stressful situation whereby our plane tickets were cancelled and we were not informed until 9 hours before our departure. Therefore we had missed our opportunity for free cancellation with the hotel (and other activities booked in Rome). After speaking with Andrea he kindly waived this for our family which relieved a lot of my distress about losing money and also missing out on our family trip. So I’m very grateful and will definitely booking this hotel when I return to Rome.

We booked a standard room for the first part of our stay and the room was unexpectedly very small but manageable (MY FAULT, I did not convert square meters to square feet so it caught me by surprise), oddly the bathroom was big but the shower was awkward with two glass doors that meet in the corner so water seemed to get everywhere. SIDENOTE 1: I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again, but I would get the bigger room. We did the Royal Wellness Suite the last part of our stay in Rome and it was magical! SIDENOTE 2: They have an odd set up where they share the building with other hotel, some floors are all theirs, some they are split with another hotel and an Airbnb. From what I understand there are many hotel like this in Rome.

Room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. Breakfast was served in the next door restaurant (part of the same group). Choice was fine for me (cereals, cold meats, cheeses, bread/cakes and fresh fruit); also a couple of hot items (bacon, eggs only - some guests might like a wider selection). Location was convenient for my needs, with many of the most popular tourist attractions within 15-20 minutes walk. What really made this hotel one that I would choose to go back to were the staff - they were superb in every way. Excellent service, always with a smile, and ready to provide any assistance they could. A brief example was when I asked the front desk for help reserving a table for dinner at my choice of restaurant: when this turned out to be fully booked, he was able to recommend and book a fantastic alternative at very short notice.

Space for storing clothing was very limited and there was no chair. I doubt that the air-conditioning in my room was working properly - temperature certainly didn't feel like what I had selected. But these were minor issues for me - I was travelling light and didn't need much space, and was out most of the time anyway.

All the team were very pleasant and attentive. Always on hand to help. The location was great and a short walk from the train station and 15 minutes to the main attractions. The restaurant Cotto was very good with great food and generous portions. The room was good with great facilities such as wifi, clean bathroom and complimentary bottles of water.

The views from the balcony overlooked the fire escapes but i completely understand that not every room can have a view. This by no means spoilt our stay as most of the time, we were sightseeing so hardly in the room at all

The hotel was in a great location. only a few minutes walk to both the bus station and the metro. we were also within walking distance of some lovely restaurants and the currency exchange was only across the road, with a. local shop also across the road for when you wanted bottled drinks on the go. All the hotel staff were absolutely amazing especially Andrea and Daniele. Everyone was always very friendly, helpful and tentative. We were lucky enough to be offered a room upgrade to the Royal Suite on arrival as we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and only had an option to book one room type when we booked. The room was amazing. but had a separate living room/ dining area to the bedroom which had a hot tub behind a partition wall, a spa shower and separate toilet. the beds were comfy and we welcomed the air con in the summer and the use of the mini fridge to keep the drinks cool.

The rooms are large and beautiful. The staff was amazing. The staff set up some of our tours and got us a cab within minutes. They gave us maps and explained what we would be walking past for some history. We had a slight problem with our room and they were very attentive on fixing the problem immediately and treated us to a bottle of Prosecco with dinner. The restaurant that is attached has the best service by far the food was amazing. The wait staff Phillipo and manager Bledi were amazing. They became friends within the first few minutes of service. We left before the restaurant was open for our complementary breakfast and they had a goodie bag for us to take with us.

Very modern rooms... Staff are amazingly helpful and go out of their way to go the extra mile. I had a travel mishap (everyone's nightmare). I lost my cell phone attached to my wallet w credit cards, 200EUs, identity, in St. Peter's Square @ the Vatican. The good news is it was found by a beautiful Christian woman and her husband who tracked me and I was able to pick it up the next day. The staff helped me so much to use their own cell phones; speak Spanish to the finder of my phone from Argentina; arrange taxi for me to pick it up; and offer general moral support. This seemed beyond the call of duty. The front desk staff are all really worth a bonus raise as they go beyond the basics all the time.

slightly better orientation to the room would be helpful as per things that seem simple once you use them once, such as the A/C; switches, various doors, etc.

The location is right near the train station, which gets you to all of the best sites in Rome. The staff was also very accommodating in helping us learn the layout of the city and how to use the train. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, but some of the food wasn't the best (the scrambled eggs were definitely undercooked and the charcuterie options were a little strange for breakfast, but that might be a cultural thing).

It was challenging to get our bags into our room because while there was an elevator, there were several marble steps on our floor that led to our room, and it was challenging to get our bags up and down those steps. The shower in the room had an issue with the drain where the water would pool while showering but would eventually drain once you stopped running the water.
