iQ Hotel Roma

The property was clean and well maintained. Unlike most hotels since COVID-19 the rooms are cleaned everyday and beds are made. the front end staff was helpful and friendly. The housekeeping and maintenance staff did a great job.

Unfortunately, Rome is a dirty with litter, beverage containers strewn about. Rome also in has a lot of homelessness and people sleeping on the streets near the hotel. However, the hotel has no control of the lack of city services or social ills. We never felt unsafe or afraid at anytime unlike Chicago.

This is our second time staying at IQ Roma. We traveled as a family of 5 so we had two rooms (a triple and double). I love this hotel so much. Its in a great location (easy to walk to sights) and is quiet and clean. The only downfall was that the beds and room temperature were so comfortable that we slept in until 9:30 am nearly everyday :). We did not eat at the restaurant on the top floor (where the breakfast used to be) but did have a bottle of wine and an appetizer the first night we got there. The wine and cocktails were good but the appetizer was just ok. (I don't think the restaurant is part of the hotel as we couldn't charge our bill to the room). The breakfast was as amazing as I remember. A great variety of delicious food and reasonably priced. It was a nice was a great way to start the day with lots of fresh options. The staff was wonderful and aided us in getting taxis and private cars for trips to the airport. My youngest also enjoyed the rooftop hot tub after a long day of walking. We originally had booked a much more expensive hotel down the street as IQ did not have availability, about 3 months prior. They charged extra for everything (use of the hot tub) and you had to make reservations for drinks and a breakfast time. I kept checking booking.com for cancellations at IQ and luckily about a week before our trip, two rooms became available and I immediately switched bookings. So glad I did!

Location - hardly 5 min from the Roma Termini, but still away from all the noise and traffic. Perfect to walk around to key visitor locations or near to the travel facilities. Many good restaurants at doorstep giving you variety of choice. Some classy ones to family owned to even McDonalds'. Plenty of choice. Pharmacies are also nearby in case of any medication needs. Room - Very comfortable, secure. Especially after long day out walking last thing you want is uncomfortable room and bed. Décor is modern, stylish but focus on comfort and practicality. Loved it Professionalism - Be it the front desk, room service, catering staff in the breakfast room, all were very welcoming and professional Comfort - the hotel overall is very comfortable and caters for vast variety of traveller types. Very well thought design, really liked it. Security - There was not a single point when we had to think of security, especially at night and travelling with kids. Unlimited Breakfast - this was included in our package so we enjoyed. Variety of pastries, scrambled eggs, fried/boiled eggs, different breads, variety of cheese, cold meat, and a lot more. Due to covid they have staff serving it, that's the only difference. added bonus - Shower facility if you arrive late or early - Vending machines for quick snack or some emergency stuff Overall, worth every penny

There is really nothing tbh. Unfortunately their restaurant service is closed due to covid i guess but that didn't matter much.

everything! the check in was very fast, ironing board and iron got straight after me when i asked it at reception. the room was great, with everything i needed, more than 2 litres of water, some snacks. the bathroom had everything, the shower worked perfect. breakfast was amazing. hotel is near the opera, literally few steps from the hotel, which was a focal point for me as I was attending the opera and was wearing heels. in walking distance to many attractions.

tea kettle didnt work, the shower hanger was impossible to fix to my proportions. but these are minor concerns as in general i was absolutely satisfied

The hotel is centrally located, contemporary in style, good breakfast, even better rooftop restaurant. The staff was the real difference though. Before we arrived, Guiseppe assisted us with airport transportation and other requests, including mailing something I left behind. Gioraano and Emilio assisted us upon arrival and every morning I had questions. Emilio and Veronika would assist us in the afternoons. Zaldy helped us at the convenient laundry room and our cleaning person was kind and thorough. This is a must stay!

It was super easy to unload our bug luggages in front of the IQ Hotel. Staff member helped to carry all that to our room. Diego, the manager went out of his way to make sure we were having the best service, made us a coffee with his machine cause the vending machine was out of order. We got a little surprise sent to our room also, awesome attention from Diego and everyone at the desk. The breakfast was amazing! The ladies in charge of the restaurant make sure everything is stack up, clean, welcome you, very nice spot, nice variety. Our teenager used the gym everyday, it's small but mighty. Walking distance to the Trevi fountain and there's shops and restaurants everywhere. Over all great stay!

An espresso machine in the room would've been great! It's a detail really :)

Everything was perfect ,clean perfect breakfast and you will find whatever you need in the room.

Nothing

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from the main train station and metro. This is really handy if you are travelling onward from Rome or just getting on the Metro to spend the day within Rome. There is a Carrefour supermarket right next door, as well as many lovely restaurants nearby. It is also within walking distance to the features of ancient Rome such as the Coliseum (20-25 minutes or 2 metro stops).

We didn't try the breakfast as there are many little cafes and supermarkets nearby so couldn't comment on this aspect.

The breakfast was very good and diverse. The location of the hotel is good, near Opera. We walked to Colosseum or Fontana di Trevi (no more than 15 minutes walking to both places). There is a direct bus (number 64) going to Vatican. The station is 3 min away from the hotel. There is a Carrefour Express near. There are restaurants.
