Grand Hotel Tiberio

The room was OK, a little bit older furniture. The room was clean. The stuff was proffesional (10/10). Location is OK (we were using metro, the nearest metro station is called Cipro, 15-20 minutes of walking). To get the Vatican city, we needed 30 minutes of walking. Free parking is perfect (you must leave your key on the reception - ?!)

Breakfast - maybe much more several options would be great (fruit tea, fresh fruit, healthy cereals and nuts...) But it was OK.

Location - easily reach by train(with transshipment at Trastevere station) from Fiumicino airport(FCO), ticket = 8 euro per person till Appiano Proba Petronia station that is 150 meters from the hotel from one exit & ~ 300 meters from another exit. Cipro Metro station is at the distance about 1.2 km from the hotel. Our room was on 5th floor, quiet enough we haven't experienced any discomfort of noise from the corridor or other rooms. Good quality and daily cleaning with fulfillment of the bathroom cosmetics(shower gel and shampoo) and towels. Good breakfast, despite the only warm dishes like eggs(omelets and beacon), there were plenty of bakery - croissants with different fillings, pies, etc. Also available fruits, milk, yogurts. Coffee has not impressed us it`s served by an automatic machine, where from could get hot water for tea(a few options of black and fruit). Interesting exposition of the Vespa mopeds in the very large hall of the hotel. 2 lifts available, but mostly was running only one.

Extension of the variety warm dishes for the breakfast. Hair dryer that is incorporated in the bathroom was not good enough, thus my wife requested the appropriate functional one from the reception.

Great location, close to the REG train and the Vatican. Staff was very helpful. Christmas Dinner at the hotel was exactly what we needed and we are thankful to the staff who was there that night to serve us.

Walls are very thin and so you can hear everything from the next room. This kid had food poisoning one night and I could hear him puking his guts out. Bot very pleasant. Also, when we areived we were told there are 1 bottles of water in the fridge, compliments from the hotel. There was one bottle in the fridge ( half full) so im guessing they never replenished the fridge from whoever stayed there before us. A little disappointing especially when you arrive after a long trip, last thing you need is go get water. So for that I will not give it an "excellent". Its the little details that count.

The hotel was spotless, very clean. Staff very professional. Room had everything you would need during a stay. Super clean linen and bath supplies. Room size is great and we could open the window for some fresh air. Breakfast was good, not amazing but good. Played billiard in the evening with a bottle of wine :)

The location. It was a little bit far from city center and although I love walking, my family did not that much so we had to use taxis frequently. Train terminus (Aurelia) is far also, had to walk one hell of a steep walk in a park loaded with luggage. One time during a late breakfast a male waiter seemed to be in quite the hurry and almost took my plate with food away. He said that they need to clean the breakfast area.

The room was fairly spacious. The breakfast was fine, they had a coffee machine and a barista (don't bother using the machine it's horrible). The bath was okay. The free parking zone really helped to just park and forget our car for the stay. Reception was good, gave us map and instructiona.

My only problem which is not that small and needs to be examined before booking is the location. The surroundings aren't that pretty and the sidewalks are full of trash, if you are okay with seeing the less prettier side of Rome at least twice a day (if you are heading for the center) and don't mind walking 20 minutes to the closest train station and then take a 10 minutes ride to the center then it should'nt be a problem.

Location gave easy access to sites - wonderful breakfast each morning, with lots of options - the room was delightful - staff were friendly and helpful - great lobby for relaxing before and after a big day touring Rome - they went over-and-above helping me set up the room with flowers and treats as a surprise for my wife on our 50th wedding anniversary.

Having to put a key in the wall to have lights was a bit of a pain - the AC didn't cool very well at night - refrigerator didn't get cold and the woodwork around it got hot.

We are so glad we found The Grand Hotel Tiberio! The location was perfect: train stop 2min walk from the hotel, 15min walk to the Vatican and there are a number of lovely restaurants/bars in the area. We loved that we were away from the busy/touristy part of Rome and fully enjoyed the pool area and complimentary breakfast! The staff were lovely, the rooms were very big and clean - the only down side was the AC (air conditioning) wasn't very cold. But overall it was a great stay and we would love to book again!

I wouldn’t want to be there if I wanted to see the el sights of Rome but it suited us for a visit to family. The hotel is well appointed and has parking off road. Very clean and pleasant including the public rooms.

Breakfast was poor. Horrible coffee and dull food though plenty of it. I was puzzled by the bill since the maximum price chargeable on an official notice in the room itself was considerably less than what we paid. I asked for an explanation and was told it was ‘dynamic pricing‘.

A high-class hotel that gives good value for the price. Spacious rooms, varied breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant - although a bit expensive. Staff provided excellent service. In terms of location, it is very suitable for those interested in visiting the Vatican and Castelo Sant'Angelo.
