Everything was FANTASTIC! Many beautiful and positive things can be mentioned, but only a few are: Great breakfast. Friendly staff at breakfast. Friendly, fair and professional staff at the Reception. Extremely clean rooms, bed linen changed every day! The location of the hotel is extremely good - all metro and bus lines are about 100-200 meters from the hotel, and thus there is a connection with the whole city, especially for visits to the Vatican and/or the Vatican Museums, Castel Sant' Angelo, Trestevere quarter, etc. You can even go on foot. Possibility to have a very tasty and, if desired, lunch and/or dinner as part of half or full board. Fantastic separate area for smokers in the garden of the hotel. All the information needed for a tour of the city are provided by the friendly staff at the hotel reception. The refund of the deposit against damage to the room is the same day after check-out from the hotel. Possibility of organized and reserved transportation to and from the airport. by reserving the hotel, You get a luxurious and private transport from the airport to the hotel, etc., etc. fantastic Hotel Ottaviano Augusto! It should be a 4 stars (****) hotel! We highly recommend staying in this Hotel!!

Nice neighbourhood near the Vatican. Good breakfast with great variety.

Shower a tight fit. Toilet very high off the ground.

The hotel is very nice: close to the Vatican Museum (600-700m) and Ottaviano Station, in a quiet street. In general it is very quiet and sleep quality is very good. Wi-Fi is strong. Breakfast starts at 7 am and has excellent coffee (espresso, cappuccino, macchiato etc.) and a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff are very helpful and friendly: it was my mother’s birthday and we were presented with a bottle of wine (it was very nice); at check-out we got complimentary bottles of water. There are several nice restaurants around including Antico Falcone and Gli Esploratori. Definitely recommend this hotel to every one.

The breakfast was very good. We liked the food variety and the fact that there was always something to choose from each morning. Although it could get boring after a few days as they did not change the food options. The staff was very nice and helpful. The receptionist didn't mind giving me his pen to use with the map they provide.

The only negative is the fact that it was fairly dusty in the room. It settled very quickly and sometimes covered our belongings in a thin layer of dust. We didn't open the windows so it must have been from the A/C. But the housekeeping mopped the floor everyday so that remedied the problem to some degree.

We stayed at Hotel Ottaviano hotel for 5 days in March 2023. The room was spacious enough for three people. The breakfast had plenty of options. Also, their dinner menu, while not extremely varied, was super good. I would recommend it if you end up too early back to the hotel and you don't feel like going out again for dinner.

Quite an exceptional case for us, but we had to move room because of an issue with the room. The staff was super friendly and allowed us to return to the room and collect some of our forgotten things. However, we would have appreciated being told a bit earlier that we have to move our things.

Quite close to the Vatican and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was very nice also. Found some dust in certain areas of the room but nothing major. Overall it's a nice place to stay and quite affordable, and the staff are always available to help with whatever you need.

Bit far from Rome city centre, but there are bus and underground stops just around the corner so it's all pretty accessible, except when the city council decides to do maintenance work and close down the underground 😅.. but not the hotel's fault.

Excellent breakfast with variety to choose from; good location, quite close to Vatican city and not far from other main attractions if you enjoy walking. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, lovely and kind ladies at the breakfast service. Bed was super comfy with room having everything one could need for a week's stay. (Surprisingly it had even an iron and board that other 3* hotels don't have in Italy) Fair price against the quality and location.

Only concern is the room locker, I would prefer to have another manual one from the inside of the room apart from the existing that is connected to room card.

If you want to stay in close proximity to Vatican City this hotel is a very good alternative for that - however one has to understand that fulfilling this desire one has to be ready to do what a tourist in Rome does: walk. There is public transport bus stops few blocks away but in order to catch Metro you have to be prepared to walk some 10-15 mins. But one has to notice that "everything" (referring to main tourist attractions) is relatively "close" in Rome: for example to walk to Colosseum from the hotel can be done in 1h 30mins (which means in fact across entire main area of interest). This hotel is a gem if you're going to visit Vatican museums: there is almost a direct street to the entrance which is located just 6 blocks away. The entrance to this hotel is located in a surprising corner: it is next to a church entrance. The overall impression of the facility is a bit worn out but everthing necessary is running without any problem: so if you're not expecting anything fancy but functional this might be a choice for you. As mentioned in other reviews also, the shower area is really small although the toilet is in normal size. It is also fair to admit that the soundproofing is not the best one may meet at hotels. The breakfast is mediocre in quality but adequate in quantity (there could be some more hot items available). I'm sure I will return. One tip: if you're going to stay in Vatican City are there is no point to travel thru Termini from the airport because there is a direct busline running from Fiumicino thru Vatican City to Termini.

Quality of the breakfast (yes, I know that in Italy the concept of breakfast does vary from "american" or "continental" and have had much worse breakfasts in Italy as well).

The hotel is pretty close to the Vatican, it only takes about 15 min of walking to get there. Its rooms are amazing with high ceilings, so they don’t feel stuffy at all and they are very clean. The breakfast is also pretty good with both salty & sweet options. The best part is the staff; they are absolutely wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. They were so helpful in every situation; from the receptionists to the kitchen workers & I especially appreciate them helping me organise a birthday surprise. Will definitely come back!

Hotel located not far from Vaticano, which is nice. The room included all necessary things (coffee table, TV, small fridge, etc). Bathroom looks new and big. Breakfast was good too. Internet worked. Nice hotel in general. We had cleaning everyday without any ask or reminder. It was nice.

Place for breakfast in basement is not very pleasant. Generally room interior looks old fashioned and would be nice to refresh. Also the hotel is not very close to Metro, if you travel without car it can take around 15-20 minutes walk. Also the kettle did not work in our room. But we did not complain to reception, so its just our gap.
