Hotel Bolivar

This hotel is fantastic and in such a central location to everything - only about a 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain and also the Colosseum which was perfect for us as we were doing lots of sightseeing! Peter on the front desk was absolutely amazing to us, he was so welcoming and also provided us with a fantastic dinner recommendation close by. Hotel arranged an airport transfer for us which made everything go really smoothly. We couldn’t of asked for anything better would absolutely return here 😊

Not much to say here! We enjoyed our breakfast on the rooftop as it was beautiful hot weather, however this was also an area for smokers which wasn’t ideal when eating breakfast.

The hotel is very good located, you can reach every attraction by foot. The staff of the hotel is extremely friendly. The view from the breakfast room is fantastic but the breakfast is not more than ‚ok‘. We are used to much better breakfasts in Italy. But this is just a little negative point. Everything else was really perfect. In general, I can recommend this hotel. We were 2 adults and 2 children.

In our room you could hear everything what was happening on the floor. All the guests who were coming back from town (sometimes at 23:00) were very loud. We heard them all speaking and laughing very loud. We were at the ground floor. Next time we would choose the 1st or 2nd floor.

Location was awesome for seeing central sights. The room was basic but clean and stocked with expected amenities. Staff was very friendly and super helpful! I left my iPad in the room and only discovered it after we were on the train back to Venice. I called the hotel, and the staff found my device and held on to it securely until I could arrange to have it shipped to my home once I reached back to the states. They packaged it up and everything! We asked for a double room with 2 single beds and were given a single queen bed, so we had to share a bed unexpectedly, but it all worked out fine since we were only staying one night. The only other thing I can add is that the pillows were a bit flat for our taste, but the room had a spare pillow in the wardrobe, so we were able to accommodate!

All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel was very clean and the air conditioning was great. The room was bigger than I had expected in Rome. There is a roof top balcony to enjoy afternoon drinks with a range of outdoor furniture. We thought that the location was great as we could walk to all landmarks.

The staff was so nice and outgoing, and the ladies at breakfast and the cleaning crew were so kind and enjoyable. The location of this hotel is perfect for Rome, you are within walking distance of everything.

This was extremely expensive, I realize we booked very late, however, this price seemed crazy. Although to be fair, every other hotel in the same quality was expensive.

Breakfast was good and the location excellent.

In 40 years of travelling extensively we were very surprised not to have a coffee and tea making facility in our room. It's a 4 star rating we've never not had that facility.

A small and charming hotel conveniently located in central Rome. This was our second time visiting Rome and, in terms of value, the Hotel Bolivar is excellent in every respect.

The breakfast isn't great and, as the hotel is so small, it doesn't offer many amenities.

Helpful, great front desk people! Positive maids also. Even the breakfast servers were nice!

1. Noise on side of property at night from people on the street there. 2. Ceiling above Unit 220 appears to have constantly running water during the night; recommend a plumber check it.

LOCATION!!!! Best location, walking diatance to many spots that you have to visit. Also in a block of distance you have restaurants (one small local in front of hotel) and a gelateria

Breakfast, it is served until 10 am but when they run out of something in the last hour it wont come back, no replenish. Even some guests get to breakfast 10 min before deadline and no options to eat. Staff in charge stopped being nice during that moment

The location is very good, close to all main sightseeing places. Also there are good bus connections to Vatican near the hotel. The breakfast is very tasty and varied - bread, pastry, juices, coffee, cereals, all is good! The room was very clean. It had good air conditioning and new showers. The bed is very comfortable, good back support. The Hotel accepted our request and changed the bed in the room to a mattress - thank you. Almost all of the employees were very nice, especially the ladies in breakfast room.

Rooms noise isolation is not ideal, we were able to hear our neighbors. Luckily, everyone were quiet. One employee had a bad attitude and did not help us when we requested help with bringing our bags to the room. I must say that it was only one person and the rest were really nice! Also, the hotel is located on hilltop, after a long day it might be a bit hard to go back up. There are two stairs in the entrance of the hotel without a ramp, which is not convenient for baby strollers and disabled people.
