This little hotel is a real gem Tucked away in a small alleyway ,its location is perfect -being within a short walking distance from all the major attractions, surrounded by restaurants and cafes and bus stop to the termini. Very little noise from outside or other guests The staff are most friendly , knowledgeable and professional.communication was excellent and instructions for arriving after reception closed were clear Breakfast, served in the reception area is delicious, plentiful and varied every day with home made items . The room was large for a city centre, bed very comfortable and linen changed every 2 days

Don’t be put off by the alleyway to reach the hotel. Though narrow and dark it felt very safe and access through the main door was secure and rapid

Everything was excellent! Fabulous location within walking distance of most of the main attractions. Easy to get to on public transport. Rowena was so helpful and kind and the extra little things make all the difference ; she provided a map which she explained and helped us orient ourselves, a list of restaurant recommendations and was welcoming and helpful. We had a really comfortable bed, lovely room, and a great breakfast served in the room. We loved our stay here and highly and recommend. It was a visit to celebrate my special birthday and they were so kind to provide balloons and some lovely food treats with a drink to celebrate. Thank you Domus Libra, our stay with you in Rome was so special and memorable. We very much look forward to visiting you again!

Nothing!

the complimentary breakfast was the best we had in Italy! breakfast in bed every single morning and endless coffee drinks made this a must stay if you want to be in the center of Rome. The transfer is pricey but Gary is the best and he drives a super cool Tesla. All the ladies on staff are especially helpful booking excursions or whatever you need.

The elevator is super small, and honestly only useful for moving luggage or one person. Otherwise, perfect stay!

The location was excellent. Being downtown was essential for us because we wanted to maximize our time in ancient Rome. Domus Libera was clean, comfortable and cozy. Rowena, the manager, was excellent. Not only is she super friendly and an excellent manager (based on the cleanliness and super breakfast every morning) but she will help you coordinate transportation to insure you don't get ripped off.

Nothing to report. Just loved everything about our stay.

Staff were great and location in relation to the sights of Rome could not have been better. The room was spacious and well furnished.

The hotel is located up a narrow alley way which is not the cleanest part of Rome! There is a retail warehouse across the street which has serial deliveries throughout the day and which leaves piles and piles of rubbish in the alley over night. It is cleared every day, but is not the most pleasant view. Breakfast is supplied at a cafe around the corner. We went twice and didn't bother for the remainder of our stay, even though we had pre-paid. The staff at this cafe were surly and customers arriving from the hotel were treated as the lowest priority. The quality and quantity of both food and drink were below standard.

Perfect location!3min walk to fountain Trevi and around 10min to piaza spanga where you can find all luxury brands. There are so many tasty restaurants just near the domus.Suida is the receptionist. She give us so much helpful advice and treat us as Friends. It's really a nice stay in domus libera

The water faucet is quite hard to control…and the door in the shower room can't be closed smoothly.Breakfast is cute but relatively few varieties

Domus Libera was a wonderful B&B in the heart of Rome - walking distance from all of the main attractions, including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Colosseum. A fabulous street of restaurants very close by - Piazza de Pietra - highly recommend going to El Faciolara for dinner. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Trevi Fountain (five minutes' walk), the great reviews and beautiful photos and it did not disappoint. Breakfast was amazing - beautiful fresh croissants (some of the best we've ever had!) and very good coffee (cappuccino). The rooms were clean and very spacious. The staff were lovely and very accommodating - the manager, Rowena, booked a taxi for us and spoke to the driver to ensure we were taken straight to our destination (not via a "tourist route") and not ripped off. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The location, staff, and room were all to our liking! When we needed assistance with places/directions or even to borrow a pair of scissors, they were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived in the morning and dropped our bags and used the restroom - we had to check in later so they were helpful in getting us settled for the day until our room was ready. Our room became ready before expected, which was also nice!

The only drawbacks with the room were a broken bathroom door handle (which we told the staff about and they promptly fixed) and the fact that there was no blanket for the bed- just a sheet. The bed was comfy and to be sure the city is hot in July. But to sleep you need to close the windows and keep sound out, which requires running the AC. One the AC is running it's nice to have a light blanket to use. Very odd in my mind that there was no blanket! I'm sure a quick ask would produce something? Also, like any city, a lot of Rome smells a bit septic. This area was no different, and I found the stairwell to be a bit moist/moldy smelling and the street outside a bit septic. I think that's the entire city though, and the room was just fine.

This place was fantastic and so comfortable. Within walking distance to all the sights. They were extremely accomodating. They had organised a transfer from the airport but sadly my phone wasn’t working and I never received their message that they were there waiting however I really appreciate their effort in trying to reach me. They went out of their way. The service was just excellent! This was my fourth stay in Rome however my first time at this accomodation and I would definitely stay here again due to the sheer comfort factor…the bed was probably the most comfortable I’d slept on during the entire trip.

The room itself was bright and airy, with high ceilings and a good amount of space. The bathroom had plenty of room and it was nice having two separate sinks.

It could be a bit noisy in the mornings with men yelling on the street below our room, but then again this is Rome. Big cities are noisy. It wasn’t a big issue for us. Also, we couldn’t get the TV to work during our stay although the staff tried really hard to get it fixed. Not a big deal just a minor frustration.
