Hotel Damaso

Excellent location, very friendly & professional staff, clean & modern rooms

Only problem was a big one: very poor internal soundproofing - even with good wax earplugs we could hear the conversations of people in the rooms either side of us, and above us there would be a lot of noise including dragging / scraping of furniture from 6/7am - not great when you are trying to have a restful and relaxing holiday!!

We stayed in Rome for the first time and this hotel was perfect for out 4 day trip. Fantastic location! Walk to all the sightseeing places and literally 3 min walk away from all the restaurants. It's on the busy, well lit road so you feel safe even at night. Windows are well isolated so you can't hear any noise. Very helpful and friendly staff at the reception. Great breakfast. Good selection, nice coffee and on the weekend it works until 10:30 :) Hotel feels new and fresh. Room has everything you need shampoo and showe jel, storage, safe, slipers, robes! Beds are soft and cosy.

Floor was a little bit dusty even though it was cleaned in the morning. It would've been nice to have full body mirror in the room.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for major tourist attractions, all within walking distance. Also it is surrounded by many restaurants and bars but not in a rowdy area. Very comfortable accommodation with the staff very helpful and accommodating and constantly cleaning the communal areas. Although the rooftop bar wasn’t open yet, the view was nice and very pleasant sitting in the sunshine. Breakfast provided plenty of choice including some hot food (bacon and scrambled eggs). Definitely would return to Hotel Damosa and will recommend to friends and family.

Great Roma location close to piazza Navano. We walked to the Vatican and Colosseum. Also very close to plenty of great restaurants and 5 minutes from Covid test Farmacia. The front desk and breakfast were absolutely fantastic — so helpful and friendly. The car the hotel arranged for us to the airport was luxurious and only 10 euros more than the standard taxi. Taking elevator to the 7th floor reveals a great rooftop patio. Thankful for the nice bottle of wine compliments of the hotel. Highly recommend Hotel Damaso.

It looks like a 4-star hotel! The room is very nice, clean and comfortable. The location is great to walk around the main touristic spots! The staff was generally nice. Breakfast is amazing!

The lady in the reception at night is not very nice. While the guy in the morning is super friendly and smiles a lot, she didn't bother. The breakfast room is not big enough and we had to wait a while for the tables to be cleaned to be able to sit down.

Honestly, and easily one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. We travelled with my wife to Rome and chose Hotel D'amaso to stay in. First of all, the staff was super friendly and helpful - our stay coincided with my wife's birthday and helped organise a flower arrangement and some champagne, while we were walking around the city. Moreover, they gave awesome advice to any questions we had around tourism in Rome - ranging from how to get tickets to the key tourist attractions to what's the best shopping mall. I namely want to thank Francesca for being always hands on any type of help! Upon arrival we received a surprise that we were bumped up to the penthouse suite, which gave an extraordinary view of Rome. It had a personal terrace and all the necessary compliments. The beds were really comfortable - if we hadn't travelled there to see Rome, we would have stayed in that bed for much much longer :) Last but not least - location. The hotel is in the heart of Rome, right in from of the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition and within 10-20 minutes walk of the main touristic attractions. Easy to get around and see everything you need to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rome!

Wonderful hotel located in the Centro Storico - between Campo Dei Fiori and Piazza Navona. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a complementary battle of delicious white wine in our room - and, daily, complementary battles of water to wench our thirst in those very hot Roman days. Our room was impeccably clean and spacious and, even though it faced the very busy street below, it was very quiet. We were welcomed by a staff that was friendly, professional, helpful with our very heavy bags and very knowledgeable of Rome - giving us very good suggestions regarding good restaurants in the area. And we greatly appreciate the honesty of the young staffer who, as we were checking out and just about ready to leave, rushed down to the lobby to give us a shirt that we had left in the room. The hotel has a very nice terrace on the top floor and serves a delicious breakfast including eggs, ham, a variety of cheeses, fruit, cakes, cornetti, a variety of cakes and cereals, and very good espresso. We aim to return to the Damaso at our earliest opportunity and we award it a well deserved 10.

I'm pleased to say that our experience at the Hotel Damaso lived up to the many excellent reviews the hotel has received online. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do: very manageable walks to the Vatican, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and the Tiber River bridges (a great spot for watching the sunset), and plenty of restaurant options nearby. Our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It had a very up-to-date feel, and the air conditioning kept the room very cool. The breakfast included plenty of tasty options. As others have commented, the rooftop bar area is a nice place to relax and take in views of the city, and the hotel staff is excellent - very knowledgeable, hospitable, and professional. Overall, it was a welcome place to return to after a long day of touring.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and if we ever return to Rome, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Location was awesome- able to walk to everywhere within 30 minutes from the Vatican to the Colosseum. Friendly, helpful staff with an excellent breakfast.

Nothing!

The room was really clean and comfortable. There was more than enough storage space for us. The room was equipped with a desk as well. The bathroom was well-equipped, having a bathtub and a shower head, a bidet, and decent toiletries. We also found a pair of bathrobes in our wardrobe, which - although unnecessary - made our stay even more comfortable. Cleaning was done on a regular basis and our maid left us chocolates every day. That was a sweet touch that we appreciated.

The TV was minuscule and quite far from the bed, making it difficult to enjoy watching anything. Not necessarily a bad thing if you don't intend to use the TV during your stay. The room was unusually noisy at times and we couldn't figure out exactly why. From the floor plan, it seemed that we were near the bathroom of the adjoining room but the water/bathroom noises were random throughout the day. It couldn't have been that our neighbors were using the bathroom non-stop. It was a bit uncomfortable, especially during the early mornings and late nights.
