Hotel Lunetta

The location is great, walking distance to all major sights. Complimentary daily 45’ of spa (hamam, sauna, pool) is a big plus. Breakfast is good, although the selection does not vary so can get repetitive after a couple of days, great coffee. The room is comfortable. Friendly staff.

We had a couple of service hiccups: upon arrival, we were asked to take a rapid test (in a clinic nearby at extra cost) in addition to our valid EU covid certificate and we had to use the official Italian Ministry of Health communication to prove we did not need to take the test; when booking time at the spa, the receptionist double booked the time slot and we had to solve the issue the next day over several conversations with the personnel. The staff were not proactive in looking for a resolution, promised to call to follow up but didn’t, etc. Minor room improvement suggestion is to add a shelf in the shower. At the moment you need to store shampoo, etc. on the floor of the shower, which is inconvenient.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful 100% of the time; cheerful and polite, a pleasure to deal with. The location is perfect - right in the centre of the old city, so we walked to every sight we wanted to visit and an abundance of restaurants were within a few steps too. The hotel looked newly refurbished - very tasteful decor, very clean.

We booked the Luxury Family Suite, which was described as having '1 Living Room, 2 separate bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms'. The living room was not separate - it was actually just one end of one bedroom, a good sized room but obviously not as convenient as having a separate room that could be used when other family members were trying to sleep!

Location was great, easy walk to numerous piazzas, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was great, staff helpful both prior to arrival and upon arrival. Spa facilities a bonus!

Room was a bit small, no where to open luggage comfortably. Bathroom also small, no where to put toiletries and no shelf in shower for shampoo, soap etc. so had to keep it on shower floor.

-Spa was clean and nice. -Rooftop bar/view. It was a cute, casual place for a drink. -Breakfast buffet had a nice and array of options including some healthier choices like lentils, fruit, vegetables, etc. -Staff were very friendly. -Bathroom was large and modern.

-Breakfast didn’t start until 7:30 am so we were not able to eat before our flight. Would’ve been nice to at least have access to coffee starting around 6 am. Only decaf available in the room. -Spa required a reservation but seemed like it was under-utilized. -Bed was not comfortable. One side felt a little better than the other so it might have just been only or damaged on one side.

This is by far the best location of all the hotels we looked at, 4 minute walk to Piazza Navona, 8 minute walk to the Pantheon and 15 minutes to the Trevi fountain (which is one area you don't want to stay as its incredibly busy and very commercial). The staff were so friendly and incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and airport transfers. The rooms are very small but very modern and exceptionally clean, with plush towels, robes and slippers.

The air conditioning doesn't work this time of year (lowest temperature is 22c) so if you like your room cold to sleep you will need to leave your window open when out go out for the evening to cool the room. Trust me you do not want to leave it open during the night as its incredible noisy (a major mistake on our first night). the roof terrace is also closed until the warmer weather which was a shame as it was sunny but cold during our stay and it would have been a perfect place to sit with a drink late afternoon provided you were wrapped up warm, (however being a Brit, we are happy to get our sunshine when we can, others of you may not agree and prefer to stay indoors).

The staff was wonderful and kind. We looked forward to the continental style breakfast everyday especially after having a few days of pasta and pizza throughout the city, having a fresh breakfast with eggs, fruit, bread and a latte was such a great bonus! Also, the location was perfect. We were within walking distance of everything. Just in between the Vatican and the colosseum. And a quick walk to the pantheon, Trevi fountain and just a bit farther was the Spanish steps. In two days we were able to see most of the city all by foot!

Wish they had On Demand movies. Luckily we had an iPad the kids could use to watch before bed.

Fantastic location, great breakfast, cute little spa, cute roof bar, pretty marble bathrooms, teeny tiny rooms. We booked “luxury” family suite and it consisted of three tiny rooms with three very nice bathrooms. “Luxury” was a stretch as there was zero space in the rooms for anything other than a bed. There was a shared corridor and door that locked going into the three rooms that in total equal a “suite”. I expected at least a little common lounge space. Everything else was great though!

The staff was wonderful and helpful! We loved the bar on the top floor and enjoyed sitting there in the late afternoon. There are stairs from the top floor to the bar area. Close to everything we wanted to see and do in Rome. Campo di Fiori had a market most days and we were able to purchase some local food items. We did not get an opportunity to go to the spa and enjoy the waters/sauna.

Our room was incredibly small. The space around the bed was barely enough for walking and getting into bed. We had no room for our luggage and had to open it in the bathroom. The bathroom was spacious enough.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was initially gave me a smaller room than I'd booked, but they moved to a different room the following night without any issues. They staff were very helpful in helping me arrange transport to the train station, given there was a taxi strike at the time of my departure.

I was initially given a very small room, which was poorly appointed (e.g., no desk, kettle) and not what I had booked. However upon request, I was moved the the correct room the following day. Decor was a bit outdated, but it was still very comfortable.

Service was excellent, they helped to book a taxi and even packed me a breakfast box for my early morning flight without me asking. I loved the spa privileges (45 min free a day) and the location could not have been better.

A few things in my room did not work - fridge, safe. They fixed the safe after the first day. My room was smaller than I expected.
