Great location. Walking distance to all the major sites and close to restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast with plenty of options included. Friendly staff.

There is no individual climate control in the rooms. It is not possible to turn on air conditioning and can get warm. They are able to turn the heat off in the room which helped.

This hotel is outstanding, I can't recommend it enough. The location is perfect (a 30min walk from the Vatican, 10min from the Pantheon, 25min from the Colosseum), the breakfast was extremely good, the rooftop bar had a great atmosphere and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were happy and comfortable.

Lovely modern but comfortable hotel in the perfect location . Walking distance to almost every main attraction and a 4 minute walk from piazza Navona, which has lots of restaurants and a beautiful view for dinner. Also, the bakery rosciolis opposite the hotel was a bonus. The pizza and suppli were incredible (picture attached) and well worth a visit. The hotel itself is lovely and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Especially Leonardo and Melanie. The hotel breakfast was also well above the standard Continental hotel breakfast and was a lovely treat each morning. Also, the rooftop cocktail bar was lovely. They even give you blankets when it's a bit chilly. Couldn't fault the hotel at all and would definitely stay at this hotel again. it's just perfect and the perfect location. We will definitely recommend it to any friends/family visiting Rome also.

Can be a little noisy in the day but it's a main city and you're not visiting Rome to stay in your hotel room anyway so didn't bother us at all.

On arrival we got the train to Termini and then the 64 bus to the hotel! From the bus stop it was a 4 minute walk! When travelling from the hotel back to the airport we got a private shuttle which cost €55. Both were pretty good ways but the private shuttle gave us a couple of extra hours in Rome on our last day. The hotel had a lovely selection for the continental breakfast and the staff where very helpful throughout our stay, with recommendations for nice restaurants and also on the best ways to get around Rome

Just back 15/3/2023 3 days stay in Smeraldo wonderful hotel great location ,spotless clean, great choice at breakfast, front desk staff very pleasant & helpful ,location is within walking distance to all attractions & great cafe restaurants, bakery facing hotel you will see people queueing it's because great food try it PS don't expect a big room as all hotels in Rome are designed with small room size

Centrally located according to our travel plan, we could easily move around the city. Polite and helpful personel, great breakfast offered.

Room floor was pretty cold. Besides that we couldn't adjust the room temperature beyond of the one controlled centrally.

The balcony was great, room was small, even for one person - but did provide all the amenities. Very clean throughout the hotel and room. Loved the roof top deck and restaurant. Breakfast and Staff were excellent. Location was good for getting around and access to needs/sights. The conventience of the restaurant on the roof was great, staff and dessert was amazing. Food (lasagna and bruschetta) was good.

The outside area was uncomfortable since it was always crowed and felt dirty. I think it was because of the deli/cafe across the street. So many people hanging out and eating everywhere - even on the curbs! The roads were not very clean there. At the restaurant on the roof an Apreol spritz was 13 euros which seems a little outrageous. Food (lasagna) was good but not always hot enough throughout.

Staff/front desk was super helpful getting us acclimated with the area. Loved the included breakfast in the morning, especially the super nice, happy man that prepared our cappuccinos/mochas (I'm sorry I did not get his name but he was Asian and super lovely! Loved our rooms-the beds, bedding, pillows were very comfortable! They gave us fans which helped. Our room got to 23.5 but our kids room never got below 27 degrees. Loved the location of the hotel- very walkable to everything! Really liked the rooftop bar too!

The one lady in breakfast area was not super friendly. She seemed a bit unhappy and not super happy when I ordered a second cappuccino. The rooms were really nice but the AC was not great. It was 91 degrees outside. They gave us fans which helped. Our room got to 23.5 but our kids room never got below 27 degrees. They gave us fans which helped. Our room (401) was literally underneath the rooftop bar which was noisy at night especially the moving chairs.
