Hotel Saint John

The location was great, just a short 5 min walk from the Colosseum, great cafes and bars nearby. Quite area for sleeping. Room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was great, set us up for the day. The staff were all polite, smiling and helpful and spoke English very well.

I can't remember the name, but person who worked at the reception December 4th night-morning was super friendly and warm, he had time to chat with us, he was genuine. Rooms small, but clean with good bathroom. Cleaning staff works good. Breakfast is good. Just a good hotel, nothing very good about it, but also not bad.

I didn't like a girl who worked in the breakfast room because, at one point, none of the tables were clean, and there was no cutlery on them. There was a guy who worked there; he was helpful and more experienced.Lobby Bar have very uncomfortable chairs and whole place somehow looked non invinting to chill and have a coffee or wine. Not cozy. They need to improve lounge/bar area to get more from it.

it was a very clean property. the staff were very helpful and friendly. the bed was extremely comfortable and I love that it has AC in the unit.

the breakfast was okay, but could be better. I am sad there was no access to a pool or hot tub, and the location was fairly far from major views. the bathroom toilet paper is hard and is not too soft to use for anything.

Good spot, walking distance from the Colosseum; metro is around the corner. Comfy beds, large bathroom. Breakfast was ok when staying a few days, would get boring staying longer

Wall with the next room’s bathroom was paper thin. Would listen to neighbor’s shower concert every day. We only got 1 pair of slippers and dental kit, which was a bit weird, because the rest were 2 each. Breakfast is amazing! New furniture.

The AC was not working. I was told it was because of the city restriction for April. The room is tiny and gets hot very quick. I slept with the window open but there were garbage and delivery trucks that wake me up in the middle of night. We didn’t have warm water in the shower, it would switch from cold to hot unexpectedly and no warm temperature. One day, a staff member was in our room when we came back from breakfast. She said she was cleaning manager and was checking if the room was cleaned. It was suspicious because it was 9 am and she could simply ask her employees what rooms they cleaned already instead of invading our privacy.

Staff did not believe us that aircondition was not working, they insisted that we don't know how to use it, for 2 nights we slept in room that was super hot (during a heat wave in July), after 2 days they said that is not working and gave us another room. Just a feeling that they underestimated us, rejecting a fact that there is a problem.. no appologies that they were wrong..

breakfast was good. Room looked nice too. Friendly staff. very well located. Good bus connections. You get very easyly to the colosseum.

Aircondition was not working. Apparently the city didn't allow it.

Comfortable stay in clean, nice rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is decent, about 10 minutes walk from Colosseo and then the rest of historic Rome is at your feet. The WiFi works well, is quick and doesn't require repeated sign-on as in some other hotels. The problem that the airconditioning didn't work (as a consequence of new Russian-gas-related ruling) did not occur with us. In spite of high temperatures (30+ deg in May) the room was always cool and nice.

The breakfast is not so great. The shower is a bit small, as is the amount of shower gel provided. There is no ironing board in the room and the one that you can borrow is a bit leaky. But those are just small things.

It was our second time in this hotel and would definitely come back for a third :) Great location, Colosseum is about 8-10 mins walk. Loved the breakfast! Such huge selection, everything was so delicious! Staff was very nice and friendly, and the bed was huge and comfy :) Overall we were very satisfied with everything!

We couldn't turn on the AC due to new energy-saving rules which was not the hotel's fault but was a bit frustrating. It would have been nice to at least being able to ventillate the air in the room. We kept the windows slightly open the whole day, but then noise would come in from the street and some mosquitos too. Would have been worse if it was proper summer heat outside.

we absolutely loved our stay! location was great and safe! staff was so friendly upon arrival and throughout stay, even shared their suggestions to some of our location requests. the rooms were soooo comfortable! they are smaller units but well designed and you do not feel crowded at all! we are definitely recommending to anyone who asks!

not a big deal but our window did not have a view except the brick building across. not a deal breaker though.
