The Cross Hotel

The fact that everyday the room was cleaned, the bathroom was very fancy, also the room was nice, like a 3 star hotel, maybe even 4. It was a minibar in the room and that was great. Bed also very comfortable and the pilows. Nice staff service.

In the room there s old windows and it was Very noisy especially during the night, if you have problems with the sleep, it wasn t great for you. The second problem and maybe the most important was the air conditioner in the cold Days. We setted the air on 30 degrees and after a full day with the ventilation on, in the room was about 23 degrees. Also the floor was so cold that we needed to wear always the socks.

Excellently renovated building. There was no elevator. Porter was called to carry luguagge to first floor. Price quality was excellent (low price for excellent building, room, and location).

There was no elevator. But this was compensated by the porter. A bottle of water in fridge would have been nice.

Comfortable room, very clean, with a small balcony with a view, good breakfast, you could choose whatever is there, with a nice garden and terrace you can relax on. Most of all, we appreciated the kindness of the staff that even though there was not a given for every guest, we asked them to provide us with iron for ironing and they have done it so.

The only minus is that, based on what room you are assigned to, the isolation of the room is a little bad, like you could hear the shower/water from the bathroom of the other room more intensely than the one in your room.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. The bed was perfect and the sheets were great without any fragrance. The staff are very professional, to the point that, the cleaning staff tip toe in the corridor to make sure to not make noise when carrying equipment. That small detail shows how much they care. The breakfast is great value for money and another beautiful area to spend time. As soon as a food item runs out, a new batch comes within what seems like two minutes.

In the room at night their is a green light which flashes from what seems to be a sensor or fire alarm, which may not bother some people but I didn't like It. However that can be resolved with a sleeping eyemask.

the interior and exterior of the proper were lovely very modern and very presentable, not to many floors good size breakfast room, the reception were staff very helpful with calling taxis and spoke excellent English, they were also very quick to deal with any requests. the room itself was a good size for the amount of time you spend in there and the bathroom had a hair dryer as well. towels were changed everyday and the bed made for us.

the staff in the breakfast room kept asking questions in Italian and had no English language skills at all which was an issue if you have a dietary need. only 1 very flat pillow on the bed (requested another and this was sorted for us) there was no tea coffee milk sugar or kettle in the room unfortunately which would have been nice. from the main centre area it’s roughly 30 minutes walking. the bathroom was very compact could barely move, you can quite literally brush your teeth and use the toilet at the same time.

The hotel was OK, relatively close to the Center, helpful personnel, I could even park inside, which is great in Rome. Breakfast altogether good. Room service great, thank you again.

Neighbourhood, especially the building on the other side of the street, does not inspire confidence. Streets in Rome are dirty, lack of cleaning is general, has nothing to do with this Hotel, just to know when you pick your destination. On the other hand, the food is amazing in Rome :) Coffee was not good at all, way too far from famous Italian coffee quality, kindly suggest to change the brand :) I have written 2 letters before I left home to clarify some details, none was answered. The Wifi signal is extremely weak :(

I can't fault this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service from the reception team was brilliant and informative. The breakfast was one of the best I've had on any European hotel, the food was fresh and plentiful. Our room was lovely, we overlooked a quiet back street, we had a nice balcony and despite bright lighting outside the blackout curtains worked perfectly. Despite being October temperatures we in the high 20's and the air-conditioning worked well. Lastly, in the courtyard The Cross Garden, a lovely outside bar area serving light bites and a great selection of drinks was a lovely feature. The couple who run it have excellent customer service skills. Would I come back again... Hell yeah I can't wait!!!

Clean hotel, good location - 10-15 min away from Termini, 10 min away from Scala Sancta and Lateran Basilica as well as 30 min away from Colosseo - for me it not a problem and i actually like to walk in Rome. Clean bath with all necessary things - shampoo, shower cap, towels, hair dryer but no toothpaste and toothbrush. A lot of places to have a coffee and smth sweet… Good impression.

At the reception i was told to pay 24 euros city tax for 3 nights…but i was aware that 3 stars hotel charge 4-6 euro per night - had to pay double price…it was not an issue but could be more clear

The servis at the hotel was great, very kind, helpful and cheerful staff, everything was perfectly clean. The location not far from main trainstation was also great, walk distance from coloseum up to 15-20 minutes. Overall everything was perfect, breakfast was good with quite wide selection. Only thing to mention is maybe we got the room in discount so it was great value for money. If i would pay half that much for the room then maybe i would rate the facilities little bit lower.

Lots of restaurants/bars/supermarkets and couple of shops in the local area. You can relax in the hotel and the bar is 24 hour service in the outside areas and breakfast downstairs. The rooms have a very modern look and spacious, they have a mini balcony doors you can open. Metro to central is a 10 min walk and 2 stops. Taxi is around €15-18 euro to city centre and takes 20 min in traffic. Overall the place is beautiful and modern.

The staff are not so helpful for English people but overall it’s a beautiful hotel in a ideal location.
