Hotel Tuscolana

Hotel was clean, staff was extremely friendly and nice. We got good advices where and when to visit attractions. They offered airport transportation wich was nice since we had early flight back home. Good Italian style breakfast, croisants, toppings, sweet snacks etc.. home made goodness also ! Very close to train and metro stations, so very easy to get places. We even took trip to Anzio beach.

You could hear traffic noise from the street. BUT this was not big deal for us. Did not even need ear plugs at night. Shower drain was not the best but we managed. Not the nicest neighbourhood (like any other area nesr big city) but we used to it in few days. We did not feel uncomfortable walking in the streets.

Breakfast was really good. They serve freshly made focaccia and home made cakes. There is nice buffet with different stuff to pick from (salty to sweet). You can have a real espresso which they bring to your table. And I would do a special thanks to a girl working at the buffet/kitchen for lovely focaccia she made! When we came for the first day receptionist did a detailed explaining on what to see and how to reach places. Additionally she suggested some of the restaurants near the hotel because we didn't want to go to the center for dinner. The restaurants they suggest around are really good but make sure you reserve the table, locals love them too so they can be crowded. Public transport is really 5 minutes away (metro/bus) and the train station has direct regional train to Fiumicino airport.

If you have noisy neighbors in room next to they might keep you awake. This happened just one night, other nights we were fine.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is near the metro station, bus stop and train station. Also, the maintenance staff did a good job when cleaning our room every day.

The walls of the rooms were very thin and the noises from the other rooms could be heard easily. It was the biggest downside of our stay, because the noises weren't over until all people from surrounding rooms went to sleep and began with the first people that woke up: this affected our sleep.

The location was good regarding the vicinity of the underground for the city centre. Very helpful staff. Rooms are on the old side, but clean and tidy. Plenty of towels which are changed regularly. Good breakfast.

Rooms are a bit old and the soundproofing is not good, you hear everything from the other rooms and outside. Parking is a problem because there is just a garage nearby so it is not very practical for unloading in front of the building and then finding a parking place.

The hotel was within walking distance from the train station, and it was staffed 24 hours a day. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they lent me a plug adaptor so I could use my North American plugs. The breakfast was amazing, beyond our expectations. I would say that the staff went out of their way to help us.

Honestly, there's nothing significant to mention. If I had to be picky, I'd say that the shower could have been cleaner, also no coffee in the room, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

location and personel are amazing. The price is very good for what you get. The hotel is located around 5 min from metro station line A, that takes you to the most popular turists places. Breafast was very good expect for the fact there are any vegetables served. Rooms are cleaned eveyday and are enough spacious.

dont vacum the rooms at 8.45 everyday. It is impossible to sleep ;) some vegatables for breakfast would be nice ;)

The hotel is really clean with very good breakfast, the staff is very friendly and helpful, we checked in 10 pm and checked out 4 am no problems. However what is really exceptional is the hotel location, it is 2~3 minutes walk from the metro station, the bus stop and the regional trains station with a direct connection from/to the airport. You can reach all main city landmarks within 20 minutes from the hotel, the central train station in 15 minutes, and there is a large supermarket nearby.

The hotel facade and the surrounding area is not really touristic, but that shouldn't be relevant if you are spending most of the time visiting the rest of the city.

The staff was very friendly, ready to help always. Bianca made the best breakfast and it was so nice of Bruno that prepared the breakfast very early at 6 o'clock even before the normal time of the breakfast for us before our leaving. Many thanks

I can't complain, it was good

Good location just 2 min from metro and train. 15 min by metro to all main attractions of Rome. Big supermarket nearby. Nice and safe neighborhood with lots of local restaurants and cafe shops nearby. It's a good place to stay if you like more authentic/local experiences. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and helped a lot with what to do and tips for places and restaurants. The room was cleaned every day. Coffee machine at breakfast is a big plus.

A bit of an old hotel - The room is very basic. No vegetables at breakfast.

The location is very close by to both metro and the regional station. all the attractions are reachable by metro. the hotel is one the main road and easy to locate. The rooms were tiny but comfy. The staff were helpful and breakfast was available.

No elevators to carry your luggage to the room.
