Excellent location, clean rooms, great lounge area with snacks and drinks during the afternoon and alcoholic beverages and a late night meal later in the evening. Standard public bath facilities for a location in a city. Very easy to walk to Rakuten Mobile Stadium, 2 blocks away from train station on the east side (much less hectic than west of the train station)

No parking lot though there is an expensive public parking garage behind the hotel. About 3000 JPY for 24 hour parking.

Great location - Only a few blocks away from Sendai's central JR station makes it very convenient, and it also has a convenience store on the ground floor. There are a few restaurants scattered close to the hotel, but the majority of food/drink options are closer back to Sendai station and on the West side of the station, so a short 5-10 minute walk. The hotel's theming around Bach is very well done - It's not over the top, though seeing the giant pipe organ behind the check-in counters may be a bit startling when you get out of the elevators for the first time. There's Bach music playing on the speakers at a quiet level throughout the hotel and it's corridors, and lots of musical notation adorning the walls (I don't think I saw a single portrait of the composer himself, funnily enough). The room was lovely - it kept the same Bach theming in a tasteful manner, and even had some extras such as a small bluetooth speaker which encouraged you to pair with it to play your own music in your room, which was a nice touch. The room and bathroom/shower was spotless as one would expect, and well-equipped. Staff and amenities were great - The staff were keen on pointing out to me upon check-in that there were unique snacks available during the evenings, but I unfortunately couldn't try them out due to scheduling. There were public baths on the top floor of the hotel but I also couldn't try these out due to a packed schedule. I was able to use the washing machines and driers on this floor though, they were in great condition and only a few hundred yen.

Nothing whatsoever. A perfect stay.

Beautiful modern hotel. Stunning lobby. 7 / 11 is almost a part of the hotel, there is a secret entrance/exit to get to and from. Parking Lot just behind the hotel. You can get to it via the lobby next to 7/11. Short walk to train station. The room was very nice. Got 2 double beds. Spacious enough for a few nights.

Hot rooms. Can not lower the temp to less than 18C. Due to maintenance the lifts stopped at level 7 every time you went in or out. Mildly annoying but not sure enough to downgraded the score The beds are firm. Not great if you have jacked arms. OK for my partner.

It was a beautiful hotel which was music themed and always smelled so clean and amazing. The rooms were very nice & the beds were comfortable. They offered free snacks in the evening which was also a nice touch and had a direct route from the bottom of the hotel into a 711 which meant we didn’t need to leave the building when it was cold!

The public baths were a little crowded and they also didn’t allow my partner to go in because he had tattoos. We asked if she could cover them with tape but they said no which was disappointing as it was something we were looking forward to and one of the reasons we booked this specific hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here at GrandBach, the view from our room was so breathtaking that we would just sit and admire the view! We opted for the breakfast each morning and both the Japanese & Western style breakfast were incredible, we both looked forward to having breakfast each morning. The service from reception was absolutely perfect, the explanation of everything, allocating us to our tables, to even acknowledging us each time the elevator would make a short stop at reception! We'll definitely miss this hotel and the top tier service that came with it, I wouldn't hesitate to come here again :)

Fantastic experience. I stayed 1 week for business and leisure. The rooms are very new and clean.. The lounge provides free afternoon snacks and late night noodles after the onsen bath. Love the musical vibes everywhere. There is live recital on a grand piano at the lounge. There is even an upright piano at the front entrance for passer-bys to perform randomly. It is so comfortable that I was reluctant to leave.

The area under the sink in my room was wet. I suspect the shower room water leaks into the area. It did not affect my stay at all. But I couldn't communicate this properly to the staff about my suspicion. They did come to dry up the area and asked me to monitor the situation.

Amazing amenities and classy atmosphere, albeit a little expensive. Piano and organ performances in the morning and evenings, with free snacks in the evening. Lovely onsen on the top floor, great in winter. Washer and dryer were cheap too, 300 yen total.

A common problem here: random electric shocks. It wasn't just my friend and I, I saw it happen to other guests too as they opened doors etc! This is a safety issue that should be looked into. The piano/music aspect is nice but not necessary, I've had similar amenities at lower prices elsewhere.

We were pleasantly surprised by the whole stay (3 nights). The check-in was smooth, the room quite large (compared to other similar priced Japanese hotel rooms). The beds were really comfy. The public bath that was in very good condition and the lounge with some live music in the evening hours and free non-alcoholic drinks completed the pleasing stay. The staff was very nice. There was one particular receptionist who really assisted us greatly with sending our 2 suitcases to the next destination. It was our first time using "takuhaibin (宅配便)" in Japan and he patiently walked us through the process. The hotel is also conveniently located and it was definitely in walkable distance from the station. Since GrandBach appears to be a chain I was not expecting too much but will definitely consider this hotel (if we ever get a chance to visit Sendai again) or at least a different branch in another city.

Could not find a thing to complain :)

This is a new hotel near Sendai station. Rooms start on the 8th floor so everyone has some light, the o-furo (communal baths) were outstanding. The rooms are well-appointed. The superior rooms are larger and have more amenities than the double room. We tried breakfast once, it was an assortment of regional tastes, well presented. Staff was very helpufl.

Two elevators is not enough for a busy hotel of this size, we often waited a long time for the elevator to come. Lines sometimes formed on the ground floor for those waiting to go up. Sadly this cannot be rectified.

We liked everything - it's a well-thought-out and well-maintained place.

They don't have a restaurant, offering only basic 'lounge' services. Breakfast has to be booked in advance - something we did not realise until we were denied admision to the breakfast room. Yet the need to make such a reservation is not mentioned on their web page, When we tried to arrange our breakfast on the spot, we were told that they had no capacity for that ('fully booked'). When we tried to reserve it for the following day, the situation repeated itself - they were 'full'. Can they change their website to make this rule at least more explicit?
