Hotel Monterey Sendai

The entrance to the metro & underground food, restaurant & shopping area is across the street, so very convenient. The spa hot spring 'onsen' bath (Not included in room price) has also a steamroom: it looks modern, well maintained and although not that large, it is very nice.

Perfect location right at Sendai Station, and short walk to all the shopping/food imaginable. The staff were very nice and welcoming. We didn’t have much difficulty communicating with what little Japanese we know. It was a great stay overall.

We had breakfast one of the days of our stay. The food was great, however the style of buffet and seating area were a bit high-end/fancy for us. We prefer a more casual atmosphere, personally.

The Hotel is very accessible wherever you want to jam in the city and so close to Sendai station. I like the uniqueness of the property itself. Staff were very kind and hospitable. I’d love to come back again to enjoy the Spa next time. Thank you very much!

Loved this place! Close to everything in sendai. They even held our bags at the front desk while we went away for the weekend! Everything was returned to us safe and sound.

Rooms are slightly dated at this hotel. It’s kind of quaint and memorable, but not as modern as other hotels.

Hotel decor is cute like fairy tales in European style. Close to the train station. Room is spacious. Money for value. *Ask the staff for the parking map if you come with an car.

Good location and view from the room, safety with card access to floor to protect the guests, clean bathroom and water offered in the room.

There was one bed too much in the room which reduced the available space in the room. It was a surprise as when booked it said two beds not three!

It’s a little hard to go there. Cause it is in the other side of station. You need to used sky street to cross the road.

The location was very convenient, right next to the train station. The facilities are nice, clean and secure, with locked doors on each floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable.

The breakfast seemes a little overpriced and they also charge extra to use the onsen facilities. I would expect that guests can use them for free or with a discount price.

The staff at the Hotel Monterey Sendai were superb! Every member of the staff was incredibly courteous from the front desk to the wait staff at the buffet, even the cleaning staff were amazingly kind and went above and beyond for our young family providing an exceptional experience!

The beds and pillows were a bit hard by American standards.

Good location and very clean. The entire decoration is quite “Euro” style, although it looks historical but everything is reserved properly. Staff is friendly.
