GRANA B&B

This place is absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, everything was just perfect. The decor in the bed and breakfast is spectacular and really showcases the beauty of Oaxaca. We enjoyed our rooms thoroughly to include the bed and the extras provided which included a cute hat and bag for shopping. The staff went above and beyond to make sure your stay was enjoyable and were always readily available. The best part for me was the breakfast! They had a spread set out every morning and a special menu item for the day. They also had a whole menu to choose from as well. Incredible! Book now! You won't regret it!!

There isn't much I didn't like about my stay at Grana. I will say that the shower in my room did not produce hot water but I was able to use my friends shower which did have very hot water. Other than that, no complaints.

The location of this B&B is fabulous! It is so close to everything in the city center. The staff was very helpful and kind! The beds were amazing...so comfortable! The room was very clean. We especially loved the access to the kitchen for water and coffee, and they showed me how to use a microwave in another kitchen, so I could make tea every day. The breakfast was excellent! We had an American breakfast with eggs made to order, plus many other breakfast items like delicious pastries, etc. I was very pleased that they remembered my lactose-free milk every morning! I also loved the wonderful, historic Colonial style of the building and the courtyard! Very pretty!

The bathroom is clean, but it would be great if it was upgraded a bit

Amazing staff, extremely friendly & helpful. Awesome breakfast, lots of variety, including delicious Mexican options. The rooms were super clean, lovely shower products & body lotion supplied. Comfortable bed & pillows. Lots of little extras, like yoga several times a week, wine, beer & cocktails available at a reasonable prices & lots of fresh water, teas & coffee free of charge. Great location in Oaxaca, central to everything, especially excellent restaurants & bars. Overall an amazing experience & I look forward to returning one day. Kathy New Zealand

Staying at Grana was such a great experience, I went for a quick work trip, and when I initially booked it, I booked it based off location. So it was such a pleasant surprise when I arrived. The property is beautiful, charming, relaxing, and aesthetically pleasing. The room was bigger than I imagined, it had it's own kitchen, living room, and big bathroom. The AC in the room was very much appreciated as it was very hot. I really enjoyed having 24 hour security and staff that always opened the door for you, I felt extremely safe! The staff was always super nice, kind, and attentive, special shout out to Ale from the front desk who helped me with any questions I had and helped arranged my airport pickup. Also, the breakfast was delicious! You choose your main breakfast the night before, and then in the morning you go and help yourself to the buffet of fresh fruit, bread, toast, pastries, yogurt, granola, juice, espresso machine, fresh coffee. You sit down, and they bring out the fresh breakfast you had ordered the night before, and also offer you fresh hot chocolate or cafe de olla. They even offered yoga classes on the roof. The roof was gorgeous too! I will be staying here again, can't recommend it enough.

Staff are so helpful and nice. Breakfast is tasty and many choices. Perfect location and very quiet at night. probably they have good doors and windows too. Many hotel has a very loud doorbell but here is very tasteful sounds doorbell. It is nice for people coming back late night. Always guarded it is very safe feeling.

I choose a room has a bathtub but bathtub is too deep. They called Japanese bathtub but it is very old fashioned goemonburo version. so I can soak in the bathtub for running water about 2 hours… I felt bad to waste water so much so I only took a bath 1.5 times for my 5 nights stay. they might need to change a normal or shallow bathtub I think…

You get what you pay for and you're paying for a well designed building in a great location. It was 2 blocks away from Sabina sabe, and really close to the templo. Definitely loved that we could drop stuff off the room and come back out without having to leave the Centro. The courtyard was a great place to pass the time. It's shaded and they serve drinks. Wish they had a pool, would've been perfect. The bathroom was huge and they had a full length mirror. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They helped us secure taxis for the airport.

The room was a little small. The TV seemed like an after thought in placement and size. Need to enter your own info to get to streaming services

We loved the decor of our room and the huge bed. The shower was amazing and had great pressure. The best thing about this B&B is the staff, who go above and beyond in helping you. They were amazing with sharing recommendations for in and around Oaxaca even before we arrived. It is also the perfect location for exploring Oaxaca on foot. The breakfasts are also some of the best we have had in Mexico - we loved having dishes fresh from the comal in the kitchen in the morning. The courtyard and roof terrace are also beautiful with lots of local cacti and plants. Thank you Grana!

Wow! Grana is just divine. The location is perfect, walking distance to bars, restaurants, the botanic gardens, galleries etc. There is a street market right outside Grana's front door. The hotel itself is beautiful, so thoughtfully decorated and curated. We loved hanging out in the courtyard, on the rooftop or just in our room. Our room was spacious, light and airy. We loved being able to have the window open to let the breeze and sun in, and watch the passers by. It was so relaxing, especially after a full day of walking around Oaxaca city. There was shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, body lotion, drinking water (plus a straw hat and bag for you to use during your stay!). The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing - fresh fruit, juices, coffee, cooked items that change daily, this was one of our favourite parts! The rooftop yoga on Saturday morning was a bonus. Highly recommend!

Honestly there isn't anything we can fault. The only thing to consider is that there isn't a bar or restaurant on site, if this is something that matters to you (but so much within walking distance that this didn't bother us at all).

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The moment you arrive you are made feel welcome and comfortable. The staff are incredible, as is the hotel itself. The location is fantastic as is the food and the facilities. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Oaxaca if I was going back.

Nothing negative to stay. Possibly as a suggestion having bathrobes in the rooms as that is such a lovely touch (but the hat and bag is such a lovely extra) and maybe a few more umbrellas around the seat areas on the roof but again, this didn’t in anyway take away from the stay. it was beautiful.

Staff was lovely and the facilities were beautiful - understated and very zen while still comfortable, lovely inner courtyard almost dar/riad-like in style. There was a morning yoga session on the rooftop at which I was the only pupil but very much enjoyed the lesson and way to ground myself while traveling. Breakfast was very good and the cooked entree tasty plus continental spread including fresh fruit juice. I also very much appreciated the B+B providing a hat and straw tote bag to take with you during your adventures outside the hotel. Overall lovely and would stay again.

The only complaint is that there is a large wonderful clay bathtub but it wouldn't fill more than ankle level (also it would be a huge volume of water and I'm not sure with the water shortage if this would be a good option in Oaxaca). So the tub was effectively not functional/I don't know if I would be comfortable even if it was.
