Aloft Tulum

Rooftop pool and the hotel overall was outstanding. Parking worked perfectly and frontdesk staff was totally service minded. Decoration of the hotel is really nice.

Staff seemed at bit overwhelmed, by the amount of guests wanting breakfast and the restaurant seemed too small. Long que of guests waiting to be seated for no apparent reason. We should have chosen to eat breakfast outside of the hotel Staff overall seemed to be not totally on top of cleaning. Our room wasn't cleaned

The hotel is great, it has great facilities and one of the best breakfasts in Tulum. However, it is in town, so not so easy to access the beach. You have to use taxi (20-30 USD) and in order to have beach access you have to visit one of the beach clubs (60-120 USD). This is not so much the issue of the hotel, nevertheless something to keep in mind. Also, if you have kids you are not allowed to use the rooftop pool although at the time of the booking this is not mentioned. they have 2nd pool on the ground floor however the water was very cold!

The hotel is SUPER clean, modern, and trendy. I loved the decor and the black-out shades in the rooms. The rooms are perfectly set up, shower pressure was great and the beds were amazing! The staff at the hotel are ALL VERY helpful, welcoming and were always smiling. The rooftop pool is awesome and I really appreciate there weren't any kids at all. I actually didn't see any children at all while we stayed at this hotel! Great for those traveling in couples and groups. Parking is underground, attached to hotel and best of all, FREE!

The location was on the outskirts of the heart of Tulum night life and party scene. There's EXTREMELY excessive traffic to get to trendy beach clubs and restaurants. This isn't the hotel's fault but something travelers should know since they'll have to take a $25-$30 taxi on weekends and sit in traffic for 30min-1hr on weekends.

Had the classic American comforts of a nice bed, easy to use AC, and being very clean which were much needed after some severe flight delays putting us in at 2am. Nice room views and cute decor. luggage storage was a plus as well.

The taxis they provide charge you almost double the amount of ones in the streets of Tulum town. Bathroom was lacking privacy. Not an issue for us but could be for some! Not the most walkable- needed a 10 min taxi drive to the main town for breakfast.

after 3 weeks off mi staying there.they charge me 99 dollars out off the blue, unespectable,don’t know why or how.after 3 weeks . very wear & untrusting

The staff was amazing. All front desk members were amazing, I definitely bothered them with some repetitive questions and they were always cordial and amazing. The rooftop bartenders were friendly and lively. Ivan, and I believe the other gentleman name was either Fernando or something that started with an "H" (please don't judge me we get 2 beers and that kind of kicks the night off with the drinking and with the swimming in the pool sometimes my memory isn't that great but the gentleman had curly wavy hair), were amazing waiter/bartender. They gave me some places to go too that locals might enjoy and their service was always on par. I would definitely recommend this place because it is modern style with everything. I wish they had a bigger pool at the rooftop though and the water was warmer at night due to the wind that picks up but it did feel really nice to stay there. As a guest you get 2 free beers everyday, 20 USD or 400 mexican pesos worth of food, complimentary breakfast, and shuttle services to certain places which are all really cool in my opinion. I wish the gym was a little better though with a rack or something it would make it fun to do some real workouts because honestly it makes the lounging around much more worth while. Overall I would go to this place again just cause of the amenities it offers.

The gym could have been bigger with a little more equipment. Like a free squat rack with some real weights. The floor to the gym needs to be better. Whoever built that gym wasted it on the biggest thing by making those floors. People sweat a lot in that gym and with the way the floor is it can get slippery real fast.

The hotel is very comfortable. We liked the room design and nice smell. Bed is nice. Hotel also has a ice machine that we used frequently. Fitness is well equipped and clean. There are two pool, also very clean water and big enough to swim. Free bike rent was a big plus.

We did not like the destination fee, can be a bit confusing at the start what includes and what not. Some dishes in the restaurant were not very delicious. Bar and restaurant is overly expensive. They advertise jungle, but the jungle is far gone.

I originally booked a hotel on the main Tulum beach strip but due to seaweed season and the LOUD noise form local bars & restaurants I decided to relocate to Aloft which is just outside of the main strip. Aloft was just the oasis I was seeking!! Our room had a jungle view which made us feel like we were surrounded by nature. It was so QUIET and 1/4 the cost of the strip hotels :-). The staff was so helpful especially Enrique! The hotel is new, chic and modern and has 2 pools!! They also provide COVID testing at the hotel for $35. They offer breakfast in the morning and small bites at the rooftop pool.

No complaints! We went during the rainy season so it would be nice to heat the pools so we could enjoy, but thats just a minor suggestion. Thanks Aloft!!!

Every detail has been though about. Great design, comfortable installations, wonderful rooftop pool, lounge and restaurant. Well trained staff. You can feel well thought Marriott standard vs. regular Mexican service.

Though close to the beach, it has no beach front.
