Acostar Hotel

After reading some of the previous reviews I was a bit anxious however if your an avid traveller and know the drill with city hotels you have nothing to worry about - room was a decent size for what we needed, room was clean, bathroom was modern and bigger than other city hotels I’ve stayed in, bed was super comfy - yes there were lots of steep stairs however that is also to be expected if you want a hotel right in the city - all in all great stay and if your there to explore not spend the day in the hotel you’ll have no issues at all

My only comment would be it advertises ‘free tea and coffee in the lobby’ which to me says no time limit etc however this is restricted to 7am-12pm - It wasn’t an issue but my only feedback would be to mention this on the advertisement (coffee was lovely though!)

The hotel is wonderfully convenient to trolley lines 12/ 2 and access to museum district, gay establishments and walking along canals, shops, etc. The staff was consistently courteous and helpful. I requested and received a rear room, which was quite quiet, 69 steps up to 4th floor. There was great view through treetops of the neighborhood.

"Breakfast included" was good coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate etc from vending machine. I was expecting more. Lighting in the bedroom was a little dim, although I didn't spend much time in it. The bathroom, sufficient in size, was unheated, and the bathroom shower floor needed edging to keep water in, got slippery.

Liked the location of the hotel. Plenty of city life around it and quick to get to central on the tram service.. also held baggage on last day to save us carrying everything while we done more exploring

Loved the pent house.. 🤣 we got the top room in this house. Was brilliant tho to many stairs to get up when you had a few beverages..

Lovely cozy hotel, great location. we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go during our trip and only had to use the tram to and from the main station. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we got fresh towels every night which was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were friendly, Location fantastic close enough to bars and restaurants but also quiet enough to enjoy your stay

The stairs were not an issue for us but people with not great mobility would struggle. Mosquitoes were a problem but I know this is probably not an issue the hotel can deal with

Pretty decent location being 2 mins walk from tram line to Centraal Station & 5 mins walk to Leidseplein to have a night cap before bedtime. The room was basic but really served our purpose - to have a good sleep and a good shower in the morning.

Rooms are fairly small.

Hotel is right in the heart of the bars and restaurants, easy to commute to other area's also. Bed was super comfy compared to some hotels.

No air con but we did have a fan that we left on whilst we slept - other than that it was a great hotel.

Perfect for the star rating. Great location, comfortable beds, en-suites, all four rooms were clean, heating if needed…and windows that open! better than premier inn! friendly staff, delicious hot drinks available from reception from 8am until 12pm. would stay again

The top floor deluxe room was amazing with a massive bathroom including 2 sinks a giant bathtub and a lovely rain shower. The room has a lot of space and beautiful big windows looking out across the city.

The room did have a weird smell I believe coming from the sewage so when we would come into the room after spending the day out we would open the windows pretty quickly to air things out.

The location of the hotel is excellent, everything you need is nearby.. Lots of great food choices and it's within walking distance to both the van gogh museum and the Anne Frank museum. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Mustafa who went to great lengths to make my stay perfect.

There's nothing I didn't like, I had a fantastic stay and overall I'm really impressed.
