The rooms on the pictures when you book look bigger and the rooms are really small you can´t walk in the room.

We specifically chose the hotel for its location, steps away from the Rijksmuseum (oh yes, we came for Vermeer!), and it is also very close to the departure point for the Blue Boat company and to Vondelpark. Beautiful building, and we loved our room with view of the water. Multiple examples of wonderful staff - caring, friendly and helpful.

Layout was a bit quirky, but manageable. Small bathroom, but we still loved our room. Breakfast was crowded and busy, but your nice staff helped us manage around it. Noise from the street only when windows were open. The balcony needed cleaning, but the room was perfectly clean.

We were very late arriving due to a delayed flight. The man at the desk couldn't have been more helpful. He even found milk for my tea. The room was on floor 4 and had a view of rooftops and distant landmarks. We were expecting to be in one of the subterranean rooms as we had booked at the lowest room rate so this was a real bonus. The heating worked well. Hotel location was excellent as we were visiting the Rijksmuseum. Breakfast was good. There was plenty of choice.

Everything was very good, for us - but just note that if you arrange to have your room a bit longer in the morning after the check out time - the keys stop working at 11,00 a,m, so you have to get them reset.

We had a two night stay at this hotel. First of all the location can't be any better! Close to museums and public transport. The airport shuttle stops just a block away! The standard room was clean and since on the top floor it was quiet. The room itself was super tiny! We had to walk sideways between the bed and a table. Bathroom was modern and you guessed right- teeny tiny! It was not a big issue for us since we had a short stay and haven't been spending much time in the hotel anyway. However we found the attitude in reception little bothersome. Better training of staff might be helpful. Would we stay again? Definitely! You can't beat the location!

Excellent breakfast and pleasant staff. The location was perfect.

Rooms and bathrooms were very small and there was a strange sewer smell in the hallway.

The room was looking at a main road so it was a bit noisy.

The original room we reserved ended up being too small to be comfortable for a full week. We asked to upgrade our room and the staff showed us several options for us to choose from. The move was quick and easy. As an added bonus, they upgraded our room free of charge. We were absolutely thrilled. Thank you so much!

The only thing I did not like about the rooms was that the bathrooms were really tiny. I do understand that the space is limited, and overall it had very little effect on the stay.

The location is phenomenal, about one block from the Rijksmuseum, and on one of the premiere shopping streets in Amsterdam. We asked for and received a room facing the interior courtyard, so it was quiet. Free takeout coffee from the machine next to the breakfast space in the morning was welcome.

The rooms are quite small (expected for this location), with just enough space to walk around the bed. There is no room to have a roll-on suitcase open (we put ours, closed and upright), under the board that serves as a tiny desk. The hotel's circulation spaces, such as hallways, are a bit tight as well, and the emergency stairs, which we regularly took to keep fit, would not pass a building inspection in the US (way too tight and steep) but we got used to them during our one-week stay. Something to fix: the soap dispenser which had come off the wall above the bathroom sink before we moved in. It needs to be glued on again.

This is my second stay & I would stay again. Helpful staff - speedy check in, etc. The rooms are somewhat small & expensive for their size, but everywhere costs are going up . I think the most marvellous thing about this hotel is the location. It's minutes away from the museums etc, Spiegelgracht shops, nine streets etc.

Every time I used the shower the floor flooded. The door barely fitted in the frame leaving a small gap all round allowing water to escape.

Location was excellent. Able to easily walk to everything we wanted to experience in Amsterdam. Breakfast was also excellent, and the staff there accommodated us even though we reached the breakfast buffet one minute before cutoff. Enjoyed the complimentary chocolate, stroop & apples at the reception desk. Nice touch.

Parking was an issue but known in advance. Construction vehicles used the few loading locations in front of the hotel, making loading car difficult.
