Krisotel

We were upgraded to a room with 4 beds as the one with two was no longer available. It was a spacious room with nice amenities (hair dryer, coffee machine and bottled water, liquid soap and shampoo), fantastic two-headed shower, a good storage shelf and hooks, desk, chair, 24-hour coffee/tea/espresso in lobby, and a luggage room to enable us to see the town after checkout without e was outstanding for the price, which was half the cost of the nearby properties. Also, it is very convenient to transit lines. Great location!

Be forewarned: There is an elevator to the floors with the rooms but there is a half-flight of steps to reach the front desk from the street and two or three steps to reach our room, # 38, and two more to get into the bathroom. The hallways and doors could use a cosmetic refresh, but the lobby lounge/breakfast room is very nice.

One day (night between 22 and 23 Dec) I was robbed. I felt bad and asked the guy on the reception to help me to call to the police as I had no phone. He told me the wrong address and then refused even to call to the police from personal phone (the working phone did not work). And refused to help me any other way. The worst person I’ve ever met on similar jobs. Otherwise all other guys and ladies from Krishotel were friendly and helpful, so for me it’s a good hotel.

The location is great. Just a few minutes walk from the center of Amsterdam. The staff was amazingly nice. All of them. The receptionist, the breakfast room manager. They did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The facilities look new and renovated. , *Because most places in Amsterdam are narrow and small, we took the bigger room.

If you are sensitive to noise, be advised that trams, buses and all road sounds will be heard... Over the weekend you will even hear people on the streets with their full throat.

I had great service from everyone at the hotel! The staff went above and beyond to help me store my baggage, find my train and even lend me an outlet adapter

Traveled to the hotel for my birthday weekend with my significant other. We were looking for something central, super-nice, and value for money. If you want these three criteria satisfied look no other place. KRISOTEL has it all and more.... the staff especially the receptionists Feroz and the other gentleman were super friendly, and went out of their way in order to make our stay a special one plus the hotel was clean and conveniently located. Will surely be back next time! 10/10 recommended.

The price of hotels in amsterdam is too high!

Such a lovely little hotel. The receptionist was a true gentleman and he looked after all our needs. The hotel itself has a wee story behind it if you are inclined to enquire! Location wise, it's about a 3-5 minute walk from Leidseplein square and also within a short walking distance of Vondelpark. There is a coffeeshop right across the street and no shortage of restaurants around! The wi-fi is also very good, and there is free coffee in the lobby!

Nothing, well maybe the room was a little small. But I think this may be less to do with the hotel and more to do with the Netherlands in general. So many people for such a small country so space can be at a premium sometimes!

Convenient location: 30 min walk to central train station, 5 min to pubs and restaurants, 10 min to Van Gogh museum, 15 min to Madam Tussauds museum; located on a quiet street with no heavy traffic. Everything in the room is new and modern. Fine breakfast. Very helpful and friendly personnel.

Even though the room matched the description for 100%, it appeared depressingly small: not enough space to unpack your closes, the small table was all occupied by the hotel belongings (like phone, coffee machine) - so you physically can't use the table for your needs. Poor sound isolation: you can hear all neighbours talking, walking, watching TV even when they are not being loud.

Breakfast was very adequate; both front desk and kitchen staff were quick and friendly.

We totally understand that the quests at Krisotel have the option to stay in their rooms until 3pm, which we from the US find hard to comprehend. We traveled overnight and had to wait until 3pm to get into our room. The hotel did accomodate holding our bags, but we walked around like Zombies. We were exhausted from the overnight travel and with little sleep found this difficult. We were totally aware of your hotel policy and would not recommend anyone from the US to make a reservation due to this policy, but take a night stay at the local airport hotel which provides almost immediate check in.
